It’s easy for older guys to talk about what they think they see, but my buddy is the team physiotherapist and he says Lina gets kicked out of the locker room regularly during halftime. First gold will go to Smajlagic, then maybe Balic tomorrow.

Jebiga, I find it hard to believe myself when I tell people I heard it firsthand.

Fair enough, but let's keep the political commentary out of this, or I might just have to revoke your Republican Party membership card! 😁

I believe you,πŸ™ πŸ™
But it begs the question, doesn't it? Why do they continue to tolerate him as their coach? Why does everyone just swallow his decisions regarding the roster without a fight? And how is it that not a single player has ever spoken up publicly if they are truly this dissatisfied? That is what I would like you to explain to me.πŸ‘

And besides, what good is being right in this situation? What beautiful little victory is there to be gained by proving you were correct all along?😁

β€”really, I do! But man, if that’s the case, why on earth does everyone just sit there and tolerate him as the head coach? Why is nobody pushing back against his roster decisions? And honestly, how is it that we haven't heard a single peep from the players themselves if they're truly this fed up? That’s what I’m struggling to wrap my head around πŸ‘

.

It’s not like the players put him in that seat to begin with. Everyone knows exactly who really pulls the strings here.

I am absolutely convinced that Lina's dislike stems solely from "politics" and politics itself.

Because there really isn't any other reason. There simply isn't!

Let me repeat myself:

The man is currently competing in the EuroBasket finals, and using his American squad, he has already secured:

2003 World Cup Gold
2004 Athens Olympics Gold
2005 World Championship Tunis Silver

So, can you please tell me what possible sporting reasons exist to deny or downplay the work and achievements of a coach like him? πŸ˜‰

I suppose that's just the hallmark of Generation X, 🀣isn't it?

It’s easy to sit back and criticize what you see on the surface, but my buddy who works as a trainer for the national team tells me that Lina is the one consistently getting pulled out of the locker room right when halftime hits. If we're talking about who really delivers the gold, it was Smilagic first, and tomorrow it'll be Balic.

And we even heard from Ε ol regarding all of this. πŸ˜‰

The French have been whining about how we were playing dirty, calling us fakes and claiming the refs let us run the clock way too longβ€”I mean, Karabatica says it was five minutes while Girault insists it was only three... so yeah, it’s not just us making excuses about the officiating.

And tell me, what's the point of being right? Is there some grand prize for being correct while everything falls apart? 😁

Man, you've got it all wrong... How can anyone be bothered by someone who does nothing besides wait for the right moment to play defense and then flip the script to attack? It's simple tactics: use the offense to set up DominikoviΔ‡ for the defense.πŸ™

The energy in the stands was incredible. I think I lost my voice most when everyone started chanting "Lino Cervar" and shouting at the sports news reporters. Honestly, you all deserve nothing but a kick in the teeth, you absolute hacks. You didn't earn this result, and you certainly don't deserve this national team.

I'm heading to bed now.

Even Zevko claims this is the greatest generation of NBA players we've ever seen. So, what now?

I’d probably be shouting too, but only because Lino is a total clown. People chant names like his or Ciro's just to mock them.

nimbledriver81 said:Hey there, buddy, why are you turning simple criticism into pure hatred?

The reason is that I haven't seen any actual, reasoned critiqueβ€”just mindless rambling like "Lino Cervar is terrible," "Lino Cervar is a joke," or "Lina DominikoviΔ‡ is coaching this team." From the people I’m actually talking to, I haven't heard anything factual like, "Lino Cervar is our coach and he's guided us to the World Championship finals," or "Lino Cervar built this roster."

Or, at the very least, could we just stop bringing him up altogether?

Where I come from, making ungrounded criticisms while completely ignoring the positive FACTS is usually what people call hate. 🀷

It’s a bit like having a beautiful, brilliant wife and never telling her how great she is, but instead constantly nagging her about what she did wrong.

All out of pure love and for her own good, of course. What do you think? πŸ™„

coastalseal87 said:Even Zovko thinks this is the greatest generation in handball history, so where does that leave us?

Nothing. We’ll just have to take Zovko at his word and look back at who actually built this legendary roster, under what conditions they were assembled, and everything they've managed to conquer so far. πŸ™

coastalseal87 said:I’d probably be out there cheering too, but mostly because Lino Cervar is such a clown. People chant his name just to mess with him, kind of like they do with Ciro.

Look, Lino Cervar is basically a legend, much like Ciro. They’re the ones behind our biggest wins. People kept saying, "The Frenchmen are going to outsmart us tactically," but it feels like they pointed the gun in the wrong direction this time. Tomorrow, we go hard against Dance, and then we'll celebrate in Times Square.

wearyeagle2 said:Lino Cervar is a true legend, right up there with Ciro, when it comes to driving our biggest sporting triumphs. He once warned that "the Frenchmen are going to tactically dismantle us," but looking at things now, it feels like they might have been aiming their guns in the wrong direction.

wearyeagle2 said:Tomorrow we take on Dance, and then we’ll all be meeting up at Rockefeller Center to celebrate. Who's ready?

To be honest, Denmark looks a little too strong to me to be feeling that confident about us taking them down. Should we really be this sure? πŸ™

But, just like coastalseal87 and Zovko always say, "Is it just me, or are we looking at the greatest generation in the history of handball?". πŸ™
