I’m already two days late... I've been noticing some thick white discharge and itching lately... maybe some kind of infection?👎
Is it actually possible that this is why my period is late...?🤣

Zachary Hayes57 said:I got my first period 11 years ago, and since then, up until this last one, it’s always come five days early. I get terrible cramps so I have to take pills, and I decided to try Aleve 550mg. My last period started 5 days early, and after taking two tablets within a 12-hour window, my flow has drastically lightened—it only lasted four days instead of my usual six. Could the pills be the cause or is it something else? helppppppp

When I'm dealing with cramps, I reach for Aleve too because honestly, nothing else works. I usually stick to the lower doses since they do the trick for me pretty fast, whether it's the 275mg or the 550mg ones, but I never noticed my period getting lighter like you did! And I don't really see why having fewer days is such a massive issue... I mean, most people would probably be thrilled. Especially me, since mine lasts at least 7 days. You should probably only worry if it stops completely 👍

Good luck 😉

So, I finally saw my OB-GYN... sorry for the radio silence... heh. Just like I feared, it's PCOS. And this weight loss? Everyone keeps telling me I look thinner, even though I don't see it myself at all. 🙄
Basically, they put me on Progesterone for a week, then I should get my period and start back on the birth control pills...

Hey everyone.
I'm 22, and for the last two years, my cycle has finally stabilized to a predictable 24-26 day stretch.
Before that, things were a total mess; I never knew when it was coming because I was cycling every 14 days like clockwork.
Well, after having a regular rhythm for two whole years, everything just threw a curveball—my period showed up after only 17 days, which means it arrived a full week early.
Has anyone else dealt with this kind of sudden shift? What could actually cause a cycle to "glitch" like this out of nowhere?
Thanks.

Stress, a bad cold, inflammation... it’s perfectly normal.

Ladies, listen up—this might actually be worth your while. I truly hope it helps.

My previous thoughts on this matter over at the other thread.

It’s definitely possible. And if that’s the case, you might be in for a real surprise when your next cycle arrives! Honestly, I'm going through the exact same thing right now.

So, here’s the situation. I took a break from my birth control because I was dealing with some spotting issues, so my OB-GYN switched me over to a different pill for a bit. The plan was to wait until my period arrived on the 25th and then start back on the regular birth control. Well, the 25th came and went, but my period was basically non-existent—just those tiny traces I always get. That first night, there was absolutely nothing on my pad. The next day, there was just a tiny bit, almost like it was already the last day of my cycle. Since then, it’s been nothing more than an occasional dark drop. It isn't even bright red; it's much darker than usual. The thing is, I restarted the birth control on the exact same day the period was supposed to start, so I'm wondering if that's why things look so weird. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? 😕

Is it possible for my period to be late because I used a tampon? I had some yellowish discharge and ended up using two tampons within two days.

It is entirely plausible that your cycle is being delayed by whatever underlying issue necessitated the use of those pessaries in the first place.

...hmmm...so, my period is usually super predictable, but right now I'm about 8 days late... I took a pregnancy test 4 days ago and it came back negative. It feels a little weird and honestly, I’m getting a bit anxious because I can't quite put my finger on why this is happening. I don't think I've been under any major stress lately, either. The only real changes I've noticed are that my appetite is through the roof, I'm running to the bathroom way more often, and I've been feeling extra moody. I also get these random waves of weakness and nausea, though I haven't actually thrown up. I can't tell if I'm just imagining all these classic pregnancy signs or if something else is going on... what do you guys think? I'm definitely planning to head to my OB-GYN if my period doesn't show up in another week. Everything just feels suspicious, and even though I thought that negative test would give me peace of mind, I'm still feeling pretty uneasy about it... hmmm

..there isn't much else you can do besides exercise a bit of patience....if the test comes back negative ....then you aren't pregnant....try running another one toward the end of the week, maybe around Friday...if it's still negative then just let it go....your period will arrive eventually....bodies undergo all sorts of shifts and changes....so just take it easy🙂
Don't get worked up...stressing out won't help your situation one bit....🙂

So...
I was on the pill for six days (started on the first day of my cycle). It just wasn't agreeing with me—lots of headaches and nausea—so my doctor advised me to stop taking them altogether.
About six days after I stopped, I had some spotting.
It wasn't anything major; it only lasted two days.

I’m trying to figure out when I can actually expect my next period?
Should I be counting 28 days from my last "real" period, or does the clock reset from this recent spotting?
(My cycle is usually pretty consistent at 28 days)

I hope you all understand why I'm asking.😁

I realize hormones can throw everything out of whack, but I'm getting a little anxious because nothing has happened yet. If I count from my last actual period, I'm on day 33... though if I go by the spotting, it's only been 22 days since then.

And if I keep stressing out like this, it probably won't show up at all! :P

I was on the pill for about six days—started right on the first day of my period. But man, they just did not sit well with me at all (constant headaches, nausea, the whole deal...), so my OB-GYN told me I should just stop taking them.
Then, about six days after I quit, I had some spotting/bleeding.
It wasn't anything crazy, just lasted for two days.

I'm trying to figure out when I can actually expect my next real period?
Is it 28 days from my "actual" last period, or 28 days from this weird short one?
(My cycle is usually pretty steady at 28 days)

I hope you guys get what I'm asking here 😁

I know hormones can totally mess with your rhythm, but honestly, I'm getting so frustrated because nothing has happened yet (if we count from my "real" start, it's day 33... but based on this recent bleeding, it's only been 22 days)...

And if I keep stressing out like this, it probably won't show up at all! :P

That irregular bleeding is just what happens when you abruptly stop the pill. There’s really no way to predict exactly when your next period will hit—it'll happen whenever it happens.

I deal with these brutal menstrual cramps that basically pin me to my bed for the first two days. I feel completely wiped out from head to toe.
I started out taking Voltaren, but eventually switched over to Nalgesin Forte because they seemed more effective at first and were supposedly easier on my liver. I relied on them for a few years, but lately, it feels like my body has just become immune to them; I take them and still feel like I haven't taken anything at all.
Then I tried Ketoral, but that was a total bust—it didn't help much, and it gave me terrible stomach pain and diarrhea.
I’m honestly at a loss for what to try next. Being unable to function for two days is exhausting, and even just trying to get to the bathroom is an ordeal since I can barely walk.
Can anyone suggest something else that actually works?

I took them consistently for several years, yet lately, it feels as though I have developed a total immunity to them; the pain persists as if I hadn't taken anything at all.
I subsequently transitioned to Ketoral, but that proved largely useless, aside from causing severe stomach pain and bouts of diarrhea.
I am at a complete loss regarding which medication to try next because being unable to function for two days is unbearable, and even the simple act of using the restroom becomes an agonizing ordeal since I can barely walk.
Can anyone suggest a better alternative?

I strongly suggest you consult this topic. You will find all the necessary information there.

Can someone please give me an actual answer to my question?!

Alright, here’s the deal:
My last period ended on November 30th.
Then, three days ago, I started getting this brown discharge, and by today, it’s turned reddish. It feels like a period, but just a tiny bit—like all I need is a single pantyliner. This whole thing has been going on for three days now.
Is this actually dangerous or what?!

Thanks, experts!!!😛

You haven't given us much to work with here....are you on any birth control? Also, when was the actual first day of your last period? That’s the part that matters, not when it ended...
It could be ovulation...it could be implantation if you're pregnant....and look, I don't want to freak you out, but maybe it’s just an early period or you caught a nasty cold.....maybe...maybe...maybe....
