I reckon you can pretty much do it whenever you want—you just have to fill out one of those formal request forms they give you and explain why you need it.

Look, if you haven't switched doctors or dentists in at least a year, you can change them whenever you want. Just pick whoever you prefer—they’ll give you the necessary paperwork to switch dentists, then you just take that over to Jukić's and you're done. My husband actually just went through this recently—it works. The only real catch is making sure a full year has passed since your last switch.

Can any of you legends recommend a decent dentist,
I’m terrified of the dentist and I’m hoping I can use my student insurance to cover it—being a student means I'm basically living on ramen and scraping by right now...
thanks!

Look, I get it—my husband is also terrified of the dentist more than anything else in the world. We actually found out about Dr. Hercigonja-Matković’s office near Central Park; they take insurance, and if you aren't in an emergency situation, they'll even help you handle those paperwork changes to switch providers over at Jukić's. My husband is honestly thrilled—he’s already booked to go back in two weeks, and I can't even remember the last time he saw a dentist that frequently.

Hey everyone, maybe someone already mentioned this and I just missed it (sorry about that!). Does anyone have a good GP recommendation in the suburbs of Chicago? I'm really not happy with my current doctor, so if you have any personal experiences or leads, I’d truly appreciate the help.

Hi there.
Before I go any further, I’d like to ask everyone to please refrain from turning this into some kind of moral debate about whether this procedure is "okay" or not. I truly believe we all have our own valid, deeply personal reasons for the choices we make.
To get straight to the point: I have made up my mind 101%—I am going through with breast augmentation surgery.
But here is where the dilemma kicks in: should I go see Dr. Colic or head over to the Mayo Clinic to see Dr. Stanec?
Does anyone (pleaseeeeeeee!) happen to know what the pricing looks like for either Dr. Colic or Dr. Stanec at the Mayo Clinic?
Thanks so much in advance.🙂

Look, I’m no medical expert, but honestly? If there's an option to get a procedure done over here in the States, you should probably just go for it. If things take a turn for the worse later on—God forbid—you don't want to be stuck in a situation where everyone turns their back on you the second complications arise. Why risk it? Don't get hung up on the price tag; at the end of the day, you're the one who has to live with the results!

You make a good point, especially working here in the States. Honestly, there's a real advantage to doing plastic surgery in a hospital setting; if anything goes sideways, you've got much better access to immediate medical support.

I’m right there with you on this one, and honestly, I’d go a step further—you really ought to post some before and after photos so I can actually give this a proper rating!🤣

Greetings.
I am looking to schedule an eye exam, though I am honestly at a loss as to where to go, which is why I am turning to this community. Does anyone have a specific ophthalmologist they would recommend? In the past, I have used Mayo Clinic, but I have heard some unsettling things regarding their reliability lately, so I am hesitant to return.
My primary goal is to get an assessment for contact lenses, especially since I deal with significant astigmatism. Furthermore, I am somewhat concerned about certain spots appearing in my field of vision; under specific lighting and contrast, they seem to drift or float across my sight. I have done some light reading on the subject, and I would be interested to hear if anyone else here has dealt with similar symptoms.

If you're looking for recommendations, I’d say check out the Nemetov Clinic—they have two really solid gynecologists there.

Tomislav Miletić and Dr. Miro Šimun Alebić

They’re great. I’ve been going to them for quite a while now and, honestly, I’m super happy with the care. The doctors actually take the time to focus on you, they're totally professional, and the nurse is wonderful too.
They're open during both morning and afternoon hours.
The prices aren't bad, either.
You can just look up their website if you want to check things out or get in touch.

Seriously, Nemetov Clinic is probably the best place I've ever been to. I'm definitely sticking with them.

Looks like you're hunting for an ophthalmologist. I’ll say it again: check out the Nemetov Clinic.

Dr. Sanica Perić—she works by appointment only, though.

She’s honestly great. I recommend her to pretty much everyone I know, and honestly, anyone who goes there seems happy enough to head back.

01/ 4693-111—that’s the clinic’s number, but they have a website too, so maybe just look them up.

Whereabouts in the States can I get that test done?
What’s the damage on the price tag, do I need a referral from my doctor, and how long am I looking at waiting for the results?

If you’re looking to get bloodwork done for a possible pregnancy, you'll need a referral from your OB-GYN first. Then just head over to the hospital—say, the lab at Holy Spirit—and if you're going through Medicare, you can usually have the results back by 2 p.m. that same day. At least, that’s how it worked for me.

Dr. Prpić—handsome, smart, and incredibly skilled. Honestly, I wish my teeth ached more often just so I had an excuse to see him. Milina would be thrilled to sit there with him all day! His clinic is top-tier too, easily a five-star experience. He’s moved to his new office at 45 Reisner's St.

Edward Bailey6, could you please tell me how much your husband paid for his porcelain veneers? I desperately need to know. You can just shoot me a private message, thanks so much! 🙂

Nah, he didn't do them—and since you're a new patient, I haven't got a clue what the price is. Your best bet is just to call and ask, or maybe shoot them an email...
