Hey, sorry to bug you, but did you just get cosmetic work done? And how long did you have those nasal tampons in?🙂

Hey, sorry to bug you. I was just wondering—did you only get cosmetic work done, and how long did you actually have to keep that tampon stuffed up in your nose?🙂

Look, you aren't being a nuisance at all. Seriously. If you have any questions whatsoever, just go ahead and ask. I mean, really, don't hold back. 😍
If it had just been for the aesthetics, I probably would've been fine, but I actually thought I had a deviated septum since I broke my nose a few years back. My doctor told me everything looks totally normal—no deviation or anything—but honestly, breathing feels so much easier now than it did before the surgery. I had to deal with those nasal tampons for three days, which sounds like a nightmare, but they weren't actually that terrible. The only real struggle was at night because I kept waking up every single hour, but I guess you can definitely power through three days of that.

Thanks a lot, but I've gotta ask—I heard some rumor that over at the Ostojić clinic, they claim tampons only last 24 hours, like you're supposed to just swap them out every single day. Is that actually true?🙏

Well, I guess it really just comes down to individual preference. It’s all subjective, really—it's up to the doctor to make that call and decide what works best for each patient.

I'm 17 years old and I was wondering how much ear surgery would cost me. I heard a rumor that it's free for minors.

My apologies, I misspoke in my previous post. I meant to say:
I’m 13 years old and I was wondering how much ear surgery would cost me. I heard somewhere that it might be free for minors. Is there any truth to that???
Please let me know as soon as possible. Thanks in advance.

So, I've been scrolling through all your posts, and since I'm actually starting to seriously consider getting a nose job myself, I was wondering what you guys think about this YouTube clip

Cheers!

Best regards!

To be honest, I'm feeling a little discouraged. I’m looking into getting a nose job myself, and my nose is actually quite similar to the one in the video, but I just can't stand that end result—where the tip sticks out like that while the bridge stays huge. That’s exactly why I’m so nervous about the surgery. What if, in the end, I actually end up liking my natural nose more than the one they give me??😕

Help! It’s been 15 days since my surgery and the stitches are still poking out from my nose. They feel quite stiff, too. When will they finally start falling out??????????????????????????????????????????? ???????

I just had an appointment with Dr. Klapan,,,,,,,, $100,,,,, three words.
The most expensive $100 three minutes of my entire life. 😠
Now I’m left wondering what to make of him. Is he just a brilliant doctor who can see everything the second
he lays eyes on you—meaning he truly knows his craft—or is he just too arrogant to actually
give a patient at least 15 minutes of attention and answer a few basic questions?
At the end of the day, we're talking about facial surgery here.

Here is how those three minutes went: "HELLO." Then, "You need a rhinoplasty and a septoplasty."
To get a computer simulation done, I have to pay $0.50, and until she finishes that, he won't even
tell me the price. 🤷 And oh yeah, no matter how much it costs, it’s cash only 😲, no credit cards allowed.

SO LONG.

Maybe it is better to do the computer simulation just to see the final result.
But having to order it, pay $0.50, and only then start negotiating the actual price,,,,,,,,,,,, brrrrrr,,,,, and strictly cash,,,,,,,,,, grrrrrrrr.

Nasal Polyps: How, where, and all those other nagging questions

I’ve been dealing with this constant battle against chronic sinus inflammation and a totally stuffed-up nose since I was a kid—not even talking about a runny nose, just that heavy, "completely blocked" feeling that won't quit. Lately, I’ve been using one of those nasal spray bottles with the little plunger right before bed, which helps clear things out for a few hours, but I can't help but wonder if using that stuff all the time is going to end up irritating my nasal lining...

I haven't had any injuries or anything, so I don't think it's a deviated septum, which makes me lean towards polyps based on everything I've been reading online lately

I'm really curious about how much an operation would actually help and if there's anything else major I should be thinking about (since I probably forgot to ask a dozen things already🙂 )

My doctor didn't even bother pulling them out; they just started dropping off on their own about a month and a half after the procedure. The very last one didn't budge until two months post-op, and man, those things were holding on for dear life.

Just take it easy. Honestly, I'm at the exact same point post-op and I've still got stitches too. A few of mine have dropped off already, but I definitely still have some left. Just whatever you do, don't go pulling at them yourself. It's probably better if they just fall out on their own.

cosmicjackal10 said:So, I finally went in for that checkup with Dr. Klapan... $100...for three words.
The most expensive. $100 Three minutes. That’s all it took to change my entire life. 😠
So, what am I supposed to make of him now? Is he actually just some genius doctor who can see right through everything, or... I don't know, maybe I'm just overthinking it.
I mean, look at him... he clearly knows his stuff inside and out. But then again, I guess he might be just a little too arrogant to actually sit down and listen to a patient.
He actually spared at least fifteen minutes to pay attention and answer some decent questions for once.
At the end of the day, we’re still talking about a person here.

Here’s those three minutes I promised you. Good afternoon. Looks like it's time to get that deviated septum and rhinoplasty taken care of.
Can you run a computer simulation for me? I really need to get this submitted. $0.50I mean, until they actually get around to making her, right? Not really happening.
Can you give me a price? 🤷 And yeah, honestly? No matter what the price tag looks like, if you pay cash, it’s totally worth it.😲 Nothing on the cards.

See ya later.

Maybe it’d actually be better to just run a computer simulation or something, you know? Just to see how the whole thing plays out in the end.
Well, alright then, just go ahead and make her happen—just give it to her. $0.50And then you still have to haggle over the price... man. Brrrrr. And it's cash only? Seriously? Grrrrrrr.

If you ask me, paying for those computer simulations is basically just throwing money down the drain. It’s definitely not some ironclad guarantee that your nose is actually going to look like the digital version once the surgery is done. Honestly, I'd suggest looking into other surgeons before committing to anything. And frankly, any decent doctor should be able to give you a clear quote right off the bat—I mean, they should know exactly what they charge for rhinoplasty and septoplasty. If you aren't feeling totally comfortable with this particular surgeon, my best advice is to just go find someone else.

Thanks, Gregory Doyle34. Please, tell me roughly how long it took for your nose to reach some kind of normalcy??? For me, the hump in the middle is gone, but the muscle under my lip was cut, everything feels tight, and it actually hurts a little. My whole nose looks bizarre, with this protrusion at the base of the cartilage near the nostrils that wasn't there before. It honestly looks like too much was scooped out from the center, making that part stick out too far. Anyway, I didn't notice anything until the cast—the strip—was removed a few days later. Now, things look worse than before; it's like my nose is twice as thick. Worst of all, it isn't soft to the touch, so I can't even comfort myself thinking it's just swelling. I don't even know if bone can swell. If it stays like this, I'll have to try to thin it out and flatten it.😠 😢I hate my whole face right now. My follow-up appointment isn't for another 15 days, so if anyone has words to calm me down or explain what is happening to my nose—which is driving me absolutely insane—please, please, please...

Those stitches should just fall out on their own; please don't mess with them. I had one that was sticking out of my nose too, and I kept trying to push it back in. I think mine finally came out around the 20-day mark. It actually took me a full two months before all the stitches were gone—I basically just blew them out.

Amanda Ramirez42 said:Thanks, Gregory Doyle34. Could you tell me roughly how long it took for your nose to settle down into something looking actually normal? Right now, my situation feels pretty rough. They corrected my hump in the middle, but they also cut the muscle under my lip area, and everything just feels incredibly tight—it’s actually a bit painful. On top of that, my whole nose looks bizarre; there's this weird protrusion at the base of the cartilage near my nostrils that definitely wasn't there before the surgery. To be honest, it looks like they dug out too much from the center, making that part stick out way too far. Anyway, I didn't even notice anything was off until they removed the splint a few days later. Now, it honestly looks worse than it did before the procedure—like my nose is twice as thick as it used to be. The worst part is that it doesn't feel soft to the touch, so I can't even comfort myself by thinking it's just swelling. I don't even know if bone is supposed to swell like this. If it stays this way, I'm going to have to look into thinning it out and leveling it back down.😠😢 I am absolutely losing my mind over my face right now. I’ve got a follow-up appointment in two weeks, but the wait is killing me. If anyone has some kind of words of wisdom to calm my nerves—or if you can actually explain what on earth is happening with my nose that’s driving me this insane—please, please, please help me out.

Raymond Wells2, look, it’s only been 15 days. It is completely normal for your nose to be swollen at this stage. For me, it took about two months before the swelling really started to subside. I still have a little bit of puffiness right at the tip, though.
Patience, patience...

Don't get worked up about how you look right now; you just have to accept that this is part of the process. Personally, after they took my casts off, the right side of my nose was way more swollen than the left—and that lasted for a solid month. Then, suddenly, the tip on the left side would be more swollen than the right. It’s all a mess for a while, but trust me, it settles down. That's why mine looks great now.

Don't sweat it; everything will be settled soon enough.
