thanks

It was about $2,000—you can split it into two payments, one before the procedure and the rest on the day of surgery, and you can definitely negotiate for an American rate.

p.s. I'm not entirely certain if his prices are set in stone, though.

Kate Taylor59—he doesn't really show off a portfolio of photos, but I saw some shots from a guy on this forum, and it seems clear he really advocates for a natural look, which is honestly exactly what I'm looking for.

Exactly like Dr. Glushac... this is just what I was getting at earlier. Everyone deserves a nose that actually fits their face. And what photos?! There isn't some damn catalog of noses out there—and there's a good reason for that!
Sophia Hill22, I am seriously so happy for you!!!! 🙂 I'm dying to see pictures once you've recovered a bit. 😍

Does anyone here have any firsthand experience balancing piercings with surgery? I'm mainly wondering if I'll need to have them all removed—especially my tongue piercing—and if there's a timeline for when I can safely put them back in. Also, I've heard rumors about specialized replacement piercings designed specifically for X-ray exams; has anyone encountered those? Finally, does anyone know what the cost for the procedure is with Dr. Glushac, and whether he offers any financing or installment plans?🙂

Glushac can say whatever he wants about using the most advanced techniques and all that... and the rest of them too... but personally, I’m leaning heavily toward Zambelli. I've heard nothing but incredible things about him, and honestly, his work on nose shapes is just my style. 😉
Even Severina, who has had her nose messed up three different times, decided to go with him specifically.

I mean, I've heard such wonderful things about him, and I just absolutely love the results he gets with noses! 😉
Even Severina, who had her nose issues for the third time, decided to go with him specifically.

Wait, is Zambelli actually an ENT?
He isn't. And if you ask me, anyone acting totally normal should probably take them out of the running for nose surgery altogether.

Personally, I don't think I would ever even consider having nose surgery with a doctor who isn't an ENT. To me, that feels a bit like asking a cardiologist to operate on your leg, you know? 😁

It isn't necessarily ideal for a surgeon to focus solely on ENT when it comes to aesthetic procedures; in fact, the most seamless results often come from someone who specializes in both ENT and plastic surgery. To my mind, such a specialist offers the most comprehensive approach to rhinoplasty, providing the peace of mind that they are equally skilled in balancing facial aesthetics with functional breathing.

briskseal99 said:Honestly, it’s not even ideal if the surgeon is just an ENT when you're looking at cosmetic work. The absolute sweet spot is finding someone who is both an ENT and a plastic surgeon. To me, that’s the gold standard for rhinoplasty. At least then you can sleep easy knowing they actually care about how it looks *and* making sure you can still breathe through it.

And that’s exactly what Carol Parker57 was getting at. She wouldn't dream of letting a plastic surgeon touch her nose if they didn't also specialize in ENT stuff.

Oh, give me a break! He hasn't shown a single one to me. 😁 So, you're gonna be the one asking him? Did he show you any of my pics? Apparently, he was just thrilled with my nose 👍 and even the fact that I actually bothered to show up for a follow-up after two whole months... He goes on about how people don't usually come back after that much time (claims only unhappy people return to complain, while the satisfied ones just move on with their lives... yeah, right, he thinks all his patients are perfectly happy)... so he took some pictures of me.

Even Severina, after having her nose messed up three different times, went straight to him.

You could argue that Severina basically paid for that nose job through publicity... she's essentially his walking billboard. Some doctors don't even need that kind of hype; their work speaks for itself.

But then again, there's something to be said for a doctor who operates on someone in the spotlight (you know, those red carpet types and all that nonsense). At least you know they'll go above and beyond to make it perfect—not necessarily for you, but because they absolutely cannot afford to look like a hack in front of the cameras. 🤣

Whatever. I wasn't really asking specifically—can't remember if he showed yours too, but I know he showed mine... 🤦

Looks like I’m finally doing it too. I've been putting off surgery for over two years, but there's no point in stalling anymore.

Mainly because my breathing is terrible—actually, non-existent😠—but I'm still a little nervous about using an insurance referral at some random hospital.🤷

After reading through your posts, Glushac seems great, maybe even the best option here. The distance is a problem, though. Toncic (the older one) and Bastajic also look interesting; I hadn't heard much about Bastajic until I started paying attention to your comments.

Does everyone get to stay overnight at the clinic on the first night, or is that not a thing?
Do they actually respond to emails if you reach out first?
rustygardener172 If you're still sending photos, could you please DM some to me as well?🙂

If someone’s got a deviated septum plus a bone spur, does fixing the deviation automatically take care of the spur too? Or is that thing just gonna stick around? 😕

wiredwalker86 said:So, here’s the deal with septum issues. If you're dealing with a deviated septum along with that annoying little bump—what doctors call a dorsal hump—you gotta know that they aren't necessarily two birds with one stone. Usually, if you go in just for a functional septoplasty to fix your breathing, they might only focus on the internal stuff. In those cases, that bump stays right where it is. It’s like fixing the engine of a car but leaving a huge dent in the door; the car runs better, but it still looks a bit rough. However, most people who decide to get this done end up asking for a rhinoplasty at the same time. That’s when the surgeon tackles both. If you tell them, "Hey, while you're in there fixing my breathing, let's smooth out this bump too," then yeah, it gets taken care of in one go. Basically, it all depends on what you actually tell the doctor during your consultation. If you're only worried about being able to breathe through your nose, the bump might stay. If you want the whole aesthetic overhaul, you've gotta make sure that's part of the plan! 😕

Look, you don't just rip that pin off... that falls under the whole aesthetic vibe.
