Honestly, I have absolutely no clue what you're even asking me 😕 🤣
I’ve read through it about ten times now—five times silently and five times out loud—and I am still left wondering what the actual question is... it just doesn't make sense...

Look, you just need to click on Last Page. That should take you straight to the final page where you'll find the unread, new, or most recent post 🤷

So, when I'm on the forum homepage and click on a thread marked like it is in this image, it takes me straight to the very last unread post, which might be way out on page 20 of some massive 459-page discussion.
But then, if I'm looking through one of those PDFs and click on a topic from there, it jumps me right to the last page, specifically page 459, even though the actual last unread post was sitting back on page 20.
I guess I'm just wondering if there's a way to click on any given topic and have it actually take me to the most recent unread post, instead of being stuck with this weird setup where the homepage only offers one specific thread per PDF.
I don't really get why it works this way, or what the logic is here.😕

I accidentally clicked "do not use an avatar" and hit save... just my luck!

Then I tried to fix it by selecting "use custom avatar" and hitting save again, but then I just got this "upload of file failed" error message on my screen...

Does anyone know how to actually fix this? 😢

Look, you actually have to upload the image file directly from your computer—you can't just hit "Use Custom Avatar" and expect magic to happen. You either need to follow the steps to upload the file here as they've laid it out, or if you've already got the image hosted somewhere online, you can just paste the direct link under "Option 1".

Yeah, so I clicked on use custom avatar and nothing happened, no prompt to Browse or anything...

instead, there's just this little box underneath that says "choose file," and when I actually click it, absolutely nothing happens—it doesn't even trigger the window to pick an image from my files or anything like that...😕

The thing is, first of all: my button doesn't even say Browse, it says Choose File

And second: even when I actually click Choose File, nothing happens, like, my folders don't even pop up so I can pick an image to upload...

Do you see what the problem is here?

Basically, I have zero access to my own files; when I hit Choose File, nothing shows up, there's just no reaction at all, and like I said, it doesn't even say Browse...

@coppernomad44/">@@coppernomad44: Which browser are you running? I went through the exact same process using Firefox, and for me, the Browse button shows up just fine without any issues.

Look, don't overthink it—honestly, the easiest way is to just upload your avatar to Imgur and then paste that URL right under Option 1. That should get things moving for you.

While I'm trying to explain exactly where things went wrong🙂...

I was wondering if there's a way to make thread titles show up in different colors, you know, like how "Buying" shows up as green and "Selling" shows up as red? I think I saw a few posts where someone had colored letters at the start and then the rest of the title stayed the usual color

Those are just title prefixes, and they're still being tested on this forum.

Basically, you can't customize them yourself; you just pick one from the list if any are available.

I guess I should probably ask one more thing: what’s actually the point of those prefixes? Are they going to be tacked onto every single PDF from here on out?

Generally, regular users won't be posting them; it'll be limited to moderators (though there will be exceptions, like on Craigslist). They really ought to get rid of the need for those clunky brackets and extra markings in the titles. Instead, there should just be a prefix to indicate a chat topic, or one to show if a thread contains rules and such... Just a way to make certain topics stand out from the rest.

Any way to wipe my old posts—or just scrap the whole account entirely? 🙂

Quick question for you guys—I haven't posted on the forum in about a month, and now that I'm back, I noticed my post count is resetting. Every time I write something, it says "Posts: 1" on the side. Is this happening to everyone else, or is it just me?!

There are already a ton of threads covering this—if you just take a second to glance at the first page of this subforum... is it really that much to ask to look around before hitting 'post'?

The post counter is acting a bit haywire right now—it’ll probably stay glitchy for a while until the system runs its next check, but then things should settle back down to normal.

I haven't been able to track down an answer anywhere, so if you don't mind me asking here... Is it possible to quote a specific post from one thread and transplant it into a different one, provided they're both within the same subforum?
