I'd love to see that nose photographed under the exact same conditions as the old one... it looks way too small to me... where are her nasal passages? There are holes at the bottom, but how does air even get to the tip? It looks a bit "flat"... almost like someone hit her in the face with a frying pan... there's no profile. I really hope that's not the case. 😁

Yeah, it's subtle, but to me, the difference between before and after is night and day.

Does anyone happen to know which surgeon Iva Saric went to for her rhinoplasty? Her nose looks absolutely stunning now.

In my case, there wasn't any blood trickling down my throat—mostly because I had my nose packed with gauze, which does a perfectly fine job of catching all that mess

Iva Saric claims she hasn't had any nose work done...
Regarding Zambelli, one girl actually went under his knife—she’s a member on page 79 of the Forum... she even posted a photo...
What I really want to know is, what kind of damage does he do to your wallet? How much does it cost to go to him?

Someone actually had surgery with Zambelli and posted photos on page 78 of this Forum...
I'm just trying to figure out what his rates are these days...

I read somewhere that it costs around $2,400, but I'm not sure if those prices still hold up. Does anyone know? And sorry, I feel like I'm repeating myself, but does Zambelli actually remove the hump or just sand it down? Dr. Glushac says he removes it completely so you don't end up with tiny bumps later, so I'm curious about Zambelli's approach to that.

As for Iva Saric, she definitely had her nose done—you can see it from an airplane.

Total fail. 😢

Totally agree. Just flat. 🤣

Personally, after anesthesia, I didn't throw up or anything. I just felt freezing and was shaking like a leaf... 😬

wearyotter112 said:I had my closed rhinoplasty done, and honestly, there was zero pain—I handled the whole thing like a pro. No issues at all, except for that annoying moment when they pull out the packing... But here's the kicker: the results are absolutely terrible. Now I’m looking at a revision surgery, which is why I've been asking about Zambell and Glushac. I'm really torn between those two.

Who did you go to for your procedure? I'm wondering if the closed method actually hurts less... or if it's basically all the same. As for Zambell... she does produce beautiful little noses.👍

So, I have a deviated septum—though breathing isn't actually an issue for me—but my nose is pretty crooked toward the left side, and honestly, it’s just really bothering me from an aesthetic standpoint...
Is there any chance I could get this surgery covered by insurance (or maybe at least have them pick up half the tab)? I just can't swing the full cost right now $5000 (I mean, I could probably manage up to 😁 8,000), and I really don't want to spend my whole youth feeling self-conscious about an unattractive nose 😢.
Does anyone know which surgeon is actually good?

Who's a decent surgeon?

I think so, yeah, but honestly, who knows how long you'll be stuck waiting on those lists... they're massive. And if I recall correctly, you'd be limited to doing it at a public hospital, which is basically a nightmare 🙄
I heard Glumicic asks for 8 $0.00, so frankly, he might be a better bet than anyone working out of a state hospital...

Any recommendations for a solid surgeon?

I actually posted a super similar question a few weeks back, and honestly, I'm still hunting for more details on this...

So, you mean $2.75 for both the deviation and the aesthetics using a referral?

Also, I'm wondering if every single hospital is truly that much of a disaster where they can't produce a decent-looking nose, or are there actually some good ones out there (you know, surgeons who actually care about doing a good job without needing a mountain of cash) 😁? 😲

God, I really don't know if all of that is worth it for $2667....you should probably go in for consultations first...
You know what, it's tough... because those places do everything in a much worse way... you have these massive, thick tampons shoved up your nose for five days... whereas private clinics supposedly remove the packing or splints by the second day, which makes it a lot less painful (supposedly).

So, I figured it was finally time to share my own experience. It’s been about a year since I had nose surgery—both for the aesthetics and to fix how it actually functions—with Dr. Glusca. Prim. Dr. Ljubis BastaicI honestly have nothing but praise and pure satisfaction to share. The initial phone consultation was incredibly smooth—super professional and fast. Then, two weeks later, I went in for my in-person appointment at the clinic, and once again, everything went perfectly. We were totally on the same page from the get-go.

So, I was dealing with this massive hump on my nose, and to make matters worse, my breathing was totally off because everything was shifted to the left side. It was honestly such a nightmare! Having my nose suddenly start acting up like that at 27 was just too much, so I finally decided it was time to get it fixed. When I sat down with the doctor, I made it super clear: I don't want any bumps, I want a look that’s completely natural, and I really need him to consider my entire facial structure. My biggest fear was looking like a different person, so I told him I wanted to look like "me" when facing the mirror after the surgery—basically, I just don't want the procedure to totally change who I am.

So, first things first—I spent about four months digging around for the right doctor, looking through options in Canada, Italy, and the US, obviously sticking to anyone with solid positive reviews. I actually just met a girl on this forum who ended up having her surgery with Dr. Bastaic.

It’s been a full year now, and only this past month has that tiny, micro-level swelling finally settled down completely. Honestly, I’m really happy with how everything looks aesthetically; my expectations were pretty high, but I kept them grounded in reality, which helped. Even my breathing feels so much better now. As for advice on picking a surgeon, I don't have much to say other than this: it is absolutely vital that you find someone you actually click with on a personal level.

I really hope my experience can help someone out here... If I manage to track down a decent before and after photo, I'll definitely post it.

I haven't read every single post here (to put it bluntly: pure laziness) 🙂 but I have been wondering about something: is it actually possible for someone covered by insurance to conclude that rhinoplasty must be performed for medical reasons (making it free)? If such a thing is possible, what kind of medical justifications would even qualify for that?

Of course it is possible. I suppose you would start by visiting your primary care physician and requesting a referral for a specialist consultation. In my own experience, I found myself unable to breathe properly through my nose; well, I could breathe, but only when I was resting. If I required a greater intake of oxygen—which I often do since I am quite active in sports—I essentially had to rely on breathing through my mouth.

That isn't true, at least certainly not in my experience. To put it briefly.
I had surgery on Friday morning, the packing was removed Saturday morning, then the splints came out on Monday morning, and here I am at home typing this post. I can breathe without any issues at all. My nose shows absolutely no swelling whatsoever. I have a follow-up appointment in a week, and then we will see when I can get back to training. Of course, I didn't have any cosmetic work done since my nose is already perfect 🤣 The procedure was performed at Dubrava Hospital by Dr. Ozegovic (they say he is one of the finest, even for aesthetic work, and everything went smoothly for me).

Have you ever considered the possibility that doctors in public hospitals perform many, many more surgeries annually than private practitioners, and therefore they possess that much more extensive practice?
Or perhaps you haven't thought about how many doctors working at private clinics also practice at the public hospitals?

Please don't take this the wrong way, everyone, but I personally think this nose looks absolutely stunning. Everyone has their own taste and every opinion is valid, but I simply had to share mine... it’s beautiful. That said, I certainly respect those who see things differently. Honestly, I might just have to book an appointment with Glumicic myself!

Hey everyone... so, does anyone here actually have experience with just getting their nasal tip shortened? My nose is basically "perfect" by most standards—it's narrow, no bumps, nothing like that—but it just feels way too pointy. It’s not even bulbous or anything, it’s just... too long and sharp!
I've already checked in with specialists at both Salata Hospital and Dubrava Hospital (can't quite remember which surgeon I saw), and honestly, almost nobody wants to touch it. They all basically tell me there's no medical reason to do it, hm... (And look, I'm not some delusional person living in a fantasy world, haha, just so we're clear)
I've been reading through your stories, so I gotta ask: has anyone here actually gone through with just a tip reduction? Or does anyone know a doctor who wouldn't just brush me off?

James White3 said:Of course. You simply visit your primary care physician and request a referral for an examination. In my specific situation, breathing through my nose was nearly impossible—well, I could manage it, but only while remaining completely sedentary. If I required a higher intake of oxygen, which is necessary given my involvement in athletics, I would be forced to rely entirely on mouth breathing.

And now, I have one further question: in such a scenario, does the surgery focus solely on correcting the functional issue, or does it encompass aesthetic improvements as well?

Thanks so much!

Hi there, Brandon Hughes7!
Wishing you all the best with your surgery. Please, please check back in once it's done—Dr. Glusca is actually one of my top choices too. I'm looking at getting my own procedure sometime in the next month or two, just currently stuck in that phase of trying to decide which surgeon to go with. Honestly, rustygardener172's nose looks absolutely STUNNING!!!!
