I feel like—and I’m asking this while being a little worked up because I’m always the one right here whenever someone needs a hand, not to mention all those exhaustive posts I wrote after surgery just to help people who were feeling as lost as I once was—that nobody is even capable of giving me an answer. Honestly, I think you guys are being pretty unfair.👎

legend !!! 😍😍😍😍
That's exactly how it should be! Shame on us!!

I am attempting to massage the area, but even the slightest touch causes intense pain. I am at a total loss. This past month has been an absolute nightmare. To be honest, I don't think he realized this wasn't what I envisioned for my new nose (even though he knows), and I certainly didn't pay for this mess he created. I feel utterly disfigured. Honestly, he'll likely just dodge responsibility because he doesn't want the extra expense or the bad press, so I doubt he'll ever say, "I'm sorry, I could have done better, and I'll fix it on my own dime." I am mentally sinking under the weight of this. I will definitely file for a formal review if it stays like this, but the tragedy is having to wait an entire year for that process. Until then, I am stuck looking at this disaster. I am praying to God for mercy.

I am dealing with the exact same issues as you both 😢. It has been nearly eight months since my surgery, and there hasn't been any improvement at all 🙂.

Wait, even after eight months? Who performed your surgery, and what was their explanation regarding your nose? Mine was borić.

I’ve finally made up my mind about getting nose surgery... and honestly, the one thing that kept messing with my head was just—who do I even trust to do it?
But now that I'm scrolling through this forum... 🙂

It’s been three months for me now. I just had my follow-up, and the doctor said he won't operate again—he claims it's just tissue, not bone or cartilage. Honestly, I don't know. It feels hard.
The thing is, I can't even tell if I actually had this before (this tissue or whatever it is) because my entire nose looks different now—it's likely always been there, it's just more noticeable since my nasal bridge is much narrower now. Regardless, the bump is there and it isn't going anywhere. 😢
It only shows up from one angle (just the right side profile). A straight profile looks fine, front view is okay, left profile is okay. But the right side? Total mess. 🤣
Mainly, I don't think I'm going back under the knife. This surgery was already pretty brutal given how wide my bridge was compared to such a narrow base; plus, it's totally asymmetrical (it was and still is) and I had a deviated septum. I'm not going to keep messing with it, so whatever happens, happens...
So, what about the rest of you dealing with bumps—are you considering a revision if it stays like this?

I mean, I’d love to—but after doing a bit of digging, it looks like I actually need a rhinoplasty. Now, does anyone have any idea what the damage is going to be financially, or better yet, who I should actually see?

How does the whole hospital situation work over here? And, I guess... what are we looking at in terms of costs?

Around $1,600. As for who, that's on you to decide, but I'll probably go with Ostojić.👍

My doctor hasn't shown even a shred of understanding that this was his mistake. Based on how he reacted to my concerns, there is zero chance he'll admit fault. The bump is incredibly obvious, but of course, he refuses to see it. "It's only half a millimeter," he claims. It isn't half a millimeter; it's at least two. And what, should it be centimeters? We went under the knife specifically for those millimeters. 🙄 Honestly, I'm not holding out hope that he'll admit he messed up or even "see" the issue. Maybe in a year or so I'll seek a second opinion—if they can grow an ear on a mouse, surely they can fix this damn bump for us!

And if things just stay the way they are, we can always scare the neighborhood kids—honestly, all their cartoons and stories these days are just nauseatingly pink. A little Boogeyman here and there would actually bring some much-needed balance back to everything... 😱

Which doctor was actually a master?😲

So, from what I can tell, everyone is pretty split on this. It’s making the choice of a surgeon way harder than it needs to be. Some people are backing Glumičić, others are leaning toward Ostojić, or maybe borić...
I’ve been mulling over a minor procedure for years now. Breathing isn't really an issue—it's not like it's huge—but since it's slightly crooked right in the middle, I feel like it messes with my facial aesthetics.
I wouldn't go for anything drastic, and I definitely wouldn't touch the bridge. Speaking of which, looking at those Hollywood starlets, I don't think their look would ever work for me. It just looks too fake. Symmetry is hard enough to nail, so I’m staying far away from that...
Blanka's nose looks fantastic, though. Glumičić really nailed it in this case. It looks perfect and actually suits her face. Although... I suspect it was more than just a tiny tweak. We aren't talking minimal changes here; it was a total transformation. Kudos to Glumičić and Blanka.
The real question is, where should I actually go? From what I gathered, rustygull7 went to him and seems happy with the results. Right?
Who do you guys think is the best when it comes to those minimal corrections?
Help. I'll make the final call myself.

I wouldn't go overboard, and I definitely wouldn't touch my nostrils. Speaking of nostrils, looking at those celebrity faces we see on TV, I know I could never pull that off. It looks way too fake to me. Getting them symmetrical is hard enough, so I'm staying away from that...

"Minimal" or whatever doesn't matter once you're under the knife. For me, it's a minor thing, so I'm worried because if they mess up, what's the point? It's on you to choose the surgeon. If you aren't happy with the result, it's your own fault. Think long and hard first.😉

So, I’ve finally decided to go through with nose surgery... I actually went in for a consultation with Dr. Miller today. Does anyone here have experience working with him?? Actually, wait, that’s not even what I’m really trying to ask. What I’m actually freaking out about is the aftermath. I’m terrified that once everything heals, my nose is going to look totally fake—like one of those overdone, plastic looks you see on reality TV stars from *The Real Housewives*. That is definitely NOT the vibe I'm going for. What do you guys think?? Is it possible to get that "operated on" look?

My real fear is ending up looking fake—like I have one of those obviously plastic noses you see on reality TV stars. That is the last thing I want. What do you guys think?

Look, if you aren't happy with yours, then go for something more artistic. Most of them look fake to me anyway—take Peggy, Severiano, or Joe, for example. Still, I think things look better now than they used to, which is why I'm down for the surgery too.🙏

I really don't want that. What do you guys think?

You really need to hash that out with him directly. Be incredibly specific about exactly what you want and how you want it (and then hope he actually respects those boundaries). My results were great in that regard. Mind you, I still have a little bump right in the middle😂—but hey, if that’s just something that settles down over the next few months or was just a minor slip-up, whatever... my nose doesn't look artificial at all. It all comes down to how much work is actually required. For instance, they had to shave down a massive amount of bone on the upper half, but I insisted on keeping my original base. And—just as a precaution—I told them I didn't want an extreme lift, just something slightly higher than what I started with. So, he definitely listened to my wishes there (though clearly, I should have mentioned I didn't want a brand-new bump in the middle 🙄). But anyway.

My advice for that specific fear? If you're really worried about looking "fake," aim for a more subtle change. Don't try to overhaul everything 100%. Go for something discreet; that way, if you decide a year from now that you wanted a bit more or a bit less, you can always go back for a touch-up later. That's much better than overdoing it upfront, because there's no undo button.

Greetings,
well, here I am, just another person who is completely fed up with the shape of my own nose.
steelangler88, please, tell me how long your recovery actually took—I mean, how much time passed before you could finally step out of the house looking like yourself again, without all those surgical swellings and bruises hanging around?

😍Exactly. That’s why we went out looking like a mess. If we aren't going to be monsters, at least let us be the local eyesore that kids can laugh at.😉
