Does anyone happen to know a solid dentist or a good GP around the Gajnica Co-op or Sparrow Co-op areas? I'm looking for some recommendations if you've got any!

We once took our daughter, who was born with a shorter right leg, to see Dr. Anticevic at Salat because we heard he was a top specialist, but honestly, we weren't particularly impressed with the experience. I just want to tell any parents facing similar issues to seek out more than just one opinion. We eventually heard great things about an orthopedic hospital in Savannah, and it turned out to be the right call. Instead of just a single checkup, they have a medical board consisting of two or three doctors who all provide their own assessments. I don't want to start a whole new thread, but for anyone in need of orthopedic shoes, I highly recommend Valek on Ilicic St. Their selection is actually stylish and modern, and the atmosphere there is very pleasant.

Hello, fellow community members!
I recently moved over to the Dugava area and need to find a new primary care physician at the local health clinic here in Dugava. I would truly appreciate any recommendations you might have—specifically regarding doctors you’ve had great experiences with (or perhaps avoided!)—and whether it’s possible to schedule appointments over the phone at any particular office. A neighbor mentioned that a certain Dr. Wolf is supposedly quite good—has anyone here actually seen him? Thank you all so much in advance for your help! 🙏

Can someone please recommend a good GP I can switch to through my insurance? Ideally, I'd love someone located near downtown 🙂

Also, I need a solid ENT recommendation for an exam. I don't mind going to a private specialist if they're good 🙂

If anyone has any leads or suggestions for me, let me know 😉

I'm looking for some insight here—does anyone actually have firsthand experience dealing with Dr. Zgombic over at Dentorium in San Francisco?

Anyone know where Smith's private clinic is? Need an ortho from the new hospital but the wait times are brutal.

I just caught wind of some news—it looks like Dr. Antičević has opened up his own private practice. Honestly, I’m crossing my fingers that he’s gained a bit more wisdom and experience since we last crossed paths! As for whether I’d recommend him... well, I can't say I would, mostly because my own experiences weren't exactly stellar. In fact, he’s actually one of the main reasons I don't particularly care for Šalat as a healthcare provider. Regarding the facility in Savannah, I’ve heard plenty of glowing reviews, but then again, I've heard some pretty grim stories too. At the end of the day, making these medical decisions is incredibly tough—there are so many moving parts to consider, and sometimes, you just need a little bit of luck on your side. Personally, luck hasn't been my best friend; I've already gone through three surgeries and I'm currently bracing myself for the next one—who knows how many more are coming down the line? My best advice? Please, think this through carefully. Seek out as many different opinions as possible. Thank God we live in an era where getting a second or third opinion is actually doable, even if you have to shell out some cash for a consultation—it is absolutely worth it. The most important thing is this: get more perspectives... and GOOD LUCK!!!!!

Hey there 🙂

Does anyone happen to know where the best spot in Chicago is to get my hormone levels checked out? I’ve never actually done this before, so I’m a bit lost on whether I should be looking at a gynecologist or if I need to find an endocrinologist or something else entirely.
Thanks

I’m on the hunt for a new primary care doctor through my insurance provider. I really just want someone who’s a decent human being—someone polite, attentive, and willing to actually listen. It’s important to me that they take symptoms seriously instead of just brushing them off. My sister had this previous doctor who would basically tell her every single time she showed up with an issue that it was "just a virus" and would clear itself up. That's definitely not what I'm looking for.
If anyone happens to know a great physician, please drop their name and phone number if you have it. I’d love to give them a call and see if they’re currently accepting new patients.
Thanks so much in advance!

I’ve been seeing Dr. Brajenović over at the Brooklyn health center since I was just a kid in elementary school... she’s truly a wonderful woman.

Does anyone happen to know where the best place in New York City is to get my hormone levels tested? I’ve never had to go through this before, so I’m a bit lost as to whether I should be looking at a gynecologist or perhaps an endocrinologist instead.
Thanks.

I’ve always gone through Mount Sinai; the results usually take about a month to come back. Since I was checking my reproductive hormones, I needed a referral from my OB-GYN. If you happen to have a referral from a dermatologist or an endocrinologist, though, you can just head over with a note from your primary care physician.

You could also try the clinic in Chelsea for a full hormonal panel, whereas the one on Broadway only handles reproductive ones.

I don't want to start a whole new thread just to ask this, so I'll just drop it here... My primary care doctor suggested I see a physiatrist because my spine is starting to curve into an S-shape. Has anyone here actually dealt with a physiatrist before? I've never been to one. I'm wondering what kind of exercises they usually prescribe or what the typical treatment plan looks like. Thanks in advance for sharing your experience.😉

Hey there. I need an orthodontist who can squeeze me in ASAP. I’m looking for someone in Brooklyn, and I heard the specialists over at the University of Pennsylvania dental clinic are actually decent. If anyone knows a specific doctor there—name and number would be great. Thanks much. 😉

Could anyone recommend a solid dentist in Miami?
Is it actually worth seeing a private specialist? Also, what’s the price gap like between someone covered by Blue Cross and a private practice?
I really want my teeth done right—honestly, I don't mind the cost—but I just need to know how much cash to bring so I'm not caught off guard...
thanks!

Is it worth going to a private practice instead? How big is the price gap between using my insurance through Blue Cross and just paying out of pocket?
I really want my teeth fixed right, so I don't care about the cost, I just need to know how much cash to bring so I know what to expect...

I think I'm in the right place here🤷
Hey guys, so I really need to get this mole removed. Where can I actually go to get this done right? Like, should I be looking at a specific hospital system or does anyone know a solid private specialist who handles this kind of thing? Honestly, if anyone has some actual, real-world info, I’d be super grateful 🙏🙏

I was wondering if I could get some advice on picking a gynecologist. Up until now, I’ve just been seeing someone in private practice, but I need to get some more extensive testing done soon. It’s getting way too expensive to keep doing everything privately, so I really need to find a doctor covered by insurance. Does anyone have recommendations on where I should go? Honestly, any major medical center would work for me—I don't really care about the location, as long as it isn't somewhere out in the middle of nowhere like Philly or something like that.🙂
Also, what’s the actual procedure for that? Do I just show up and sign up, or is there more to it?

I’m on the hunt for an amazing private gynecologist around Brooklyn or even just somewhere in the Chicago area. I really need someone who actually knows their stuff but isn't going to make me feel like I'm being interrogated or judged. My mom has this old doctor she sees, and honestly, she comes out of those appointments looking absolutely traumatized. I want someone who won't mind if I ask a million questions and will actually provide solid diagnostics without making me feel like a nuisance. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks!

Dr. Franulović is excellent. He's with the Community Health Center, and his office is right on Broadway. Responsible, kind, gentle—really a wonderful person. Only thing is, I'm not sure if he's still taking new patients; I know his schedule is always packed. 🤷

I’m kind of stuck trying to pick an aesthetic surgeon and could use some input. I’m torn between Maria Zembelli and Nin Vidas. Any advice would be huge 😲
