Does anyone happen to know a solid dermatologist who actually knows what they're doing when it comes to dyshidrosis?
Ideally, someone based in San Francisco, but honestly, I wouldn't mind making the trek out to Chicago if the specialist is actually worth the drive.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a decent physical therapy clinic in San Francisco?
I know the top-tier spots are up in Lovran or Opatija, but I really don't feel like making that commute every single day...

Does anyone happen to know where Dr. Jane Doe went? She and her incredibly sweet nurse used to work at the clinic near Times Square, but I stopped by after a long time and they're both gone. Now there’s just a sign on the door saying "team without a lead," and inside there's some new young doctor—supposedly graduated last year—named Jane Doe along with another nurse. I honestly don't understand what happened here. Am I even allowed to switch doctors, or am I stuck with this situation indefinitely? Has anyone else dealt with this? I really loved Dr. Jane Doe. 🙁

Kimberly Bishop91 said:I have a question about general practitioners. Has anyone worked with Jane Doe at the Community Health Center or Dr. Daniel Dragojlović over on Gardener Street? I need to switch doctors ASAP!!! I’m currently seeing Husman Miletic, but I've just had enough.
I want to move my kid over too, so any info helps since I don't have any leads right now.

Thanks.

I'm looking for the same thing—specifically regarding Dr. Dragojlović, or honestly, if anyone has a good GP recommendation for the West Side of New York City?

Hey there
Can anyone recommend a dermatologist in San Francisco? Looking specifically for private practices. I need to get about 15 skin tags removed—pretty sure they're just soft fibromas. Does anyone know what private doctors usually charge for something like that? Any experiences you can share?

Does anyone know when I can actually switch my primary care physician? Is there a specific window of time during the year when this is allowed, or can I just make the change whenever I feel like it?

Also, does anyone know where I can find a list of doctors who are currently accepting new patients? I’ve been scouring the Medicare website, but I can't seem to find anything helpful regarding that...

Any help would be much appreciated!

You can change your primary care provider at any time during the year. The standard requirement is that you have been seeing your current doctor for at least one full year. If you need to switch sooner than that, the process becomes significantly more complicated, involving various formal statements and paperwork.
Regarding which doctors are taking new patients, you will need to call them directly; there is no official directory available online.

As for finding out which doctors are currently accepting new patients, your best bet is to just give their office a quick call, as they don't really maintain an updated list on their website.

Thanks so much for the info, and I did have one more question... is it possible to switch providers while I'm currently out on medical leave?

Nah, you can't just jump over to another LOM while you're out on medical leave. It's a hard no. Once the leave period actually wraps up, though? Then there's absolutely no limit.

Septoplasty and cartilage surgery at Mayo Clinic
yes/no

Look, I really don't have the extra cash to drop on a private specialist right now, but I urgently need to fix this cartilage issue that's driving me crazy and a deviated septum that's making it hard to breathe.
Also, has anyone here had nose surgery done at the Mayo Clinic and ended up unhappy with the results?

What were the surgical methods used?
How was the recovery process?
How long is the current waiting list?

Thanks.

Does the Private Medical Practice, which is part of the Community Health Center, have a contract with Medicare? I went by to book an appointment, but they weren't open, and there wasn't even a sign on the door saying anything...

Got no info, honestly wondering the same thing.

From what I heard, Dr. Legović won't be staying long either since she landed a spot in ENT over in Sisak. Since Dr. Jane Doe vanished, I haven't heard anything. Don't know if someone else is coming... or who.

And regarding Dr. Fabrični Horvat, it’s weird that even her nurse isn't there anymore. 😢 Really hope she's back soon... My Medicare profile still lists her as my primary doctor.

Does anyone know if physical therapy through Medicare is still available at the Sports Center? And more importantly—how does one actually go about booking an appointment? Thanks in advance!

If you want a top-tier maxillofacial or plastic surgeon, just skip the professors. I saw Uglešić before and there was just a massive crowd of students running around him everywhere.
