I've heard about both of them 😁 but I'm totally in the dark on how they actually operate 🙂

Those bumps really shouldn't be visible; I mean, you might feel some slight unevenness if you touch things, kind of like how I have a tiny bit near the base of my nose, but it’s not noticeable and it doesn't bother me at all. For me, the main goal was just being able to breathe normally again and stopping those constant nosebleeds that I couldn't seem to get under control, so if you're looking to get a bump removed, that should be the priority... honestly, your best bet is to sit down and have a real, deep conversation with them so they can walk you through exactly what the options are.

Jesse Taylor7 look, I get it, the fear is always going to be there, and I was actually watching this documentary the night before I headed to the hospital about people who are under anesthesia but can still feel pain, which didn't help matters one bit 😁
for me, the biggest "trauma" was just having to stay in the hospital for a few days, because I absolutely loathe hospitals and those uncomfortable hospital beds.

Laura Castillo7 mentioned that at Glumicic, the price is 1,800 dollars. As for Borica, I haven't checked myself, but word on the street is they’re top-tier.

I was just looking into things, and it turns out Glumičić is actually working alongside Dr. Ivo Džepina, which is wild because I had absolutely no clue there was another Dr. Džepina out there 😁

I’ve heard similar things about it being a solid option—but without any actual photos to look at, I’m essentially flying blind regarding the results. For those of you who have actually been to Santa Barbara, could you tell me if the doctor typically shows photos of their previous work during the initial consultation? And is that something you have to specifically ask for, or does it just happen naturally?

How did I even end up getting sucked into all this 😁

They really ought to be showing off some photos; I honestly don't get why he doesn't just host them on his own website, you know? It would be helpful to see at least a few shots just to get a decent sense of his overall style and how he operates
Have you actually gone in for a consultation with someone yet?

He didn't show me anything, though I didn't exactly ask. It’s pointless anyway; everyone ends up with a different result, and there's no such thing as a one-size-fits-all look. I just stood there in front of the mirror, letting him show me what needed fixing, while he sort of mimicked holding the nose job in place with his fingers... just so I could see how the profile might actually turn out.😉

If you had actually asked him, I’m pretty sure he would have shown you, but honestly, it’s way more effective when he just takes the lead and shows you exactly what he’s planning to do and what kind of result you can expect 😁

Listen, ladies, I have to head out. I want to wish everyone a fantastic night... and for those of you who, like me, are currently recovering from surgery, please take care of yourselves and watch out for any potential injuries🙂. Honestly, just thinking about all the people I’ll have to congratulate and hug... I’m actually worried they might break me... hmm... maybe I should just wear some padding... heh, heh...🙂🙂🙂GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE!!! BYE BYE

I’ve had consultations with two different surgeons. One was with Glumicic, and the other was with Džepina. To be perfectly honest, my nose looks better than the one done by the surgeon at Džepina's office, but can we really judge a doctor based on a single nose? Of course not; every procedure is unique. Ultimately, I decided to go with Glumicic because his specialization is facial reconstruction, whereas Džepina seems more focused on breast augmentations and other body work. Brenda Reed3, were you actually a patient of Ivo Džepina? You know, he has his photo posted right there on Glumicic's website:-9

They really ought to display some portfolio shots—it makes zero sense why he doesn't have them on his own website. At the very least, there should be a few samples so you can get a general sense of his aesthetic style.
Have you actually sat down for a consultation with someone yet?

I’m heading into my first round of consultations now with specialists like Maletić and Boriću-nisam—and potentially someone else, though I haven't decided who since everyone seems to be dodging blame for something... Who would you recommend in the NYC area? Maybe Glumičić?

thanks, right back at you and everyone else—wishing you all nothing but the best😁

man, whatever, I basically went and tackled myself; we’ve got one of those heavy metal light fixtures at home and I just slammed my face right into it, though luckily I had some drywall to cushion the blow🤣 I saw stars, for real

I'm with you on that, I was actually thinking about suggesting Džepina, even if it's just my own subjective take, since Glumičić goes for that really textured, rugged style while I personally lean towards something smoother and more even, but honestly, at the end of the day, it's all about individual taste and making your own call so nobody can point fingers later😁

aha, Ivo was definitely messing with me😁
saw the photo😍

If you take a look at the before-and-after gallery on Glumicic's website, you'll notice that not every nose ends up looking stubby. There are some truly stunning results in there. Then again, most celebrities seem to have that slightly lifted tip. He told me that the final call rests entirely with me, though he did point out that you can never guarantee a result will be an exact, 100% match to what was discussed. I actually get where they're coming from on that. When you go under the knife (ugh!), you have to realize that every surgeon is working within certain anatomical limits. They don't have infinite creative freedom; they just try to get as close to the target as the biology allows.

I went back to check out the 😁 results again... honestly, that lady with the earrings has the most symmetrical ones. They’re actually really pretty—way better than the old photos, for sure—but they have this very distinct tip to them. Maybe I’m just hyper-fixating because I spent so much time staring at my own reflection while prepping for my surgery 🤣

At the end of the day, it doesn't matter if someone promises you the moon and stars; what actually matters is that the reality of the situation lines up with what you were told 🙂

Maria Diaz79 said:Brenda Reed3, you say "fear is normal," but honestly, did that pre-op anxiety ever get so intense that you actually felt like running for the exit?

They give you some kind of sedative right before they wheel you into the OR, and let me tell you, I came out the other side feeling absolutely euphoric and blissfully dazed.

They didn't give me anything at all... 🙄

I laid down on the table, they put the cap on my head, and just as they started pulling on their gloves, I actually sat up, swung my legs over, and said, "Okay, I'm good. I'm heading out now..."
They wouldn't let me leave. Then came the little spike in heart rate, the anesthesiologist panicking about tachycardia, and then—zzzz.... 😁

The absolute worst part was lying there after the surgery—those three or four hours in recovery. It was boring enough to drive you insane.

Laura Castillo7 said:Does anyone know what Glumicic is charging for a nose job? And what about Boriću-nisam?

Hey, I was just at Boriću-nisam, and the price is 10. $0.00It’s been about two months since my surgery. There's this tiny hematoma right on the tip of my nose that I supposedly have to massage away—at least, that’s what he tells me. Honestly, my nose looks fine, actually better than before, but I was really hoping for even more reduction... Still, it looks totally natural. You could never tell I had work done, unlike some people out there where you can clearly see the surgery, like celebrities such as Selena Gomez or Katy Perry.

What exactly is a hematoma? What am I looking at here—is this something that’s actually going to clear up? And more importantly, why does this even happen in the first place? I know, I know—it's a lot of questions—but honestly, this kind of stuff is what really gets under my skin. I have zero desire to end up looking disfigured.

And does he charge extra for things like consultations, diagnostic tests, or follow-ups—or is all of that already baked into the initial price? thanks

Laura Castillo7 said:What kind of hematoma? What even is that? Is it going to go away? Why does it happen? Look, I know that's a ton of questions, but this stuff scares the hell out of me. I don't want to end up looking disfigured.

A hematoma is basically just swelling... after surgery, it’s totally normal for your nose and the area around your eyes to be swollen—some people more than others—and then it slowly dies down. It all depends on the person, too. You probably read that it takes about 6 months to a year for the nose to get its final shape. Honestly, my nose looks way better now than before, so it didn't disfigure me; I just expected it to look even smaller... and this tiny little hematoma I have is barely noticeable, but it should clear up... and hey, I'm not charging you for this advice.

Brenda Carter24 said:People talk about how Glumicic performed a stroke of genius with Blanka Vlašić's nose.
It’s been five months since my surgery, and am I satisfied?
Even after my initial praise of Boriću-nisam!
A few months back, this slight bump appeared on my nose—it looks like a subcutaneous pimple. Even though I’ve already gone back to him several times for those sessions with that useless little light, it has shrunk, sure, but it’s still there.
It's awful!
It’s not that it’s glaringly obvious or looks grotesque, but when I dropped 10 $0.00, I expected a flawless result.
In the end, he didn't deliver the exact nose I asked for, and now I have an added complication.
Look, the nose fits my face fine and all, but it irritates me that my specific requests were ignored.
So, they tell me I have to wait a full year and keep going for these "light treatments," but I have zero intention of throwing more $667 at these "procedures."
I have no idea what to do about this bump... and I certainly don't plan on paying for another surgery.
I’ll see how it looks in a few months, then perhaps I'll try something else or find someone else to fix this.
I just knew this kind of nonsense would happen to me.
Does anyone have any advice?

Hey, what's the status with that bump? Has it cleared up?
