So, dustyscout53, has it ever happened to you where you’re around a girl you actually dig, and suddenly you're acting all forced or just... weirdly different than how you'd act hanging out with your buddies?

It happened to Natalie.. she's gonna be singing for a long time, and she's gonna be damn good while she does it..

If Natalie isn't up to par, then let's hear it.. which singer out there is even remotely better than her, considering they're basically the same age?

Just imagine if Daniel performed "Sunday Bloody Sunday"—that would be absolutely stunning. Just because someone else covers a song for Julia now, especially a younger artist, doesn't mean Daniel’s version is any good. I could never get used to his interpretation, and honestly, that track doesn't even compare to Seagull. But hey, to each their own. The fact remains that Natalie killed it with Seagull, which is exactly why the crowd demanded an encore. And really, who are we to judge whether she nailed it or not? Aside from the people actually in the room? You and me?

Look, regarding Natalie's curves, I've seen better and I've certainly seen worse, but that's hardly the point here and I have no desire to derail the conversation. My impression is simply that she isn't trying to use her body to force her way into the spotlight. Maybe you know her personally and see things differently, but watching her on TV, it's hard to come to that conclusion.

Forced? Man, that woman acted like a total princess on a grain of rice the whole time she was stuck in that literal hellhole—you know, that mysterious house they had them in. Everyone else was pretty much acting normal, except Natalie—she’s always got some issue, something’s always bothering her, she’s constantly rolling her eyes... unhappy with the food, unhappy with this, unhappy with that. Honestly, I looked at the new girl a few times during that house segment, and you definitely noticed Natalie rolling her eyes more than the commercials. And those commercials were on every damn minute. Good thing she didn't get a concussion from all that eye-rolling. Actually, she probably would have if she had a brain to begin with. That's what I call "forced" behavior. A bit of a stretch on the definition, sure, but still.
If Natalie actually had a real personality, she would've taken first place without any issues. I mean, look at who actually won and it'll all make sense to you. Was there some conspiracy behind it? Doubt it. Natalie is just irritating—not just to me, but to most people who ended up picking the absolute legend.
And I'm honestly bored of repeating how Natalie has great ears and a killer voice. Now you want me to go out and find rising stars in America for her age group, Keith James812? That's quite the request. How old is she even, 17? There are plenty of 17-year-old singers in the States who have made it big, right? Like Claudia or that little Ivanna SMS. 😁 😁
Hmm hmm hmm hmm... so many choices, who do I pick? 😲 😲 😁 😁

In my opinion, Natalie is currently at the top of the pile among all generations of American female vocalists. Whether you're looking at Vanna, Nina, Angela, or the Divasice, I honestly can't think of anyone who surpasses her. They might have more experience, sure, but if we’re strictly talking about raw vocal talent, I don't know who I'd put ahead of her.
Of course, we haven't even seen an arrangement specifically tailored to showcase her full range yet. I agree that a brilliant career lies ahead of her. Though, as it seems, there are plenty of people out there just waiting to trip her up.

dustyscout53, didn't she nail that "stop" cover at the factory?

I was floored when I heard her, and even Novkovica got goosebumps! Just name one American singer who could pull off something like that.

dustyscout53, are you absolutely certain you didn't get a skewed perception of Natalie from watching her on TV? I mean, where does this total confidence come from? There is a massive difference between what we see on a network broadcast and who she actually is in real life!

That's just how she is.

Perhaps that’s why their vocals are so on point!

I'm 485% sure she's exactly how she was on TV. Either that, or someone smart told her: "Hey Natalie, just play the airhead—people eat that up, it's totally trendy right now." 😁 😁 😁
Again, I don't have a problem with her voice. But when it comes to personality—you know how we talk in the industry—I've got plenty of issues there. When she isn't singing, she should just stay quiet; let reporters send their questions via fax and have someone else handle the replies. Let her skip the mainstream media appearances entirely—honestly, if she wants to live in some old-school era, that's fine by me.
And look, it's not like I'm going to stop reading Rolling Stone just because Natalie gives a stupid interview in my favorite magazine.
I'm just saying, the girl is a bit much. It's just a fact. And hey, it's not like I'm some young pop star jealous of a more successful colleague or anything like that.
She's painfully dim. But like I've been saying since my first post here—that doesn't necessarily mean it's a bad thing, actually.
Maybe when she grows up, she'll realize how she acted. Who knows? Maybe she'll head off to Tibet for ten years or something.

Seagull was watching the broadcast from the house over at the local news station, and he's convinced Natalie is acting like a total prima donna (!). In his eyes, that attitude is exactly why she’ll never actually make it as a singer. Honestly, reading this just makes me want to reach for a shotgun.

So you're admitting she actually CAN sing. 👋

If she didn't have talent, she wouldn't need all that "personality" everyone in the industry keeps buzzing about. But tell me, what exactly is it that YOU do for a living in show business?

Keith James812, bless your heart. Honestly, you always seem to read everything through a totally warped lens, don't you? 😘>

Well, let’s turn this thread into a little workshop for refining her personality. It might be useful for her to see what the public actually thinks.

mistypanther, go ahead and forward this entire thread to Natalie at her email address.

Worst case scenario, she deserves a bit of a pep talk from us to help her get there.

Good grief, Lebowski, you can clearly see that the two of us and mistypanther need to step in and explain the fundamental difference between "having a good voice" and actually "singing well" to this crowd.
There are just way too many people out there who don't get it.
I guess they just don't understand.

Oops. Except for Keith James812. My apologies. She’s just a middle-aged, small-minded anti-establishment type. But I wouldn't call her dim.

Honestly, if you believe that people comparing Natalie to Tajac—or claiming Daniel has an incredible voice, even better than Bone's—actually owe anyone an explanation, then you are being incredibly naive. The fact that there are jealous types circling Natalie, much like the two of you, only serves as proof of her talent. From what I can tell, mistypanther never actually said Natalie couldn't sing.

Jason Morgan2 said:Dammit,[/I] Lebowski, can't you see that it takes us two and mistypanther to explain to this idiot crowd the difference between "having a good voice" and actually "singing well."
People are just so damn thick.
They just don't get it.

Whoops! Idiot crowd... 😁

That's a total reach... I mean, we have the elite and then we have the idiots... 😁

Those people couldn't even write a nursery rhyme, yet they think they know better than Runjić about who should be singing his songs... When Runjić heard Natalie sing, he didn't fall for the hype like they did—he didn't see an empty vessel, because compared to them, Runjić actually understands music, singers, and the art of singing.. 🙄

btw. Jason Morgan2, I'm way younger than you, which means I'm definitely not middle-aged yet.. 😁

If Natalie hadn't been shaking from nerves, she could have used that incredible ear and voice of hers to relax a bit more, and then it wouldn't have just been "good"—it would have been legendary... instead, it was "just" a good performance..

I’ve been sitting here reading through these little bursts of genius you all post, and I must say, I am absolutely feasting on your expert commentary. I’m particularly drawn to those remarks claiming that vocal ability is irrelevant because everything ultimately boils down to one's attitude toward life, their approach to kits, and how they relate to others. I suppose I could add my own two cents to the mix, but frankly, it feels somewhat foolish to offer my humble opinion alongside such profound, professional observations. Regardless, at least I have finally discovered a medium where I can find my true North regarding opinions. :-)
And for that, I thank you... -)

You seem to be quite fond of the word "essence," don't you? And I see you even picked up a little bit of my vocabulary.
Well, what can I say when American is my native tongue? Though, I suppose I am glad others can learn a thing or two from me.

I wouldn't be entirely surprised if you had trouble spotting the North Wind star in the night sky,
as it seems your sense of direction isn't exactly your strongest suit. You struggle to distinguish left from
right, so I suspect you might have some difficulty locating north. For the record, left is on your left side.
There, now you know that too.

The idea that myself, Lebowski, and Drita are incapable of writing a simple nursery rhyme is clearly just your opinion.
The three of us actually write better than John Williams, who happens to compose music.
That's a bit of a stretch—I wouldn't want to mislead you.
I really shouldn't mock your selective blindness, since you somehow managed to overlook
(it is fascinating how you only notice what suits your narrative—not that it's a bad trait, perhaps you could teach me)
my post where I recount what Williams saidafter the concert.

Just because I am old doesn't mean you aren't middle-aged yourself.
If Natalie hadn't been so nervous, she might have actually sung the song well,
and if my grandmother had any backbone, she would have been a grandfather.
cy 🙂 Jason Morgan2
