I'm looking for speech therapists who specialize in neurological disorders.
The girl we’re running this fundraiser for is at the point where she needs a top-tier speech pathologist more than ever. If anyone has a solid recommendation, please shoot me a DM.

Hey, and sorry if I’m repeating something that’s already been asked—I know how these boards go—but I’m on the hunt for a private endocrinologist in Washington, D.C., who actually knows their stuff. And I mean *really* good. Just to be clear, this isn't some gynecological issue or anything like that; it’s my pituitary gland, and maybe the adrenal glands too... complicated stuff. Honestly, the wait times at the public hospitals are just ridiculous lately. Thanks in advance.

Also, I would be so grateful if anyone knows where I can find a price list for their medications.
Thanks.

p.s.
My apologies if this isn't quite the right thread for this question.

In my experience, I've ordered medications from Austria through a Canadian postal service in a town like Pittsburgh in the Midwest, which makes it pretty straightforward to pick up if you're traveling from Washington, D.C., or even just have a friend grab them for you. I'm not entirely sure if the forum rules allow me to post the specific address of an Austrian pharmacy here, but if you're interested, please feel free to send me a private message. They maintain a full price list directly on their website.
Best regards.

Does anyone happen to know if there is a psychiatrist in America who specializes specifically in schizophrenia? I am looking for someone—private practice is perfectly fine—who might be able to offer some guidance regarding a particularly difficult case. Thanks in advance.

silentbison17 said:I'm also looking for a good dermatologist in Miami! I heard Desanka Bakalic is good—has anyone actually seen her before??

Count me in on the search: a reliable dermatologist in Miami. I need to get some moles checked out, and while there are plenty of options, I have no clue who to actually book an appointment with.
Anyone got a lead for the three of us? 😁

I’ve been dealing with this issue for a while now—the skin just won't retract. I know the standard route is to see my primary care doctor to get a referral to a urologist, who would then decide if I need a circumcision or something similar.

The problem is, I can't seem to get an appointment with her. I'm wondering if anyone knows a urologist in Washington, D.C. who accepts Medicare. I'd like to establish care there and, if possible, have the procedure done during the same visit.

Any recommendations?!!!!!!

I've already sent out several emails, but I haven't found anyone who takes Medicare.

Otherwise, I might just pay for a consultation and go to a hospital to get it handled.

I looked into private specialists, but the costs are $1333 quite high. If I can't find a way to do this through insurance, that's my backup plan, even though money is tight right now.

Also, does anyone know how you transfer your medical records to a different doctor?

I'm on the hunt for a new primary care physician who's actually taking new patients and won't leave me sitting in a waiting room for three hours...😁
If anyone knows someone in the neighborhood around downtown Washington, D.C. or near the West End... I'd really appreciate the lead.🙂

Shoot me a DM if you can...🙂🙂

Here's what I can offer in return:
pulmonology If you happen to be near the West Side, there's a private option that takes referrals too. They get you in fast, have all the latest tech, and the staff is top-tier...🙂
ENT Dr. Klapad handles social security cases over in Shalati, but does private work at the Klapan clinic🙏 He really knows his stuff and is super professional. He fixed my issue in a week, while everyone else was just bouncing me from one hospital to another...🙂
dermatology Andrija Stanimirović is a bit hard to book, but he’s great—really listens and actually works to solve the problem.🙂

So, I’m on the hunt for a GP, specifically someone based in the Miami area.

I've finally reached the point where I have to stop ignoring one of my old health issues—you know how it goes—so my doctor really needs to be someone who can handle all my specific quirks, anxieties, and general rambling without judging me too hard. 😁

Also, if anyone has a solid recommendation for a dermatologist (or a venereologist), feel free to shout. Private practice is totally fine by me.

I'm looking for a decent dermatologist somewhere in the Washington, D.C. area😁 maybe one that isn't part of some overpriced private practice, though if I have to go private, I'd prefer something that won't break the bank

Does anyone happen to know the typical cost for mole removal through a private dermatologist? To be precise, it isn't a raised mole, but rather a patch of dark brown pigmentation that I find quite distracting on my face.

Can anyone—ideally someone who’s actually dealt with this—recommend a top-tier dermatologist in Washington, D.C.? I'm looking for someone great, even if they only take private clients. I've been battling dandruff for years now and I'm ready to finally be done with it.

Thanks!

Hi everyone,

I am looking for some solid recommendations for specialists covering a few different areas in the Miami and Washington, D.C. regions:

Lyme disease and various co-infections
Hashimoto's disease and adrenal fatigue
Parasitic infections
Adult autism spectrum disorder guidelines

Any suggestions you could share would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

Does anyone know which surgeon at Mayo Clinic is the best for septoplasty or nose reshaping? Everyone seems to be talking about someone, but I can't find a specific name anywhere. I could really use some help here!🙂

Has anyone here actually dealt with Dr. Rožmanić before? I'm trying to figure out what a consultation usually runs me... also, does she handle removing moles from the scalp? If not, who’s the best person to see for that in San Francisco? Should I just head to the Mayo Clinic or try to find a private specialist?

I don't know much about Mercury, but if you're looking for a specialist, Dr. Klapan is your guy. He's actually an ENT professor, too. 🙂
Honestly, if I were in your shoes, I'd much rather deal with the headache of getting a referral for some basic salad than mess around with mercury.😉

I had a spot removed from my face by Dr. Tončić about two years ago $200. I ended up taking the sample over to Johns Hopkins myself to get it sent off for pathology analysis.

I'm actually in the same boat, searching for a solid dermatologist in Washington, D.C. I need someone who focuses on actual medical issues rather than just cosmetic stuff.

I checked my temperature after feeling a slight wave of weakness and some chills. For the first two days, I could actually feel the spikes happening, but now it seems my body has somewhat adjusted, so those sensations have subsided.

I stay active through sports—sometimes quite intensely—but when there's a fever involved, even the slightest exertion leads to rapid exhaustion and a touch of dizziness. Essentially, I am stuck doing nothing but sitting or walking, which is starting to test my patience.

I could really use some advice here! So, I started seeing a dermatologist down in Miami this past summer to deal with some acne issues, and honestly, I’ve been pretty happy with the progress. But now that I’m living in Washington, D.C., I’m looking to switch things up and find someone local. I need recommendations—it doesn't matter if they take insurance or if they're private practice—as long as they actually know their stuff. I’m looking for a specialist who truly understands skin pathology, not someone who just scribbles down some "close enough" prescription and sends you on your way. Does anyone have any solid, positive experiences they can share?
