😁

it’s basically that whole "chicken or the egg" dilemma, isn't it?
you could go see the most top-tier surgeon in the country and still walk out feeling unsatisfied.
I took a gamble myself 🙄

Does anyone in Des Moines know a good psychologist who isn't just some overpriced private practiceer?

How exactly does one go about switching their assigned gynecologist over to someone else? And more importantly, how do I even find out who my current one is? To be honest, I've been seeing private doctors for the last 15 years or so, so I haven't had any contact with my Medicare gynecologist in ages. I've actually forgotten his last name entirely—back then, I was basically just registered on paper without ever being seen. I just remember he was at the Student health center... I assume I'm still on his patient list, but if I want to change doctors, I suppose I need to know exactly where I'm currently registered and who it is. How can I check that?

Just head down to the Social Security office and ask.

I guess Dr. Ignatovski was the first real authority in America that everyone actually learned from. Maybe he was just the best.

I need someone who actually knows their stuff but isn't a nightmare to deal with. My mother has this doctor who basically mashes her up during exams, and I don't want that. I want someone willing to actually answer my questions and provide decent diagnostics. Any ideas? Thanks.

Maybe take a day off and head out toward Des Moines. There’s an exceptional doctor there, Brijačak, who works privately at the Focus clinic.

Does anyone happen to know why Dr. Brijačak isn't seeing patients in the clinic over in Des Moines anymore?

Hello. I am looking for an ENT specialist in Seattle. Does anyone here have any personal recommendations or experiences to share? Additionally, if anyone could provide insight regarding typical consultation fees at private clinics, I would appreciate it. Thanks.

I am looking for an ENT specialist in Seattle. I am open to using outpatient clinics, though I would appreciate knowing the typical cost of a consultation if I go that route.🙂 I have been dealing with chronic sinus issues for years now, so I am in need of a professional opinion.

I’ve been in for blood sugar tests twice now. I’m based out of Seattle, by the way. Did all those tests during my pregnancy. The staff was incredibly attentive and sweet. Seriously wonderful. Btw, the cost was about $27. Honestly, it doesn't even matter what kind of testing you're getting done—they’re just genuinely nice people. No clue about their other pricing.

I actually followed my pregnancy through their services... they are incredibly professional and genuinely kind people, though I will say they can be a bit pricey! 🙂

The biggest perk is definitely the convenience; you can get absolutely everything done under one roof, which is just wonderful. Everything is organized so seamlessly that you basically just move from one exam room to the next, seeing specialist after specialist, and before you know it, you’re all set. 👍

Now, I shouldn't claim this as my own personal experience since I haven't gone in for a full checkup myself, but I’ve always noticed huge crowds of people there getting exactly that done.
As far as the cost goes—the comprehensive package is likely much more affordable than if you were out paying for every single individual test on your own.

Since I want to be helpful, I can give you an idea of the prices for what I know!
- OBGYN exam + Pap smear + ultrasound - $233
- Complete blood count and biochemistry - $100
- Urinalysis + sediment test - $17
- I believe the specialist physician consultation is - $83

The routine checkup at Quote : Sunny Flower:

Copied from their email:

THE STANDARD PHYSICAL EXAM COVERS THE FOLLOWING:

1. Internal medicine consultation

2. EKG

3. Abdominal ultrasound

4. Lab work: CBC, glucose, urea, creatinine, bilirubin, urate, CRP, total protein,

cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides, AST, ALT, GGT, ALP, potassium, sodium, calcium, and urinalysis

5. Chest X-ray (if necessary)

6. Gynecological exam + Pap smear + ultrasound

7. Prostate ultrasound and PSA (for men over 40)

8. Breast ultrasound (for women up to 40)

9. Mammogram (for women over 40)

Price for the exam:

Men $333

Women $400

As for the actual vibe there, they’re actually polite, friendly, and willing to answer questions—unlike about 90% of the doctors you run into at our public hospitals—and I managed to breeze through the whole thing in maybe two to two and a half hours.

You have to call ahead to book an appointment.

And if I may just say one more thing, www.google.com is your best friend...😉

I’m on the hunt for a solid orthodontist in Miami... any recommendations? I've heard just about everything from people, but the most praise seems to go toward Dr. Trogrlić. Has anyone actually been to see him? What kind of pricing should I expect?

My wife actually had her vein punctured while they were drawing blood... and then I had one doctor basically snap at me, asking why I was even bothering to show up when my lab results were perfectly fine 😕 — though, let’s be real... those receptionists at the billing office who charge you for everything are always incredibly polite about it, right? They certainly don't hesitate to hit you with a massive bill. It's just wonderful how our "free" public healthcare providers operate 👍

I figured I’d weigh in and share my own experience here.
I went to their facility in Washington, D.C., near Central Park for a routine checkup, and honestly, I wasn't impressed by anything I saw or felt during the visit.
The only redeeming quality is how fast everything moves; the women working the front desks are incredibly polite.
However, the whole thing made me feel like just another product moving along a conveyor belt—the priority was clearly speed and getting through the motions as quickly as possible. The doctors' approach was completely off; they don't treat you like a patient, but rather like a client they need to extract money from as fast as they can. Every single consultation lasted maybe three seconds—there’s no actual dialogue. They just bark out what they see on your charts while they're examining you, and that's it.
What truly repulsed me, though, was the gynecologist. She pulled on her exam gloves, and while I was sitting there waiting on that infamous exam table, she used those exact same gloved hands to grab a door handle, open the door, and call over the nurse... I honestly couldn't believe 😲
There were several other moments that left a bad taste in my mouth, so I've decided I won't be returning to this clinic ever again. This was my first and definitely my last time.
That’s just my personal take on it, though—take it or leave it!
Look, we all have our fair share of bad experiences with doctors at local health centers or major hospitals, but frankly, I wouldn't trade those professionals for anyone working at this particular clinic.
After this ordeal, I appreciate them even more! 🙏

I had my checkup in Washington, D.C., near Central Park... the staff at the front desk were incredibly pleasant, and the nurses were just as lovely...

Regarding the doctors—the specialist performing my ultrasound was wonderful; she was genuinely kind and took the time to answer every single one of my questions. However, the gynecologist? Good grief... she was absolutely miserable. She was grumpy, quite rough during the exam and the Pap smear (heaven help my poor gynecologist!), and when I tried to ask anything, her answers were incredibly curt—it felt like pulling teeth just to get a straight response. And, one more thing... personally, I felt quite uncomfortable. During the examination, the nurse kept walking in and out, leaving the door wide open several times. No one actually saw anything, but it made me feel extremely uneasy... 😠
The internist was also bizarrely strange—a total freak, really! He didn't make eye contact with me even once. He either stared at the floor or glued his eyes to the computer, remaining silent the entire time except to mutter, "Strip down." Once I did, he looked visibly awkward... fidgeting and staring at the ground... truly unsettling. 🤷
To top it all off, he told me I was overweight and needed to go on a diet and monitor my cholesterol... implying that if I don't lose weight, I'll have to start medication...
Yet, my bad and total cholesterol levels aren't even above the threshold. I've been monitoring them; they dropped slightly, then stayed about the same... I haven't taken any additional medication... I won't be returning there unless it becomes an absolute emergency to get some tests done... but that’s that.

I'm looking for a gynecologist in the Newark area—ideally someone at a hospital or clinic rather than a private practice.

Can I get a quick reality check from anyone else who’s actually stepped foot in this dental clinic? I’m looking for some honest feedback because—and I hate to say it—my experience was absolute trash.
My biggest gripe? Their priorities are completely backwards. And honestly, once you realize they care more about everything *except* the actual patient, their level of expertise just goes right down the drain. It's a mess.

What kind of priorities are we talking about here? As for skill level, I think both Anić and Šlaj are top-tier pros, provided you actually ended up seeing one of them.

I just finished my checkup and everything went 👍, especially since I finally found a gynecologist I actually like. My first experience was with this incredibly cold woman, but this time—following a recommendation—I booked an appointment with Dr. Jendriš, and I haven't looked back since.
They aren't cheap, that’s a fact 👎, but once you've been seen by Eva, everyone else feels so superficial and uncomfortable that I can't bring myself to go anywhere else 🤷, particularly after dealing with those socialized "butchers" before.

And yeah, Harold Hall3: the guy expressed himself perfectly fine, because a diet is a nutritional regimen, not starvation. That’s just the difference between the two in common American slang 😁
