Sandra Torres39 said:So, what you're saying is you just started getting your period? Look, it's totally normal for your cycles to be all over the place at first—nothing to stress about, really. Have you been sexually active?

Nope... haven't had any sex... but honestly, everything is fine now... I finally got it!!! I don't think I've ever been this genuinely happy about getting my period before...

David Harris58, if this is only your second period, you can't expect it to show up every four weeks on the dot. It isn't really about being "late"... it's just that your cycle hasn't actually established itself yet. That process can take years sometimes. And honestly, some women just never have a regular one...

I find myself facing a bit of a dilemma here, and I would truly appreciate it if anyone who has experienced something similar could offer some insight or advice.
Basically, my breasts used to be incredibly sensitive during my PMS cycle—sometimes the discomfort would kick in as early as ten days before my period started—but lately, the pain has just... vanished. It doesn't happen every month anymore. I don't want to spiral into a total panic, but the sudden change feels quite unsettling; the last time I felt any tenderness was back in December, and then in January, everything proceeded perfectly normally without a single symptom, despite my period arriving as expected. Now, with my cycle due in just four days, there isn't even a hint of swelling or soreness... I’m honestly feeling a little frightened, as I have no idea what this shift might actually signify.😢

Sometimes they ache, sometimes they don't—so I figure it’s just part of the deal.
But I get this pain in my lower abdomen and kidneys a few days before it starts. It hits hardest when my period actually arrives; sometimes the pain is so intense I end up throwing up. Honestly, I’m starting to panic every time I realize my cycle is coming due.

I’m running into a bit of an issue here; I’ve never dealt with a late period before, but I haven't seen anything all month
I get these random cramps that last for a few minutes—the typical kind you feel right before your cycle starts—but nothing actually happens
To be clear, there hasn't been any sexual activity involved

Has anyone here tried any natural remedies for period cramps? I just stumbled upon some Spasmosan drops online and I'm wondering if they actually work. The instructions are super vague—it just says to take 30 drops with a little water three times a day, but it doesn't clarify if you should start taking them a few days before your cycle hits or just once the pain kicks in. I'm seriously tempted to grab them. There's a bunch of other stuff out there for menstrual relief too, if anyone's curious:

I haven't even had any sexual activity.

Unfortunately, I really have no clue. It might be a good idea to just go see a gynecologist, right?

Hey everyone!

I’ve been asking around everywhere, including here, but I gotta know—could I actually be pregnant if I’ve already had three periods since having sex? These have been my usual 6 or 7 days long, complete with the typical cramps and all that.

The weird part is that during the last two, my breasts were super sore right before they started, but that pain just vanished once my period finally showed up.

And with this most recent one, I had this strange, slimy discharge for the first couple of days—almost like ovulation discharge—but how is that even possible while you're on your period? It was just this gross, bloody, slimy mess. Honestly, I have no clue what to make of any of this...

My period started today. I'm experiencing some cramping, though I haven't reached for any painkillers yet; it’s manageable enough.

However, I'm feeling quite on edge today—partly due to work, partly due to my cycle. A few days ago, I felt rather anxious, dealing with slightly elevated blood pressure and a racing pulse (otherwise, I'm healthy). My primary care physician prescribed me Xanax.

So, I'm wondering how wise it is to take that medication while on my period? 😕 I would ask her directly, but she's working the morning shift.

I got my first one about four and a half years ago. Since then, my cycle has been pretty steady at around 35 days—it’s never really been one of those 28-day ones. Based on that, I was expecting it around April 4th, but I actually got it today 🤷 I wonder why it might be coming so early 😁

Hello? Anyone there? Is anybody listening?
What are all the possible reasons why someone might miss their period??
Right now, I'm just seeing what people call "leukorrhea"—basically just clear discharge.
Do women experience this kind of discharge during early pregnancy? Can anyone with actual experience weigh in here? Please.🙂

Same here. I'm already five days late, and I'm getting those usual symptoms every now and then, but nothing. (I actually posted about this on the 17th thinking it was late, but then I realized my cycle was only 28 days last month)😬

niinaa, please at least give us an update. Are you pregnant, did it finally arrive, or is it something else entirely? Please.

This thread has already stretched to 36 pages, and within those pages, the question of why a period might be late has been addressed at least 256 times—not to mention the endless, repetitive inquiries regarding whether someone might be pregnant. We have covered everything from extreme stress to simple cycle fluctuations. Based on what you have shared here, it is impossible to draw any meaningful conclusion about what is actually bothering you.
If you are genuinely preoccupied with the possibility of pregnancy, I suggest you simply head to a local pharmacy and spend $10 on a pregnancy test.

Furthermore, I would appreciate it if you could temper your aggression slightly.

What’s the longest you’ve ever had to wait for a delay?

It’s been about two months for me. It was back during the summer, and I knew for a fact that pregnancy wasn't even an option, so I just went through the days, one by one, for two whole months. Then my period finally showed up and everything just went back to being totally regular.

Well, she had a similar thing happen last summer where her period was three or four weeks late, and then again in November or December by about two or three weeks. It was pretty stressful back then because we were relying on the withdrawal method, but now she’s running two weeks late again. There was a brief moment where I wasn't wearing a condom for maybe twenty seconds, so I guess there's a slight chance, though I really hope it's just some kind of hormonal imbalance rather than anything else—especially since she's under so much stress lately.

If you're worried about being pregnant, just head to a CVS and spend $10 on a pregnancy test.

Do I have time to read all 36 pages of this thread? No. Besides, by your logic, this whole thing should have been shut down after the first five pages. It serves no purpose if you think people shouldn't ask questions here, or if we're expected to just scroll back to page one and comment on the same old posts. This isn't a philosophy seminar. And $10 I’ll spend the money when I'm ready, but there's no harm in doing a little more research—preferably somewhere where people aren't as high-strung as you are. ☕
fadedsailor17 said:What's the longest your period has ever been late?

So far in my life, ten days at most.
The reason I'm worried this time—even though I asked something similar in another thread—is because I'm seeing some "signs": I'm urinating constantly, I feel like my period is coming but it won't arrive, I have thick white discharge, and my stomach feels a bit "bloated." To be honest, I've felt this way before right before my period started, too. But this time it's just not happening, and I'm starting to panic. 👎

I don't know if swollen lymph nodes under my armpits could be a sign, but that's happened to me before; I think it's just a reaction to deodorants. I've also had headaches and backaches, but I can't really link those to pregnancy since I've dealt with them before. What is unusual, though, is that my last two or three periods were short (only 2-3 days when they are usually at least 4), ending with some brownish discharge that was almost watery. My skin texture hasn't changed at all.

I've been in a state of shock since I looked in the mirror today and noticed my "belly." I can't stop thinking that I might be pregnant. I won't take a test until the day after tomorrow when I go see my boyfriend, because I don't want to find out I'm pregnant all by myself and then just spiral from fear. I feel terrible. 👎

Did you end up seeing your gynecologist to figure out why your period was running so late? 😕

That kind of thing usually happens with women who have irregular cycles, but mine is almost always on schedule. I had one instance where it was late by ten days, and a few months back, it arrived three days early. So, the question is: does your girlfriend typically have regular or irregular cycles?

My cycle is actually quite regular.
Back in January, I was ten days late this year, and I was absolutely terrified I might be pregnant... the symptoms were identical to yours... constant trips to the bathroom, unusual discharge, heavy PMS, feeling incredibly bloated—honestly, it felt like I was about to go into labor. I took a pregnancy test, and it came back negative. As soon as I saw that result, I just broke down and cried.
Now, this month, I'm facing another ten-day delay. During those ten days, I kept getting those intense pains you usually feel right before your period starts... it’s just miserable.

Once my period finally arrives, I'm heading straight to my OBGYN to get my hormone levels checked and schedule an ultrasound (I had my Pap smear and a routine exam last month, and everything seemed fine), just to make sure everything is okay with my ovaries and hormones.
