😉

He is an outstanding specialist, particularly when you first visit him for a private consultation.
However, he will certainly attempt to persuade you toward surgery even when it isn't medically necessary. Should you decline the procedure, be prepared for a completely different experience during your next visit—ranging from a change in attitude to outright rudeness during the examination, the consequences of which you may ultimately have to resolve with a different physician.☕

Does anyone happen to know where I might go for a thorough private consultation with a gastroenterologist in Washington, D.C.? I’m trying to get a sense of what the landscape looks like—specifically regarding pricing... I guess I'm wondering what the typical cost for a gastroscopy or similar diagnostic tests in that field tends to run these days.

Why would you even bother going private? Just see your primary care doctor and get a referral for a gastroenterologist... you can find top-tier specialists in that field at Rib or KB Dubrava.

Honestly, I’d probably just shell out for a private specialist—waiting four months for a gastroenterologist at a public hospital is just ridiculous. 🤷

I had to wait about a month and a half just to get an appointment at Rib. Honestly, if you're looking for the longest specialist waiting lists, you'll find them over at KB Dubrava.

I seriously need an endocrinologist,
because I went to one recently who clearly hasn't a clue what they're doing...
So now I'm on the hunt for a new specialist.
I'm torn between heading over to Mercy Hospital or maybe Mount Sinai.
Has anyone here actually been to either of those? Give me the real scoop—are they any good?

That’s exactly the problem—at KB Dubrava, they aren't even looking at appointments until October, whereas over at Rib, you might get in a couple of months earlier... but I really need this sorted out urgently.

I was wondering—do those top-tier doctors over at Rib and Dubrava ever pick up shifts at private practices? I guess it’s worth asking, maybe there's a way to catch them outside the main hospital setting if you're looking for that specific expertise.

I’m pretty sure Dr. Duško Kardum runs a private practice too. Do a little digging on Google 🙂

Does anyone happen to have recommendations for a good GP or a dentist over in the Dubrava area, specifically near Grižanski?

I highly recommend Dr. Ivo Rotkvić. I visited him based on a referral from another physician, and I was thoroughly impressed by both his professionalism and his character. Regarding specific costs, it would be best to inquire with the office directly, as I do not recall the exact figures.

Does anyone know a solid private dermatologist in San Diego? I'm dealing with back acne, and everyone I've seen so far has only offered temporary fixes. 🙂

17 William Shakespeare Plaza, Dr. Solomon,
from what I’ve gathered, they’re excellent and you don't have to wait more than a few days,
plus they just brought on another specialist who is supposedly top-tier, coming over from the Mayo Clinic network.

Actually, I’m in the same boat. I need a solid recommendation for a family doctor for my kid—we need to transfer their records from the pediatrician—somewhere around Forest Hills or maybe out toward Suburban Chicago...

Thanks😉

I'm looking for some solid recommendations for private physical therapy out on the west side of Washington, D.C., ideally somewhere with reasonable rates.
I broke a bone in my ankle, and they're taking this cast off me any day now. I want to jump straight into rehab because if you try to deal with the public clinics around here, you'll be sitting on a waiting list for months. I can't wait that long.
Thanks!

I think I’ll start a new thread here. I’ve been dealing with some back pain for a few years now, but I’ve just been putting off seeing a doctor. I’m still relatively new to Washington, D.C., so I haven't really found my footing yet—though, honestly, I’ve never been great about navigating the medical system anyway, so I’m not even entirely sure if this is the right specialty for me 😁).

Does anyone have recommendations on which specialist or clinic I should look into? I'm wondering how the scheduling works, what the wait times are usually like, and if I definitely need a referral first. I wasn't sure if the process is still the same as what was mentioned in the previous thread or if things have changed recently. I suppose I’ll probably need a full spinal workup, maybe some X-rays, and possibly even a checkup on my feet too.

Which specialist should I actually see? Should I head to a specific hospital or a local clinic? How do I even make an appointment, what's the wait time like, and do I definitely need a referral from a primary care physician? Is the process still the same as what was mentioned on the previous page, or has the system changed recently? I'm assuming I'll need a full spinal workup, X-rays, and maybe even a foot exam too.

First things first: you have to go through your primary care doctor. From there, they'll send you to a neurologist or a physiatrist.

Good day.
I need some assistance—I recently moved from San Francisco and am looking for a junior GP to transfer my medical records to. I’m currently living near Central Park, so somewhere in that vicinity would be ideal, though I'm not strictly limited to the area. Does anyone have a recommendation? Thanks.

Hey, I’m looking for a solid recommendation for a private immunologist or rheumatologist out here in Washington, D.C.—honestly, I wouldn't mind someone in other parts of the US if they're actually good. I really need a second opinion to finally get a proper diagnosis sorted out. Thanks!

So, is there anyone here who’s actually dealt with hemorrhoids? Looking for some real advice... maybe a doctor who actually knows what they're doing or just a way to make it stop...
