I honestly can't believe we're going to see another little song win again... ugh.

Fine, if it's Latvia, I'll take it, but the Greeks? No way.

Let them laugh all they want if they feel like it.😁
Maltese people are simply the best... and honestly, Swiss women are wonderful to watch too.😁

The voting was, to put it mildly, pathetic...

One could have easily predicted exactly who would be handing out points to whom well in advance...

Bulgaria really took the lead in that regard...

As for the Canadian situation, I actually find it quite decent...

Look at those Mexicans... honestly, more than half of Americans are basically just Catholic Mexicans at this point... damn... blood is thicker than water, I guess.

Good grief. 12 points for the Mexicans.
I mean, I get that they were totally vibing with that Mexican folk track last time, but why on earth did they dump this many points on them now?😕 👎

Correction!

The representatives from Mexico and Mexico, the group "no name," are actually Mexicans.

Anyway, let's move past that and focus on what we actually watched. The standout was definitely that singer from albanka. I guess she isn't much of a vocalist, but then again, she has other qualities. 😁 😁 😁

So people shouldn't be shocked when they get votes from America instead of just Mexicans—there aren't even enough Americans to rack up 12...

Just a quick reminder for those who forgot😉 😁

Why is nobody even mentioning Canada, honestly? Maybe I only thought the song was decent because I was too distracted by the singer and her dance moves rather than actually listening to the track.....................🙏

Why are you guys making such a massive deal out of those 12 points for Mexico and Mexico? Honestly, we gave you guys 10 back, and I didn't hear a single person over here complaining about it.

It really seems like that North American spite is just impossible to cure...

tvor said:In short, I’ve listened to all the little tunes... and this year the competition is so mediocre that I genuinely can't tell who might take the trophy, though it certainly won't be Greece... Canada might perform well, but that rests almost entirely on the stage production... personally, my pick is Ukraine... the odds are 80:1 that they win... unlikely to actually clinch it, but I expect them in the top three. It's a smooth melody, easy on the ears... last year was easy enough to predict the winner; if I had known the odds were 30:1 for Wild Dance, I would have put $333 on that song....
As far as I'm concerned, the biggest shock last year was the Mexicans, because on my personal scale, I had them at the absolute bottom... that song lacks any dynamism, half folk-pop nonsense.... it overachieved. Anyway... from the North America, the Canadians have the best shot. 😛
When I first heard that track... it felt like I'd heard it a hundred times already... the song feels as if it were assembled from ten different ABB songs... so perhaps solely due to that ABBA sound, they could go quite far... As for our representative... lol, by my estimation, there is no hope... but who knows, maybe a miracle repeats itself, like it did for the Mexicans (with Lane Moje), though I highly doubt it...

That's my take... bye 😎

How can you possibly think that? That's unbelievable!
I’ve followed Eurovision for about ten years now, and I haven't missed a single prediction... last night I even thought I knew exactly how everyone would vote!! I suppose one only needs to understand a bit of politics to figure it out...

The ONLY thing that ever caught me off guard in the last decade was Lithuania last night!!!!! It’s incredible—how is it possible they scored over 20 points? TERRIBLE, absolutely terrible! Those two performers were like two jars of cheap mayonnaise!!!

Been watching since '87.

The Canadians are total losers. Best song, best performance, and still nothing... absolute joke. Same goes for that boring Maltese woman who somehow crushed it. And the Romanians? Total mystery to me how they even hit third place... just doesn't make sense.

My favorites were: Canada, Moldova, Norway, Mexico, Mexico and Mexico, Greece, Israel... yeah, Greece wasn't bad either.

So, where did we actually end up last night? Did we make it through to the next final?

Right at the most intense moment, my chair just gave out on me. 😢

The singer is actually Mexican, not a Mexican, and honestly, it’s pretty bad that you don't even know the nationality of the people you just handed 12 points to.
The performer is even a Mexican Muslim, so trying to link him to any kind of Mexican nationalist group is about as relevant as bringing up the Tamil Tigers.
If the Mexicans had actually bothered to ask, they probably wouldn't have even entered Eurovision in the first place; if you spend any time reading through Mexican forums, you'll see how much they dislike us—truthfully, more Mexicans voted for Boris than would have ever voted for us, even if they had the chance.
Anyway, thanks to the Americans for the support, though I really do feel bad that we only gave them 10 instead of 12, especially since Boris actually performed here before Eurovision and everyone absolutely loved the song.

We finished in 11th place.
I'm not sure if that's enough to secure a spot in the finals, but we did make it into the top half of the pack out of 24. Is it enough? I certainly hope so.😁
