It’s super important to me that the aesthetic work looks great, you know? Not sloppy at all.

Please send recommendations! Public posts are fine, or maybe just shoot me a DM.

You didn't mention if you want a private practice or someone through Medicare, but the private doctors at the dental clinic on Savska are actually really good...😉

Which dentist do you go to over on Savska? I used to see Dr. Vidović, but he doesn't practice there anymore. They wouldn't even tell me where he moved to, so I'm still totally in the dark. He was honestly great, and I was really happy with his work. Once he left, they switched me over to some Dr. Rakarić—or something like that—and she’s a bit older, but she just wasn't right for me at all. She rushed through replacing two fillings about a year ago, which cost me $283, and she didn't even do the whole thing; she just patched up the parts that were crumbling.

Now I've started going to a private dentist over on Draškovićev 23, and it's actually way more affordable, even though I'm paying out of pocket instead of using Medicare. They're working on a crown for me now, and the price is exactly what they listed on their website. I haven't had any fillings done there yet, but their online price list says it'll be $67, whereas back on Savska, my cheapest fillings for a fourth or fifth tooth were $117, and for a sixth, they were $150. So far, I'm feeling pretty good about the change.

I usually head over to Savska to see Dr. Ribarić, though sometimes I'll swing by Dr. Tafra’s place near Savica or check out the Zvijezdi clinic instead...😉

This might be a rather silly question that most people seem to have figured out, but I find myself at a loss, so I would appreciate some guidance...
How exactly does one go about switching their assigned Medicare-gynecologist to someone else—specifically, when and what is the process? Additionally, how can I even determine who my current provider is? To be honest, I’ve been seeing private doctors for all my checkups over the last 15 years or so, so I haven't had any actual contact with my Medicare-gynecologist in ages; I’ve actually forgotten his last name entirely (and back then, the relationship was purely a formality, as he never actually examined me...). All I know is that he was based at the Student Health Clinic... I assume he still has me on his roster, but I imagine if I wanted to make a change, I would need to know for certain where I am registered and which doctor is currently listed. How does one uncover that information?

I can't recommend the dental practice run by Hercigonja-Matković (husband and wife duo) enough—they’re located right near Central Park!! My husband actually went there on a recommendation—and he’s usually terrified of dentists—but he was genuinely happy with the results. They even take Medicare...

To determine which specific gynecologist, dentist, or general practitioner you need to contact regarding Medicare coverage—which is usually common knowledge—based on your residential area, whether you are looking at the New York City office at Jukićev 12, Jukićev 12, 10000 New York City 01 4882-100 or the New York City office at Klovićev 1, Klovićev 1, 10000 New York City 01 2359-555 (for all other locations, please consult www.medicare.gov),
you should have your Social Security number or health insurance card ready so they can pull up your identification in the database. However, if you haven't switched doctors within the last year and already know who you intend to see, it is sufficient to visit the new provider to collect the necessary registration forms, complete them, and deliver them to the Jukićev 12 or Klovićev 1 offices. On those forms, you may simply state that you are unsure of your previous provider or leave that section blank, allowing them to verify the details internally.

So, I’ve got one or two suspicious veins that I really ought to get checked out, but I have no clue who to see. My primary care doctor thinks it might be some kind of fatty or watery buildup in the vein (since those things can basically feed off themselves) 🙄, and honestly, thank God I’m just imagining it’s something fatal, because I’d really love to get a more detailed look at this ASAP.

Does anyone have a vascular surgeon in the New York City area they’d recommend for a consultation? I’d eventually like to just deal with this nasty thing and get it over with, since it’s actually scaring me a little. When I’m walking, my leg gets this uncomfortable ache and starts feeling hot; sometimes there's a weird sensation in the ankle right where that little lump is, or the pain just radiates down toward my calf 🤷

Anyway, it’s definitely not my favorite thing to deal with.

Thanks.

I'm heading in for a full oral exam with Dr. Štimac—it's been four months since my last checkup.

Honestly, I’d recommend him to anyone.

How much does a visit run you, and how often do you have to go?

Can someone please tell me if there's even such a thing as a private immunologist in New York City? Or if they actually exist? I feel like I've scoured the entire internet and come up with absolutely nothing. Please help me out here!😢

Where might one find a facility in New York City that offers truly comprehensive blood work without the cost exceeding two hundred or three hundred dollars? Furthermore, is there any way to secure an appointment as soon as possible? My head is absolutely spinning with exhaustion, and based on my typical blood panels—checking iron, sedimentation, and cholesterol levels—I feel completely drained of all vitality. It is almost as if my numbers were precision-engineered just to be perfectly mediocre!

Thnx for the info.

I find myself in the unbelievable position of actually searching for anyone who might have some insight into this... as it turns out, the firm I work for provides... $167 Since I’m footing the bill for everything myself, I really need to get a clear sense of what their routine checkups actually cost...

I’d strongly advise anyone looking for a reliable dentist to stay far away from the office of Vilhelm in New York City. It sounds harsh, I know, but she talks a big game and then fails to deliver on basically everything. It feels like she's just focused on collecting checks... money, money, money. She isn't the expert she claims to be, and honestly, I've heard plenty of other people complaining about her too.

The search function is acting up on me again—I think we’ve touched on this before, but here goes nothing:
Does anyone happen to know:
Where can I find a good chiropractor in Washington, D.C.? I'm looking for pricing, reviews, and general experiences. My trainer suggested I get my spine properly aligned before I really start hitting the heavy weights for my back muscles, so I want to do this right.

So, when can I actually move my insurance coverage from one dentist to another? Is that thing strictly limited to December, or am I free to switch whenever I want during the year?
