Can anyone recommend a REALLY GOOD private gynecologist in Chicago who can see a patient IMMEDIATELY and actually has a few minutes to sit down and chat about all my questions?

I managed to get an appointment at Harni Clinic just two days after calling them on Wednesday—I was actually there by Friday. Honestly, the gynecologists there are wonderful; you can ask them absolutely anything and they won't judge.

Hey everyone!
Can someone please make sense of this whole thing where a dentist is technically private but you're still seeing them through Medicare?
From what I can gather, there’s definitely some out-of-pocket stuff involved here.
Like, what exactly are they allowed to charge extra for?
I'm asking because I recently switched over to one of these dentists—thinking everything would be totally free, obviously—and then they started listing things off like "tooth extraction $133," "fillings $83," and so on...
Before this, I was seeing a provider at my local community health clinic, and honestly, I never had to shell out a single cent.
I was under the impression that Medicare covered absolutely everything, but man, did I get that wrong.
Is it actually possible for me to switch back to someone where everything is fully covered by Medicare?
I am seriously lost here!
Help plz!!!

Thanks...

I have to go in today to fix a bottom tooth—one of those premolars, I think—because I noticed some decay and it’s actually starting to ache a bit.
Good luck to everyone...😍

Hey... I'll just tell you that I've cycled through a mountain of dentists before finding Dr. Frntic, but this guy is hands down, far and away the best... For the first time in my life, I’m actually heading to the dentist feeling totally relaxed and carefree, because I know there won't be any pain...

I know this sounds like a rookie question, but I just moved out on my own here in Chicago and I'm trying to figure things out. Is there a private clinic nearby where I can get a routine checkup or blood work done? I'm living over in the Trešnjevka area...

Hey there... just wanted to say I've cycled through a whole mountain of dentists before finding Dr. Frntic—seriously, he's hands down the best out there. For the first time ever, I actually walked into a dentist's office feeling totally chill and stress-free, mostly because I knew there wouldn't be any pain...

I've been seeing Dr. Frntic too! So, basically, two of my upper teeth—my central and lateral incisors—just snapped, so I went to see him. He fixed everything up in no time without any issues, pain, or drama at all. Honestly, I'm super stoked with the service—those new teeth look so natural you can't even tell they aren't real! And considering how good the quality is, I don't think they were even that pricey. I've got nothing but praise for Dr. Frntic and his work—I wouldn't trust anyone else with my smile now.
Cheers!

Can anyone recommend a gynecologist in West Chicago? Looking specifically around Trešnjevka, Prečko, Malešnica, or Španjsko.
Right now I'm seeing Dr. Bokic over in Prečko and she's great, but I'm waiting about two months just for an exam. Since I'm planning on having a baby soon, that doesn't feel like the best timing.
Thanks

Hello everyone!
So, here is my situation... I’ve cracked a front tooth, 😢 about a quarter of it is gone. The tooth has been lacking a nerve for quite some time, and just six months ago, I had it whitened specifically because the old filling was looking dark. Now, from a minor bump, it has finally snapped.
What should my next move be? How can I resolve this as quickly as possible? Honestly, I feel so self-conscious walking around like this. 😢
At a clinic near downtown, they suggested two options—a ceramic crown or some other alternative. However, since I am turning 22 tomorrow (and what a way to celebrate 🙄), nothing is covered by my insurance, so the cost there isn't any cheaper than going to a private dentist anyway ($567 a ceramic one would take them two weeks to make).
Does ANYONE know a dentist who can handle this in the SHORTEST TIME POSSIBLE??? 🙏🙏🙏

Like I mentioned before, you should totally call Dr. Frntic—he’ll really try to work with you on this, I’d recommend him to anyone. Let me see, I think I have his number somewhere... 0913874200

Every single one of these "specialists" is a total fraud. You've got government doctors who are either clueless or just lazy, and then you have the private clinics that exist solely to bleed you dry—they aren't interested in curing you quickly, they're interested in keeping you coming back for more.

Greetings to everyone,
I am looking for some solid recommendations for a reliable laboratory where the work is thorough and the pricing won't break the bank, specifically in the Solin/Split area or somewhere nearby. To be precise, I need to have some thyroid blood tests done. Feel free to send me a private message if you have a suggestion. Thanks!

Hello there! 😁

I'm curious if anyone here might have some insight regarding chin surgery. Does anyone know if this is commonly performed in the States (perhaps by Dr. Glumicic??), what the typical price range looks like, which surgeon is considered top-tier, and so on?

To be clear, I don't have any issues with jaw functionality or anything of that nature; I'm looking into this purely for aesthetic reasons. 😁

Specifically, I'm thinking of something along these lines >> http://www.locateadoc.com/pictures/y...lip-22148.html

Thanks so much in advance for any information you can share. 🤣 🙂

Thanks!

If you're looking for someone covered by Medicare, honestly, it's a bit of a struggle. 👎 There are already a few threads over in the Women's Health section discussing gynecologists—both private practice and those covered by insurance. I suspect you'll be facing a wait of at least a month regardless of who you choose. There is one doctor in the Španjsko area—I believe his name is Čolak—where you pay a fee (though it's less than private specialists), which helps you get seen sooner and speeds things along; however, I've heard quite a few negative things about him because he can be rather rude—apparently making inappropriate comments to young women regarding their appearance and such. Personally? I wouldn't go near him even if my life depended on it! Instead of seeing him, I signed up with Dr. Racko over on Runjaninova, though the wait there can stretch to four months—so I usually just opt for private doctors, using my insurance referrals whenever I can to squeeze through somehow. Just in case, maybe ask in the Women's Health thread, but I wouldn't hold my breath for a miracle. Most of them are somewhat overworked, and compared to others, Dr. Bokic sounds like a great find if you're happy with her. If I were in your shoes—and since you mentioned you actually like her—I would probably stick with your current doctor and just make sure to book your appointments well in advance. Or, if it's within your means, perhaps see a private specialist for the quick check-ups, while still using your primary doctor's referrals for any major tests or labs, wouldn't that be the best way to save some money?

So, I'm looking for a private clinic in Chicago where I can get a quick urology checkup. I'm pretty sure I've picked up some HPV (a wart on my genitals) and I want to get it removed right then and there... Also, if anyone knows roughly how much that would cost and how long the whole process takes, let me know, because I really want to get this sorted ASAP. Thanks for the help!

Why don't you just head over to your own doctor to grab a referral, then hit up the urology department at a standard hospital?

Check out Dr. Slavko Delladio over in the Kursanc area—you should be able to find his number online pretty easily.

Hi everyone!

I’m a huge fan of all the different discussions on this forum, which is why I just stumbled upon this thread about medical treatments and advice.

I’m looking for an urgent recommendation for a DERMATOLOGIST to deal with some (massive) WARTS on my foot that have spread into several smaller ones over the years. I really need to get them cryo-frozen/burned off with nitrogen sometime this week (starting June 15th), ideally somewhere in the coastal areas like Umarg or near Rijeka. Just two weeks ago, I saw a private specialist in Split and paid $67 to burn off six of them; the whole thing was wrapped up in about 15-20 minutes.

Has anyone else dealt with something similar? Removing warts isn't exactly easy, so I want to make sure this is handled by someone truly skilled, even if the procedure itself seems pretty straightforward.

Thanks so much in advance for your help and for taking the time to read this!

Does anyone happen to have any insights or first-hand experiences regarding Dr. Vica Grabovac out in Split, or perhaps Dr. Branko Glusac over in Makarska? I’m looking for some reliable information!
And likewise, if there happens to be anyone out there who has actually tackled this before, would you be so kind as to share some sage advice? I’d truly appreciate any pointers you might have!
