Yeah, honestly, he was just the most convenient option for me. Plus, since I’d already seen him for my breast augmentation, I was already sold on his whole approach and the way he talks... you know that feeling when you realize you can actually trust someone? Anyway, I don't regret spending that money at all because he went above and beyond what was originally planned... so, how much did you end up paying?

Is Scott Carter23 likely just handling the operation, or is he managing the accommodations too?

Man, you're totally right. I mean, honestly, if you’re happy with how things turned out, then who cares about the cash? It's not like anyone's actually losing money if the result is solid... what's the point of trying to scrape together a few extra bucks if the job ends up being a total disaster? $0.00I ended up dropping 12

The lodging is included in the cost, but honestly, it’s just one night before heading home the next morning. I assume the price fluctuates depending on which specialist you see, though I have no clue what their specific criteria are... probably just how complicated the procedure turns out to be. Anyway, how are you finding your brace so far?

For those of you who have gone through nasal surgery—do any of you have kids at home? I’ve got a two-year-old girl who is basically a whirlwind of energy and constant cuddles. How on earth am I supposed to keep her from accidentally clocking me in the face during a hug once I'm recovering? :-)

I don’t have kids, but if I were you, I’d watch your step so you don't accidentally take a hit from them. Honestly, I managed to bruise myself just yesterday while trying to pull on a shirt... and man, that pain... that's what you really have to guard against, especially during those first few weeks...

Honestly, I was pretty bummed out at first because things looked... well, weird. Like, way too wide and sitting way too high—kind of giving off major Miss Piggy vibes, if you know what I mean? But hey, it’s been three weeks since the surgery and things are finally starting to settle down. It’s looking okay now, and honestly, it should keep getting better🙂

And yeah, dealing with kids is such a hassle right now. You seriously have to watch every single move just to make sure nobody accidentally lands a punch or a stray elbow on you...

I suppose everyone feels pretty rough at first because of the swelling—it’s still a major surgery, after all. I’m glad to hear you’re starting to turn a corner; you’ll see, everything will eventually settle down and be just fine😉. It probably varies from person to person, too. For me, two weeks have passed and while the swelling hasn't fully gone down, it isn't overwhelming... though it’s still painful to the touch, which is perfectly normal... but things are looking up. My initial recovery was definitely the hardest part... wasn't it? 🙂

I have a few quick things on my mind...

1. I’ve been dealing with some really strange breathing issues through my nose lately—to put it simply, it feels like there are these little bubbles inside my nasal passages blocking the airflow, especially when I'm trying to sleep, which forces me to breathe through my mouth instead. Does anyone know what might be causing that?
(Just a side note, I'm actually scheduled to have my tonsils removed soon, so could that possibly be related?)

2. On top of that, I'm not exactly thrilled with the look of my nose, and I feel like it throws off my whole facial balance... if I decide to go through with a rhinoplasty, do you think I can find a skilled cosmetic surgeon right here in the Midwest, or should I plan a trip to Washington, D.C. or somewhere similar for better results?
I won't bother asking about the costs since it looks like they hover around $2,200 🙂

p.s. regarding that first question, I did mention it to both my primary doctor and my ENT specialist, and while they both hinted at something being called polyps, they didn't give me any real specifics.

cheers!

I’ve got nose surgery scheduled for this January at Holy Spirit with Dr. Audrey.
Breathing through my nose has been a real struggle ever since I took a basketball straight to the face.
It’s most likely a deviated septum, given how much trouble I've had breathing since the incident.

Has anyone here had any experience with Dr. Audrey? Would love to hear some feedback.

Could someone please recommend a decent surgeon? I’m just looking to get some work done on the tip of my nose—specifically, to have them trim away some excess cartilage, I suppose.

So, what’s the verdict on Dr. Kincl?

Laura Castillo7 said:Has anyone else here dealt with burst capillaries on their nose, and did you end up stuck with permanent redness or some kind of lasting mark?

It’s like nobody has even brought up broken capillaries before, which honestly made me feel like I was the only one dealing with this... they aren't super obvious, just right at the bridge of my nose, and I kept holding out hope they'd just fade away on their own, but clearly, if they haven't cleared up after a couple of years, they probably aren't going anywhere. 😁

So, you're dealing with them too? 🙂

Hey everyone, I can't speak to your experience with those broken capillaries, but I know a girl who deals with them on her nose. From what I understand, laser treatments can clear them right up. You should probably run it by a doctor first... 🙂

Listen, Daniel Howard11, regarding finding a decent surgeon, I think they definitely exist. From my own experience, I can tell you I was incredibly satisfied with Dr. Zelda, but she’s based out in Atlantic City. Since you're likely from Washington, D.C. 🙂, you should be able to find a top-tier surgeon there as well. Have you looked into Tony's work? I've heard quite a bit of good things about him, but beyond that, I can't really offer much more help 😢

Carol Lopez28 said:Hey everyone, look, I don't know much about those broken capillaries you're dealing with, but I noticed one girl I know has a few tiny red spots on her nose, and from what I gather, they can be cleared up pretty easily with laser treatment. Honestly, though, your best bet is to just go talk to a doctor and see what they say. 🙂

I don't really mind them, honestly—I just throw some concealer over the top and call it a day, plus they aren't even that noticeable anyway. But man, it’s such a relief to hear I’m not the only one dealing with this... I've got a feeling they might be made of some kind of cheap plaster that's been rubbing me the wrong way.

Well, alright then. I’m glad they aren't too noticeable. Honestly, thank God someone invented concealer, haha. I used to rely on it constantly just to mask my dark circles... though those have finally cleared up. It could be a few things—maybe you were just feeling under the weather, or perhaps you just have sensitive skin... As long as it isn't looking too bad, 🙂........., how are you feeling about the results so far?...

Hey everyone! Has anyone here actually had surgery with Dr. Miller? I went under the knife about two months ago, but my nose still looks totally uneven. He keeps telling me it just needs more time to swell down, but honestly? I’m terrified it’s never going to look right...

Hey there. I don't know anything about him, unfortunately, but maybe someone else here will have some insight... As for why you think it isn't symmetrical—are you saying it looks slightly slanted from the front? I’m really hoping things smooth out for you soon. Fingers crossed...😉It’s been 19 days since my surgery. There’s still a bit of swelling, but it's mostly flat, so I can't really tell you much...:/
