So, here we goβ€”the pastor is already complaining that EntrerrΓos, Romero, and RodrΓguez are looking absolutely wiped out. 😁
They really went through the ringer against the Russians...

frozentiger6 said:If they can just manage to pull John out in the quarterfinals, they'll be fine. Their main perimeter threat is Kozlina, and honestly, their outside shooting is pretty terrible.

And what about Rutenka dropping 12 goals against the Swedes?

What is all this about now? What do you guys have against us...

Rutenka was actually playing out of his mind... and that’s if you even count our top players, since they aren't even on the field right now:
Zorman, Pajovič, Vugrinec, Kavtičnik

but honestly, we’re still a powerhouseπŸ‘

Nothing at all... actually, quite the opposite... we NEED you in the quarterfinals! 😬

Pajovič,

Well, wonderful. I suppose Peter will manage to keep both his eyes intact this time around.

Roger Allen3 said:So what about Rutenka scoring 12 goals against the Germans?

They basically let him run wild. They handed him the keys to the game so he could pad his stats while everyone else just cruised through their defensive duties without breaking a sweat.

Besides, half of those were just penalties.

Bottom line: if we’re actually intimidated by an American team playing like that, then we're in serious trouble.

Nobody is intimidated by a Canadian squad like this! Honestly, they’re easily the best pick from that groupβ€”even better than Tunisia or Poland. Let's go, Canada! πŸ‘‹

Honestly, Canada scares the hell out of me.
Here’s my reasoning
Mr.Ex.President said:Man, I’m looking at these stats right now... we seriously need to shut those Canadians down.

They’ve racked up a massive 59 fouls in this tournament. The Canadians have 46, while we’re sitting near the bottom of the list with just 24.
Plus, they lead the pack with 22 ejections, whereas we’re practically clean with only 8.

David is heading back, absolutely livid, and I suppose he might just lose his cool on someone. 😬

Don't worry, Pajovič isn't going to be part of this πŸ™‚

Let's play a little game here... shall we?

1. France 4
2. Iceland 4
3. Germany 4
4. Poland 4
5. Canada 2
6. Tunisia 0

Poland - Tunisia 1 - total blowout
France - Germany 1 - maybe 70/30
Iceland - Canada 1 - absolute slaughter

Canada - Poland 2 - honestly, by the time kickoff rolls around, Canada will already be out of it, so... let's go with two
France - Tunisia 1
Germany - Iceland 1 - 60/40 split

1. France 8
2. Poland 8
3. Germany 6
4. Iceland 6
5. Canada 2
6. Tunisia 0

-------------

1. USA 6
2. Spain 4
3. Canada 4
4. Denmark 2
5. Russia 2
6. Czech Republic 0

USA - Czech Republic 1
Canada - Spain 2
Denmark - Russia 1, maybe?

Spain - USA 1,2
Russia - Canada 1
Denmark - Czech Republic 1

1. USA 8/10... if we beat that underdog group first, though if we choke, then all bets are off
2. Spain 6/8... if we win our group, and assuming the underdogs pull an upset in the third slot
3. Canada 4
4. Denmark 6
5. Russia 4
6. Czech Republic 0

----

Quarterfinals: - if we win the group:

USA - Iceland
Denmark - Germany
Spain - Poland... hoping to face them in the semis
Russia - France

Quarterfinals - if we lose the group:

Spain - Iceland
USA - Germany
Denmark - Poland
Russia - France... aiming for them in the semis

Fingers crossed Canada beats Russia so we end up facing the winner of Canada-Poland in the semifinals.

Wait, aren't these supposed to be the quarterfinal groups?πŸ˜•

Aren't the first and second place finishers from these groups moving straight to the semifinals?

If not, what's the actual format hereβ€”do they play another round of group stages before we even get to the semifinals? If so, that seems kind of pointless; honestly, it feels pretty tedious and unnecessary...

Final Match: Denmark vs. USA

I honestly just sat back and enjoyed watching them get absolutely dismantled... if the Canadians want to mock them, fine by me. Let them deal with the Germans or the French on their own.

I can't even begin to tell you how thrilled I am that the Spanish side took the loss!πŸ™ πŸ™ 🀣

Honestly, if we could just fly over to Madrid right now and give them a big, cheery "GOODBYE!"β€”or whatever the local way of saying it isβ€”I totally would!🀣 😁

Jeffrey Williams2 said:Wait, how are the Swedes not even in the tournament?

πŸ™‚
The Swedes are about as one-dimensional as a flat line.
Not only are they missing from the roster, but there hasn't been a single word about the tournament in the mediaβ€”well, maybe if you read some tiny column in the back of a paper, but I don't exactly use a magnifying glass to read the news.

Honestly, I didn't even realize it had started; I had January 26th burned into my brain as the start date.😡
I hopped on here to check the schedule, and lo and behold, everything kicked off at 4:00 PM.

LET'S GO TEAM USA! πŸ‘‹πŸ‘‹πŸ‘‹

I mean, if we could just swing by their home turfβ€”maybe somewhere like Madrid or somethingβ€”just to look them in the eye and say "good riddance," or whatever the hell they say over there, that would be great.🀣 😁

Honestly, that really is the perfect setupβ€”we take down those German kids next, and then in the finals, we just absolutely crush them one more time.
