So, I just finished up at the pediatric rheumatologist, but now that I've officially hit adulthood, I have to move over to the adult department. They've got me scheduled with Dr. Đurđica Babić Naglić... anyone have the scoop on her?

I dealt with a brutal case of demodex that she failed to even recognize, let alone test for, even after dozens of visits. She was swapping out my medications and creams like I was some kind of lab rat in an experiment!!! In the end, she actually had the nerve to tell me to see a psychiatrist and take something for anxiety because apparently, nothing was wrong—meanwhile, my face and neck were a total disaster!
So, I headed over to the San Francisco hospital. At the time, Stanic was the specialist on duty. She looked at my neck and said, "This is a textbook case of demodex," but insisted we run an analysis anyway, which confirmed it immediately.
Kosanovic is an old schizophrenic woman whom I would NEVER step foot near again! Later, I took the results from Irena back to her and told her she should be absolutely ashamed of that degree of hers... I mean, how does demodex not even cross her mind? It was like we were all playing charades instead of practicing medicine. 👎
My advice? Avoid Kosanovic like the plague! 👎
Honestly, you should stay far away from Irena Stanic too.

Hey everyone!
Does anyone know if there's a dentist in Charleston who uses Healozon for treatments?

Since I'm moving to San Francisco, I need to figure out how to transfer my medical records. Specifically looking for dental, OB-GYN, and a primary care doctor.
Does anyone have recommendations for the best ones who are actually accepting new patients?
And they gotta be near downtown.
Thanks 🙂

I’m going to jump in on this thread because I’m actually hunting for the same kind of thing here in Washington, D.C., so if anyone has some solid leads, please let me know:
1) A place where I can get a full orthopedic workup (ultrasound, X-rays, the whole nine yards) followed by physical therapy for a shoulder that just won't quit. I’m open to everything—whether it’s through Medicare at the Mayo Clinic or hitting up private clinics like Medikol or any others people have mentioned. I’ve already wasted time on a few different therapy sessions that did absolutely nothing for me, so honestly, I don't care about the price tag. I just need someone who actually knows what they’re doing to give me a real diagnosis and finally fix (or at least manage) this shoulder.
2) A reliable ophthalmologist, preferably on the East Side of town.
Thanks in advance for the help.

Hey everyone, I'm looking for some solid recommendations for a good primary care doctor around the Sesvete Emergency Services, Dubrava, or Retkovec areas... Any leads would be awesome. Thanks!

Anyone know a solid, heavy-hitting neurologist in NYC?
The local docs here haven't really helped much, just gave us the runaround...
Honestly, doesn't matter if it's at a major hospital or a private practice, I just want someone who actually spends enough time with us. Someone to really dig into the test results and give a second opinion. Most importantly, I need them to actually try and find the root cause...
Nothing sucks more than getting discharged without anyone actually explaining what's going on.😢

Dr. D. Božičević practices at the Grbavac Clinic. He is highly accessible and an outstanding specialist.

I'm having some issues with my vision—specifically, I've noticed I'm becoming quite nearsighted. Should I just head to one of those quick vision screenings at a retail store, or should I grab a referral and see an ophthalmologist at a hospital? I'd love some recommendations. I tend to be pretty subjective about these things, so I'm looking for whatever type of exam will give me the most objective results. 🙂

I visited the West Side Emergency Services. The doctor and the nurse were incredibly kind, but be prepared to wait a massive amount of time before they actually see you.
I went in thinking my prescription had gotten worse, but it turns out I’ve got cataracts in both eyes. The whole exam was covered by Medicare via a referral.
Next time, I’m going to try my luck at the Mayo Clinic, but if the wait there is just as brutal, I'll probably just pay out of pocket and go to a private eye center.

Does anyone know a good orthopedic surgeon specializing in bone fixation—specifically for the heel? Looking for recommendations here in the States. Doesn't matter if they're private practice or part of a hospital network, just need someone who's actually elite at what they do. Thanks.

Make sure you schedule a comprehensive exam with an ophthalmologist; a simple vision check is merely for basic orientation and doesn't provide the full picture.

1. Looking for a neurosurgeon specializing in the lumbar spine—any recommendations in NYC or San Francisco?
2. I'm trying to decide between getting neurosurgery in San Francisco (since I'm local to the area) or heading to NYC. What are the advantages of a major hub like NYC? Or should I just stick to what's close to home?

I’m looking for a recommendation for a neuropsychiatrist who actually takes the time to unpack an individual case, rather than treating patients like they're just another item on an assembly line. I'm open to social, private, or a mix of both 😁. Thanks.

Dr. Vesna Huber Kozina over at the Sesvete Emergency Services is absolutely wonderful—both as a person and a physician. Honestly, I wouldn't trade her for anyone else.

Dr. Dubravko Božičević maintains a private practice.
