Which specialist should I choose to join the care team?
Since this is my first time dealing with them, I am unfamiliar with the protocol and how to interpret the test results to find the right treatment plan. 🤕😊

I’ve been scouring the internet trying to make sense of things, but I’m feeling a bit lost and would truly appreciate some guidance.

My primary care physician handed me a specialist referral—let me try to transcribe this accurately: ultrasound of both wrists with a specific focus on the ulnar region tendons. Even though the specialists at Trauma insisted that getting it done there would be the most efficient route, the earliest appointment they could offer isn't until next February. Meanwhile, I have an opening at Rebro about a month before that, and I’m still just waiting in silence for a response from Holy Spirit.

At this point, it feels like the only sensible move is to pay out of pocket for a private clinic, especially since I don't think I can manage without moving my hand properly until the new year. If anyone has any recommendations for good private spots in Washington, D.C., please let me know.🙂

I really need to find a solid ophthalmologist in either Washington, D.C. or Cleveland to get a second opinion. My mom’s field of vision has been shrinking lately, and honestly, I'm pretty worried about it. If anyone has any advice or a good recommendation, please let me know—it would mean the world.

I received a recommendation from an ophthalmologist at SB suggesting that I head over to New York City to get
one of these done: either a Pentacam scan or standard corneal topography.
I am somewhat uncertain about the actual distinction between the two, and I suppose I am wondering which one might be the more prudent choice for my specific situation?
Furthermore, if anyone could suggest a premier private clinic in NYC that specializes in these procedures, I would be immensely grateful.

I’m looking for a gastroenterologist recommendation—doesn't matter if it's private or through Medicare, I just need someone good. Ideally, someone who isn't a hundred years old and doesn't think ulcers and heartburn are the only things that exist. I need a specialist who actually understands modern issues like gluten sensitivity, IBS, and the like. Someone who runs targeted tests based on actual symptoms rather than just guessing and hoping for the best.

Washington, D.C. or somewhere nearby.

I just want someone who isn't ancient and won't act like ulcers and heartburn are the only issues in existence. I need a specialist who actually understands modern digestive issues, like gluten sensitivity, IBS, FODMAP diets, and the like. Does anyone have a recommendation for a dermatologist in New York City who takes Medicare? I’m looking specifically for someone who can perform cryotherapy—but please, anything but Shalat. The wait times there are absolutely ridiculous, sometimes up to a year just for an initial exam... it's almost comical how long they make you wait. Thanks in advance!

Maybe Damir Bosnar at Holy Spirit Washington, D.C.—he's top-tier. My mother actually has an appointment scheduled with him in nine months...

Has anyone here actually dealt with the hospital in Ogulin? I need to get a CT scan done. Because of the nature of my condition, getting an absolutely pinpoint accurate reading is everything to me... but I've heard whispers that the CT equipment over in Ogulin is outdated and just isn't reliable. I have no idea how much truth there is to those rumors, so if anyone has any insight or first-hand info, please help me out.

I didn't want to start another whole new thread, but I was just curious about something.
If someone is constantly feeling stressed out, both at home and at work, can a general practitioner prescribe something like Normabagel? Or do you absolutely need to see a psychiatrist to get something like that prescribed?

They certainly have the authority to prescribe it. However, if you happen to be a younger person, they tend to be quite hesitant and will often insist that you see a psychiatrist first. I say this based purely on my own personal experience.

I don't know what you're getting at with that. If you have a point, make it. kaže:
