Sophia Thompson93 said:My stomach has been hurting for 2 or 3 days now, like I'm about to get my period, and everything feels slightly swollen—it just doesn't feel normal at all. Plus, it’s more brownish lately. I went to see my OBGYN yesterday, but they couldn't even perform an exam; please, can anyone tell me if this has happened to you too or what else it could be?

So what did the doctor say? Why couldn't he examine you?🤷 Did he give you any ideas about "what it could be"?🤷

steelangler88 said:Girls, please help. I've been bleeding for three weeks straight now. The flow stays exactly the same, neither heavier nor lighter. It isn't heavy, and my stomach doesn't hurt or anything...

Three whole weeks, non-stop, constant?!?🤷
That is honestly a bit much, even for me...🤷...
For me, the last 3 or 4 months have been like this: about 5 to 7 days before my period, there's some very light spotting, mostly just brown discharge... then my actual period comes for 5 days, then usually around day 13 or 15, I get another couple of days of really light bleeding again (maybe ovulation?🤷), and then after a few more days, around day 21 or 22, it starts up again—pre-menstrual style...
And I know I need to see a specialist, but my doctor is currently on maternity leave, and I simply couldn't make it in three months ago because it's so hard to find a window during those few days when I'm not bleeding...🙄...
About 10 months ago, everything was fine (Pap smear and ultrasound)... so I don't know... maybe it's hormones? 🤷 Right now I'm taking PMS free (from Encian), which I started exactly a month ago, so I'm waiting to see if it works... maybe next month... though I'm losing hope...😁... I have an appointment scheduled for late August, so I'll find out then...

Yeah, it’s been constant. Not exactly heavy, but I definitely need to wear pads.😠
It's been three weeks today. A few days before everything started, I had these weird pains in my pelvis—I actually convinced myself it was some kind of bone issue. 🤷
I really should head over to Walgreens, but I just can't seem to get myself out the door.☕

Hey girls, I'm back again! So, I've been on Yaz for about a year and a half now... but like, a month ago, instead of my usual period, I just got this weird, brownish discharge. It totally freaked me out so I stopped taking the Yaz immediately. I went to see my doctor and ran some tests... turns out, I'm not pregnant! Fast forward to today—exactly 28 days since that weird discharge happened—and my period finally showed up. But it’s nothing like what I'm used to. It started off pretty heavy, but the blood looks super strange, almost like an orange tint? Has anyone else dealt with this? Please help!😕😕😕

Hey ladies, new here. 🙄I’ve got a question—well, I'm wondering if anyone has dealt with this before. My period started last Monday and wrapped up on Thursday. Since then, I’ve had this constant pink discharge, which has never happened to me before. Is this normal, or should I be worried about some kind of infection or something? 🤷

Looking at all these different stories people are sharing here, it honestly feels like we’ve just collectively decided that being treated like garbage is the new normal...🤷

Anyway, if any of you ladies actually manage to snag an appointment with a gynecologist and get through an exam, please, for the love of God, let us know what they say...🤷...just so we have some idea what to expect, since we're all eventually going to be stuck waiting in those endless lines for our own "routine annual checkups."😁...

I'm actually on my third week today. Right before this started, I was getting these weird pains in my pelvis, and honestly, I was convinced it was some bone issue. 🤷
I really need to get to the Mayo Clinic, but I just can't seem to find the time to make the trip.☕

Could it be some kind of inflammation? 🤷
(I'm trying to get an appointment too, but since I'm on Blue Cross, I'm stuck waiting until late August...)

I went in for my five-month checkup and everything seemed fine—just some inflammation that cleared up once I finished the prescribed cream. Now I’m supposed to go back for a follow-up once my Pap smear results come in, but I can't make sense of this discharge. It’s never happened before. 😕It makes no sense for it to be pregnancy-related since it started right after my period ended. And there isn't any real pain, just a slight tightness around the pelvic area, nothing intense. I'm lost. 🙄 God, we women really are a complicated breed. 🤣

I guess the title pretty much says it all...
It’s not even that late—I usually get my period on Friday or Saturday morning, but I woke up today and nothing😕
This week has been absolutely insane with stress—plus I'm working crazy hours all month—so could that be why?
I had some PMS stuff and sore breasts, and now it feels like my ovaries are acting up, but I'm just so
in shock that I might be overthinking the whole thing...
And I am taking my pills right on schedule!!!
Has this happened to anyone else?
Also, I dealt with a yeast infection this month, so I’ve been using vaginal suppositories—and I'm using Canesten right before my period starts... could that be affecting things?
I'm honestly pretty worried...

It’s not like I’m being left hanging forever, but it’s becoming a pattern. I usually have it sitting on my doorstep by Friday or Saturday morning at the latest, yet I woke up today and there’s nothing there.😕
This week has been an absolute pressure cooker. Between the non-stop grind and the fact that I'm pulling full shifts every single day this month, I'm feeling completely fried. Could the sheer volume of work be what's doing this to me?
I was dealing with all that typical PMS crap and breast tenderness earlier, but now it feels like my ovaries are acting up—and I’m feeling completely wiped out.
I’m honestly in such shock right now that I feel like I might actually be able to sense them...
I take my pills exactly when I’m supposed to!
Has anyone else dealt with something like this?
Could that be the culprit? I’ve been dealing with a fungal infection all month, so I've been using medicated suppositories, and now, right before my period starts, I've switched over to Canesten. Is there any chance that's what's causing this?
I’m seriously starting to get worried...

Good grief, do you always live your life this dramatic?😳Look, things don't just happen according to some perfect atomic clock. You’ll likely see her today or tomorrow—it’s really not that deep. If you want something to actually worry about, wait until a week passes during that gap between boxes and your period still hasn't shown up. That's when you have a reason to be asking questions.

usually not, but maybe this time😁
girl, I'm totally losing it this month—no wonder it hasn't arrived yet
I mean, everything has been so regular for like two years straight... I usually know exactly when it's coming, so this is definitely throwing me off...
honestly, I think it's gonna happen soon because I can just feel it coming any second now..

Hey ladies, I’ve got a question! I’m five months postpartum now. Back when the baby was only two months old, my period finally came back and has been regular ever since. In the meantime, I stopped breastfeeding and started back on the pill (just like the one I used before pregnancy, which worked fine for me). Well, yesterday I missed taking a pill, and today I realized I'm bleeding. It’s not exactly a full-on period, but it's definitely spotting... Is my body still just trying to find its rhythm after having a baby, or is this something else? Could it be the pill acting up? Should I give my doctor a call? Am I totally overreacting here?? Has anyone else dealt with this kind of thing?

Hi everyone, I think I might have a bit of a situation...
I had unprotected intercourse just a day before my period was supposed to start, and even though my period arrived right on schedule afterward, I can't help but feel this lingering anxiety about the possibility of being pregnant. Is that even a realistic concern in this scenario?

Technically, anything is possible, though the statistical likelihood is incredibly slim.
Did he finish inside you, and is your cycle typically regular? Just wait until your next period arrives, and if it fails to show up, go take a home pregnancy test.

😕

I know there are probably a million threads about this already—but I really need a quick answer here.

Admins, please don't delete this!!! 🙏 🙏 🙏

So, here's the deal.
I'm heading out on vacation this Tuesday [August 11th].
I got my first period about a month ago, and now it looks like it’s going to show up again in just a few days.
I'll be away at the beach for about two weeks, and I really don't want to spend 5 or 6 days of my trip feeling miserable because of my period.

Since I'm only 13, I'm honestly not super sure if tampons are the right move for me. -.-.
Even though the box says you can start using them from your very first period.

Please help me out!!!
Urgent! 😢 😢 😢 😢

[If I'm even allowed to use tampons... I just don't know how to bring it up with my mom. 🤷 Ugh. ]

I’m not deleting anything, I’m just moving my posts. You know there’s already a dedicated thread for period talk—if everyone posted their "emergencies" everywhere, this forum would be a total mess.

Regarding what you asked, there is a very high chance your next cycle will arrive right on schedule since you're only on your second one. For the first couple of years, things are usually pretty irregular, especially during those initial six months; some girls might only have two periods in half a year. My daughter is about your age, and it wasn't until a full year after her first period started that things finally stabilized to a predictable 28-day cycle. Before that, it was complete chaos.

Personally, I wouldn't recommend using tampons just yet; you're still quite young.

You’re heading to the beach for two weeks... you can definitely manage five days without swimming. Just lounge on the sand and soak up some sun.

By the way, when I was thirteen and at my high school graduation party, I was the only girl dealing with my period. I used a tampon back then. Honestly, I wouldn't recommend relying on them right now; even having instructions wouldn't really make a difference.

Just enjoy these two weeks and go with the flow. There will be days when you'll be wishing it would just show up already.

Hey everyone.
I'm dealing with some issues regarding a late period... here are the facts: I’ve never had sexual intercourse, and my cycles have always been irregular, ranging anywhere from 21 to 41 days.
My boyfriend used his finger on me, and my period started the very next day. Now I'm wondering why this current one is so incredibly late... it's already been 38 days since my last one. Is it even possible to get pregnant from digital penetration??
Has anyone dealt with something similar...

Well, you clearly stated that your cycles are irregular and that you're running late by about 37 to 41 days, so what you're experiencing right now is actually quite standard given your history.

To be honest, if you're genuinely worried about pregnancy just from finger penetration, it might be wise to hold off on sexual activity for a while; it seems you still have a lot of basic information to learn.

Does anyone know if there's any truth to the idea that once we hit a certain profit margin, our growth just hits a wall?😢

No—that is absolutely not true. Perhaps it’s time for a quick refresher on basic biology. 😉
