You don't actually have to bother typing out the full hex code—you can just use the color name instead.

For instance, if you use THIS IS A TEST, it ends up looking like THIS IS A TEST.

I mean, honestly, it all comes out to the exact same thing anyway... 🤷
If I don't figure out what to actually call this color, how am I supposed to remember the damn code?

I was wondering, if one happens to be so inclined, how does one go about deleting a thread that we’ve already opened? I suppose I should ask whether it is necessary to send a direct message to a moderator to request its removal, or if there might be some other way to handle it?

Hey everyone. I was wondering... how does one actually go about quoting multiple different people at once? I've figured out how to grab a single snippet from someone, but trying to pull in several different posts from various folks all in one go? I'm totally lost on that part. 🤷

Hey everyone... I just started a new thread... but it looks like a moderator moved it somewhere, and now I have no clue where it went. Any idea how I can track it down?

Before I deleted it instead of moving it. Just click on your username next to your post, then select "Find more posts by amberowl7," and you'll see the full list of your posts.

Yeah... it was deleted... 😁

thanks...

Hey there,
Does anyone know how I can delete an image I uploaded to this thread using the photo tool?

Thanks in advance!

Maybe try asking the sub-forum moderator to just wipe the post or the image entirely—or, if you've got it sitting in your own personal photo album, you could always just go ahead and pull it off the hosting site yourself.

I've got two questions regarding how things work here: first off, when we pick up yellow or red cards, or accumulate penalty points, it shows up in our profile under infractions—it even tells us when they expire. But I'm wondering why old ones, like something from way back in 2009, still linger on the list even after they should have expired?
And my second question is about the inbox: if someone hits their limit—say, between received and sent messages, reaching that 75-message cap—and then they happen to get issued some points or a card, is there any way they'll actually be able to see that 76th message containing the explanation for the penalty?
thanks 😁

It's basically there so anyone can check out someone's track record and see how they've behaved in the past. 😈

And another thing: if, say, our inbox is totally maxed out (between received and sent messages, hitting that 75-message cap), and then we suddenly get slapped with points or a card, is it even possible to actually receive that 76th message containing the explanation for the penalty?
thanks 😁

Honestly, I haven't a clue. I just know that sometimes when moderators are sending PMs to one another, those limits seem to fly right out the window—I remember one time I was sitting at 11 messages over my limit and the mods were breathing down my neck about spamming while I was trying to sleep 😁—but as for regular users, I have no idea if the system works the same way. 🤔

As for that second part, I’m thinking you just get hit with an inbox full notification, and once you clear out some space, you start seeing those "message undelivered" errors pop up. Though, honestly, I can't say for certain if that's exactly how the system handles it. 🙂

The PM notifications for moderators show up regardless of whether your inbox is full, which also means those infraction notices—you know, the ones sent directly from a moderator—pop right up too.

I really felt the need to weigh in on this. 🙈

here I am with a few more questions 😁
I figured I’d just drop them here instead of starting yet another thread... lately, I've been getting hit with all these private messages inviting me to join these brand-new forums, and honestly, it’s starting to get on my nerves quite a bit :/
is there actually a way to make this stop, or am I just stuck dealing with it?

just so I don't clutter up the place by starting a whole new thread... lately, my inbox has been getting absolutely hammered with private messages from people inviting me to these sketchy new forums, and honestly, it’s driving me up the wall :/

If you look up in the top right corner, you'll see a little red triangle icon—kind of like the one on individual posts—that's specifically there for reporting harassment, threats, or spam. Just flag the message and the person who sent it, and trust me, they'll end up having a very bad day with the mods. 😁

If you really want to go scorched earth and just never hear from them again, you can actually go into your settings and shut off private messages entirely, or just set it so only people on your friends list can reach out.

Thanks! I think I’ll hold off on reporting anything just yet since it might not even be the same person—unless they're just using a different handle, I guess—but if I catch anyone else doing this from here on out, I'll definitely flag them.

quick question 😬

so, when I’m hanging out on the main forum page and I click on a thread marked like this in the image:
image
it just takes me straight to the very first unread post.

but then, if I'm digging through some PDF and I click on a thread like the one shown here:
image
it seems to open up either at the very beginning of the thread—if I hit the title—or way at the end if I click the last page.

I guess I was wondering if there's a way to make it so that when I'm using a PDF, clicking any thread would just land me right at the most recent unread post instead? 😬

(feel free to crop the screenshots if they're too huge)
