trust me, once you tell her, your mom is going to care way more about how much you're bleeding than whether or not you're a virgin.

it could even be a sign of hypothyroidism...

I have an appointment with my OB-GYN tomorrow morning..
really hoping everything turns out okay 🙂

I’ve been scrolling through the threads for a bit and couldn't find anyone talking about this specific thing, so I figured I'd just lay it all out here:
So, my period kicked in yesterday. It's the usual drill—my stomach is absolutely killing me, my breasts feel like they're about to burst, the whole nine yards. But along with the bleeding, there's this weird, slimy discharge happening, almost like I'm right in the middle of ovulation 😲 Is that actually normal? I've got an appointment set up with my OB-GYN, but it's a month out, so I'm stuck waiting.
On top of that, I'm hitting the bathroom constantly; the urge to pee is relentless (and honestly, I was dealing with that even before my period started).

This is exactly what happened during my last two periods, too. It's becoming a pattern.

Has anyone else dealt with this kind of stuff?

I’m wondering if suddenly jumping back into a workout routine can actually cause a period to be about 10 days late. I basically sat on the couch for three years straight, and then out of nowhere, I started hitting the gym twice a week for a month. I mean, everything else feels like a win, but my body is definitely not cooperating here.

This month, I’ve started noticing that weird, silicone-like discharge 😲 , but what’s really throwing me off is that my period seems thinner and more brownish rather than the usual bright red.

It arrived right on day 28 or 29 of my cycle, so it’s perfectly regular, which is just great. I mean, there is absolutely no way I could be pregnant—dammit, how? After four different periods and two negative tests, I should be certain, yet here we are. So, what on earth is actually happening?! 😲 😲 😲

I also seem to be needing to pee constantly, or at least it feels like a much more urgent sensation than it usually does. And I suppose I should ask, is it normal for your stomach to feel bloated when you're on your period?

Is it even possible that all of this is being caused by my pain medication? I picked up some Diclorapid today because the pharmacist suggested them as an enteric-coated option since I have such sensitive stomach issues, though looking closely at the instructions, it doesn't even explicitly state they are for menstrual cramps.

I am honestly feeling quite unsettled by all of this. Just when I thought I had finally reached some sort of mental peace a few days ago, everything is spiraling again. 😲😲😲

Anyone else experience a uranium surge right after visiting the clinic during the second half of their cycle?

Brenda Cooper3 said:I don't have the patience to slog through all 36 pages of this thread... NO. Besides, honestly, this whole discussion should have been shut down after the first five pages; there’s zero point in continuing if you think people shouldn't be asking questions here, or if we're just supposed to loop back to page one to comment on the exact same posts? This isn't some philosophy seminar. And $10 I'll spend my time however I want, but there's nothing wrong with doing a little more research—preferably somewhere where people aren't quite as high-strung as you are. ☕
In my entire life, the longest I've ever gone is ten days.
The reason I'm spiraling this time—even though I asked a similar question in another thread—is because I'm seeing "signs" that things are about to kick off: I'm urinating constantly, I feel those familiar cramps like my period is right around the corner but it won't show, I've got thick white discharge, and my stomach feels slightly "bloated." Though, to be fair, I've had these exact sensations before only for my period to arrive anyway. But now it just isn't coming, and I'm starting to lose it.👎

I'm not sure if swollen lymph nodes under my armpits could be a symptom, but that's happened to me before too—I assume it's just a reaction to certain deodorants. I've also had headaches and backaches, but I can't really link those to pregnancy since I used to deal with them regardless. What is weird, though, is that my last two or three periods were unusually short (only 2-3 days when they're usually at least four), ending with this brownish discharge, almost watery. My skin texture hasn't changed at all.

I've been in a total state of shock since I looked in the mirror today and noticed a "bump." I can't stop obsessing over the possibility that I might be pregnant. I'm waiting until the day after tomorrow to take a test when I go over to my boyfriend's place, because I don't want to find out I'm pregnant all by myself and then just die of pure terror. I feel absolutely awful.👎

That happened to me recently too; my cycle is always regular and suddenly it was a month late. I totally panicked, but I wasn't even worried about being pregnant since I haven't been active, so I figured it was just some health issue.
And every single day I kept convincing myself it was coming; my lower back and ovaries were aching like I was about to start, and I was constantly checking to see if it had arrived. Honestly, with that much tension, you can't even get it to happen. The second I finally relaxed and told myself "whatever happens, happens," it showed up that very same day. Try drinking some herbal tea for a few days and just try to chill out as much as possible.

I can't really make sense of what you're trying to say here. If you've got a point to make or a question to ask, just get to it. I don't have the patience for vague nonsense. As if I didn't already know exactly where this was heading.
Is anyone even here? Hello? Seriously, people, where is everybody?
There are a dozen different reasons why someone might miss a period, and honestly, most of them aren't exactly fun to deal with. It could be anything from the obvious stuff like pregnancy to your body just reacting to extreme stress or hitting a massive deficit in calories. If you’ve been pushing yourself too hard at the gym or dealing with some heavy mental load, your hormones can easily take a backseat. Then there’s the medical side of things—thyroid issues, PCOS, or even just certain medications can throw everything out of whack. It's one of those things where you're left staring at a calendar wondering if it's just a fluke or if your system is sending you a warning sign.
So, I’ve just got that "cleansing" thing going on—you know, that common white discharge people talk about?
Does anyone else deal with that weird discharge during the first trimester? I’m looking for some actual insight from people who have been through this before. Please, someone help me out here. 🙂

I’m right there with you. I’m already five days late, and despite all those usual telltale signs popping up here and there, absolutely nothing has happened. I actually ended up making my 17th post just because I was convinced I was running behind, only to realize—total brain fog moment—that last month was only 28 days long. 😬)

redpilot17, seriously, just give us an update already—are you actually pregnant, did your period finally show up, or is this some other mystery altogether? please.

Look, it’s pretty simple: I haven't had any sex, so there is absolutely no way I could be pregnant.😁
I was actually getting a little worried that the green bitch wasn't showing up;D
So I just sat down, finally let myself relax, and then—boom—it hit me immediately.

Is everything holding up on your end right now?

Man, I deal with this period crap 🙄 every single month. It’s the same old story.
I almost wish I just had cramps.🙏
Instead, I get hit with diarrhea and stomach spasms. Honestly, I have no clue how to handle it.🤷 If it were just pain, I could just pop some Advil and call it a day... but this? This monthly nightmare is something else.😢

This might sound a bit silly since I’m still figuring out how this whole forum thing works... I have to head to the pool this Thursday, but I doubt my order will arrive by then. So, I wanted to ask which tampons you all recommend... and does it really need to go in that deep? Like, if I check in the mirror, should it be completely invisible, or is it enough if just the Conk is peeking out?
thanks

...well, truth be told... I have never once bothered to glance at the mirror 😁 but you really ought to shove it in as deep as humanly possible...

What kind of mirror are we talking about here? 😕 Just stand there, aim, insert, and gently push it in with your finger until it's set. You have to go at least an inch deep with your finger to get it done. It's not rocket science, for God's sake. The Conk will be visible regardless. Unless you forgot to unwrap it, obviously.

Honestly, I never understood women who are terrified they won't be able to get it out. Are they unaware that the vagina is a "dead end"? A tampon isn't going to travel up to your lungs, FFS 🙄

I figured it out... managed to do it... hh... and honestly, I prefer using tampons now (you can't feel it... and you stay dry the whole time) over pads... this is much more comfortable...

Lately, a few days before my period actually starts, I’ve been noticing this tiny spot of blood every single day. It's been happening for a couple of days now. Is that normal? Based on my usual cycle, I shouldn't be expecting it until around April 28th or 29th, but this spotting started early, and I’ve already got some cramping in my lower abdomen. My periods are usually pretty regular and predictable, though they can be quite painful enough.

It’s totally normal... don't sweat it... honestly, you probably would've already dealt with this by now anyway.👍

I'm just gonna drop this question here so I don't clutter up the forum with a whole new thread...
My periods have always been totally normal—never had a single issue before. But today is day two, and when I woke up this morning, I knew immediately something was off. As soon as I stood up, the bleeding just went crazy. It was heavy, like, scary heavy, and lasted for about half an hour. We're talking "couldn't even use five pads" kind of heavy. It seems to be tapering off now, and I'm really hoping it stays that way because I have stuff I absolutely have to get done today, but honestly? I'm freaking out a little. How dangerous is this? If it settles down, do I still need to go see a gynecologist or what?

Look, you simply need to see a gynecologist to determine if the bleeding has actually subsided or not. If this was a one-time occurrence, I suppose waiting a few days isn't the end of the world if you truly cannot make an appointment right this second, but if it happens again, you should be marching straight to his office without hesitation.

It is most likely nothing catastrophic—I have dealt with my own bouts of heavy hemorrhaging in the past—but strictly as a precaution, because there is always a possibility of something more significant, you really ought to go.

I've had regular periods for years, zero issues until now. It’s only day two, but I woke up this morning feeling like something was seriously off. As soon as I stood up, the bleeding just went crazy. Like, heavy-duty flooding for about half an hour—the kind where you'd burn through five pads in no time. It seems to have calmed down a bit now, and I'm praying it stays that way because I've got stuff I absolutely have to do today, but I don't know how dangerous this is. If it settles down, should I still go see a gynecologist or what?

The bleeding was so bad I spent an entire week stuck in bed. No clue what caused it.🤷 Don't even think about leaving the house if you can help it. Seriously, take my advice. Just imagine if it starts pouring out of you right in the middle of the sidewalk. If I hadn't just laid down, I would've ended up in the ER.

Thanks for the replies, ladies. It seems like things are looking up; it hasn't happened again, though I'm still feeling totally wiped out. It crossed my mind that my doctor mentioned a larger cyst on my ovary during my last checkup, so maybe there's a connection there.
Once this passes, I'll head back in for a follow-up.
