See, thatโ€™s exactly what I found entertaining, for instance.

No, you just don't get him, Daniel Kelly57. Itโ€™s all too predictable for him because heโ€™s just way too smart... a total Mensa boy...
He basically sees the future and calls it a day. He's like a modern-day fortune teller...
It's honestly like someone going to see Superman and complaining that it was "predictable." Seriously? What were you actually expecting? That the plane would somehow slip right out of his hands, or maybe that he might actually die at the end?...
Like I said before, I really want to know what people find funny when they aren't laughing at a guy like Zach Galifianakis. To me, the man is a genuine breath of fresh air in the comedy world, and such an incredible actor. Truly exceptional. Heโ€™s just a complete free spirit and a total joker...

I don't get why some people aren't feeling this kind of humor. That's fine, but I don't understand how anyone could expect something totally fresh or groundbreaking from this movie. Anyone who loved the first one was basically expecting this exact sequel. Itโ€™s the same vibe in a different setting, just with another character getting married. If I'm not mistaken, there's still one single guy left, so maybe we can look forward to another installment down the road. ๐Ÿ™‚

Maybe what bothers people is that exact lack of effort. Look, if you're making a sequel, try to be creativeโ€”that's literally the job. You shouldn't just settle for "the same thing, just somewhere else." If a studio practically films the exact same movie twice, people have every right to be disappointed. For me, formulaic plots never really land as funny.

I'm speaking generally here since I haven't actually sat down to watch the second one yet, and honestly, I probably won't, given that the style and quality of humor in the first film wasn't really my cup of tea.

Honestly, if you didn't dig the first one, there's zero point in watching the sequel. This movie is a total formula, plain and simple. Itโ€™s just the same ninety-minute bit played out all over again. The only reason it works is because the cast is so damn goodโ€”I could watch them go on another round of madness forever. I actually caught myself laughing at Kung Fu Panda the other day just because a character's voice sounded so much like someone from this flick. But look, I get it. Not everyone is into this kind of humor, and if the first movie wasn't your thing, skip the second one.

The first one was actually pretty solid, super funny and such a blast... but man, the second one just didn't hit the mark at all. Honestly, I wouldn't have even sat through the whole thing if Bradley wasn't in it... it felt way too predictable and just wasn't nearly as hilarious as the original... ๐Ÿ‘Ž

Some people on this forum calling themselves "cinephiles" are kidding themselves. You aren't some big-shot film expert just because you've watched Casablanca a dozen times, memorized every line, and binged every Kurosawa flick, only to refuse to watch anything new because it's "trash." You actually have to watch everything before you get to play judge and jury on whether something sucks or not.

Comparing The Hangover Part II to Bruno is a joke; Bruno is just total garbage that has nothing to do with this. If you think the acting is bad, fine, say that. But Bradley Cooper and Zach Galifianakis are easily two of the best young actors in the world right now. Honestly, some of you are just talking shit for the sake of it.

Let's be real: the movie isn't better than the first one. That's just a fact. It has killer jokes, thoughโ€”the crowd in the theater was practically screaming after certain scenes, and it wasn't just a bunch of obnoxious teenagers either. People claim the script is too similar? Please. What did you expect, for the plot to pivot into some sci-fi thriller where aliens invade America? We knew exactly what we were getting into. And thatโ€™s actually why the movie works; the original was great, the sequel is very good, and there's no way they could screw up this specific formula. I didn't regret watching it for a single second, and I should probably mention the soundtrack is awesome, too.

If I were giving advice, I'd tell you: don't bother reading these threads until you've seen the movie yourself. Based on what people are typing here, you'd think it was absolute trash, which it definitely isn't.

Later,

๐Ÿ™ Signature, word for word.

I'm hunting for a specific song title. As far as I can recall, it wasn't actually featured in the movie itself, but maybe during the opening credits or something similar. It definitely has a connection to The Hangover Part II, but I haven't been able to track it down anywhere online under the official soundtrack list. ๐Ÿ˜ข
Anyway, it was some kind of hip-hop track with incredibly catchy lyrics and a solid melody. Unfortunately, my memory is failing me on the actual lines. Hahaha. ๐Ÿ˜

Looking for a song that might not have been in the film, even if it's a total banger? ๐Ÿคฆ
Every song with lyrics is included on the official soundtrackโ€”even the ones involving Tyson.

I really have a soft spot for these forum movie critics. ๐Ÿ™„

If I didn't stop by here first before heading to the theater, I honestly think I'd never watch a single movie. Is there anything at all that doesn't get absolutely torn apart?

Man, if you're going to see this movie, you should go expecting laughs, some absurdity, total nonsense, and pure entertainment. Personally, I was dying laughing. Honestly, the whole theater was. I guess we're all just a little bit crazy, aren't we? ๐Ÿ˜•

The movie was damn goodโ€”honestly, maybe even better than the first one. I suppose it might be mostly due to the cast.

Look, there is absolutely no point in arguing about subjective taste because, quite frankly, one person might find a movie to be an absolute riot while someone else finds it completely incomprehensible. Personally, I thought The Hangover Part II was fantastic, and if believing that means I lack the ability to distinguish a masterpiece from a disaster, then so be it. At the end of the day, I am perfectly capable of deciding for myself whether a film actually worked or not.

Honestly, Rutinski and his crew really nailed it here. This sequel takes some of those genuinely hilarious and inspired ideas from the first Hangover and runs with them perfectly. Itโ€™s a solid follow-up.

Honestly, the writers didn't even bother explaining some of the most crucial plot points within the movie itselfโ€”like how Teddy lost his finger or how Alan ended up with that perm. Instead, they just toss those explanations into some slides during the end credits. To be fair, those slides might actually be the best part of the whole movie. If you're someone who can stomach watching a slightly off-brand version of the first film, Iโ€™d honestly recommend sticking around in your seat for a few extra minutes at the end.

It feels like the whole reason they made this sequel was just to rip off the first one, which really shows a total lack of inspiration. Honestly, everything about it feels like a step down from the original. For instance, that scene where the monkey first pops up? It doesn't even come close to the tiger discovery in the bathroom.

On a different note, some of the ways the writers decided to push things "further" than they did in the first movie just feel forced and over the top. For instance, the woman Stu is getting all worked up about this time seems incredibly washed up compared to the one from Las Vegas. Even the whole buildup regarding Stu discovering his "wild side"โ€”I won't spoil too much hereโ€”really crosses the line from being believable into that awkward territory of shock value just for the sake of shocking the audience.

In short:

If you haven't seen the first one, don't even bother with the second. Itโ€™s just pointless.

If you actually enjoyed the first movie, my advice is to just leave those good memories alone. Thereโ€™s no need to go and ruin them by watching the sequel.

Since some people didn't really dig the first one, I probably don't need to give them a formal response to this either. ๐Ÿ˜

All I remember from the start is Kanye with "Stronger" and "Monster." Clearly, it's not one of those.๐Ÿ˜‰

The movie is solid. It might not hit quite as hard as the first one, but there are some top-tier jokes in here. Iโ€™d recommend it to anyone just looking to have a good time. And don't fall for those "intellectual" posts claiming the film is bad just because everything feels copied. That doesn't make it a bad movie at all.

I don't want to be a hater, but I just hit the last 20 minutes of this movie and I honestly couldn't care less how it wraps up. If I actually bother to sit through the ending, is it going to be any good? ๐Ÿคท

The first installment was hyped up so much. Everyone claimed they were dying of laughter while watching it, so I finally gave in and watched it too. I wasn't exactly blown away... it was a comedy, sure, but nothing special.
I highly doubt the sequel will be any better...โ˜•

I guess the only parts that were actually funny in this movie were the monkey and the ending bits๐Ÿ˜

A lot of people claim they liked the second one better than the first, but honestly, Iโ€™m not feeling it.
I laughed way harder at the first movie. The sequel isn't terrible, it just feels pretty predictable because you already know exactly how they're going to play the same old tricks from the original.๐Ÿคท
