Mine usually show up right on schedule every month, but this is getting weird—it's been going on for 16 days now... it just won't quit.

Betty Kelly24 said:Hmm, I guess it’s incredibly risky and irresponsible or whatever... but my boyfriend is visiting this weekend (he lives in New York) and then he heads back there for three days, and we won't see each other again until mid-next month... blah blah blah... I'm also expecting my period during that time, which is the last thing I need right now 🙄 I don't take birth control pills... so, does anyone know if there are any tablets? I heard about something called Primolut Nor?? Did any of you have info on that, or maybe some other solution for me 🙂?
Betty Kelly24 said:Look, I’m not an idiot. I have my appointment on the 16th, so we'll just have to see what the doctor says... though knowing her, she'll probably tell me I'm acting crazy. But until then, I'm just trying to see if anyone else has gone through this or if there's anything useful out there.

Suggesting you "go see a gynecologist" wasn't meant to be malicious—quite the opposite, really. I was just trying to be helpful since you aren't going to find any real answers in a place like this...
Either way, good luck. 😉

For the first couple of years, everything was totally regular, but then out of nowhere, it just stopped. Now, I only get it maybe twice a year. I’ve seen my OB-GYN, of course, and he keeps telling me everything is fine—that it’s probably just stress or because my weight dropped too low. He put me on some hormone therapy, and while I'm taking it, things seem normal, but as soon as I stop, my cycle disappears again. I've been on this medication for about two years now, and honestly, it feels a bit ridiculous. Every time I go in, the doctor just shrugs it off as "stress" and writes me a new prescription. I even went in to have my thyroid checked, though it wasn't a full blood panel—the doctor just felt my neck to see if there was any swelling, and she said it looked okay. I'm genuinely at a loss here... am I really supposed to be on these hormones for the rest of my life? Has anyone else dealt with something similar, or does anyone have any advice? Thanks! 😉
