Honestly, Hangover 100 is absolutely zero percent funny—I didn't crack a smile once—and even the sequel is about 90% unfunny. Since the first Unit is such a disaster, I guess the second one is technically better by default, but let's be real, neither of them is actually good. I genuinely don't get what people find hilarious about this stuff. At all.

Okay, but why was the first one even watched? A movie with a title like that is usually garbage from the jump.

I honestly think these concepts have potential as movie ideas in a vacuum, but the execution is a different story. I’ve seen the first one, and I sat through the second one too, though let's be real—the sequel is just a pale, washed-out imitation of the original, and even the first film isn't exactly a cinematic masterpiece. To me, the whole thing feels like it was written specifically to appeal to a sixteen-year-old's sense of humor, which isn't an insult, per se, but it definitely sets a limit on how much I can enjoy it. I also just can't get behind the specific brand of comedy they're pushing here; there's this constant reliance on crude, low-brow vulgarity that is supposed to be the punchline, but it usually just leaves me feeling a bit bored.

Whether it’s guys or girls who feel like they're still sixteen, isn't that just part of being human?👍

To me, the sequel feels like a carbon copy of the first one. The original brought something entirely new to the table—a style we hadn't seen before—but this second installment? Well, you can still get a good laugh out of it.

SPOILER:

When they dock the speedboat and Alan drops the anchor, that’s easily the best part. I honestly thought I was going to die laughing during that scene.

I was hanging out with some friends and we were honestly dying laughing: it felt like we were all sixteen again. One of the absolute best parts has to be that scene where the guy and girl talk about how they both finished at the exact same time🤣

For me, the absolute highlight was definitely that scene where you see the monkey handing out 🤣

I absolutely loved the first movie. I’ve probably watched it ten times, and honestly, I die laughing every single time. Some of those scenes are just legendary. In my opinion, it stands out as one of the best comedies 😁 I've ever seen. I went into the sequel feeling totally hyped up, but man, was I disappointed. It felt like they just recycled the same old jokes, but nothing actually landed for me—except maybe that bit at the end where they jump onto the boat 😂. I guess the first one is just superior, though that seems to be the rule with sequels—they almost always go downhill from there.

Me... hmm... I thought the first one was actually pretty good... the second was bad... hmm...

But here's the question: have you ever experienced a total blackout? Like, that massive gap in your memory from being drunk—say, an eight-hour stretch where you suddenly realize you're wearing different clothes or you've somehow ended up in a different state?

The only reason this movie works at all is because of Mr. Chow. 😂 Sure, there are some funny moments scattered throughout, but he’s really the one "carrying the energy" for the entire film. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SvzTfdceOiQ 😍

I actually found the first part quite enjoyable—in fact, I watched it twice, which is a massive win considering how hard it’s been for me to sit through comedies lately. It feels like they haven't been very good for years now.
As for the sequel, I wasn't exactly expecting much, but it still managed to fall even shorter than my lowest expectations.
It’s a bit of a shame I decided to catch this one at the local AMC instead of just waiting for it to hit streaming; I really regret spending the money on a theater ticket for this one...

Honestly, the second one blows the first Unit out of the water, even if you have to respect the original 😁... I am seriously counting down the days until the third installment drops 🙂

Look, I’m not saying the sequel is a complete disaster, but let's be real—it just can't touch the first one. It’s mostly because the original felt so fresh, whereas the second one was… well, pretty predictable. That whole montage during the credits in the first movie? Absolute genius. In the sequel? Not so much.

Honestly, the first movie was one of the few comedies I actually enjoyed—and I usually can't stand the genre. What I loved about it was how they didn't feel the need to force a joke into every single frame at the expense of the actual story, which is what most comedies do. The sequel follows that same logic, though.
Bottom line: I'd give the first one a solid 8.5/10, but the sequel is sitting at a weak 5.5/10 for me.

The sequel was such a letdown. Honestly, I didn't crack a smile once. Unit is definitely the better movie, even if it drags in certain spots.

God, what a total mess 🤦
SPOILER ALERT!!!
It feels like we've seen most of this before, right? Like that classic trope where someone wakes up in a trashed hotel room after a wild night of partying (total > vibes), or that cliché about a trained monkey being used for criminal stuff... 🙄
And honestly, some of these scenes are just too much. I mean, seriously, how are you even supposed to laugh when you see a severed penis on screen??

What a total disaster... honestly, the only decent part was Mr. Chow. I mean, why even cast Paul Giamatti? It was just two hours of my life I'll never get back.

Honestly, I think this movie is a total blast. Both parts are just as good as the first one.
I was laughing my head off; that kind of humor just hits right for me. On the flip side, I’ve seen a few people on this forum claiming that The Big Lebowski (along with a couple of other overrated flicks) are the most epic movies Ever !!! 1, so I was sitting there recently thinking: Okay, but when does the actual funny part start?!

So yeah, to each their own... personally, I say let them tear them all apart and just make a new one in a different country every single year. 😍

The first part was absolute gold, though the second one definitely felt like a letdown, but honestly, just seeing the whole gang back together on screen again was such a vibe 😁

So, someone decided to cash in right after their first hit was a smash, and what did we get? A total dud. Honestly, the only redeeming moment is when that idiot drops the anchor after speeding his boat straight into the wedding party.
