Sophia Perez79 said:I noticed someone here keeps recommending Dubravka from the Jefferson clinic! I honestly think he’s just running his own advertisement here.
I’ve been one of his patients for a few years now, and I can pretty much guarantee the guy is irresponsible. He seems more focused on what he can bill than actually taking care of people, even when using Medicare.
He’s already messed up several of my teeth. The reason I’m sitting here wide awake at 3:30 in the morning is because I went to see him yesterday to get a cavity fixed, and he botched it again—I am dealing with unimaginable pain right now.
It happened once before, too. He left me suffering for three days, trying to convince me it was just "nerve pain," until everything turned purple and swollen. My tooth was practically falling out and I was pale as a ghost. HE WAS JUST TOO LAZY TO PROPERLY OPEN THE TOOTH AND SEE WHERE HE SCREWED UP!!!
And IT IS HAPPENING AGAIN TONIGHT!
Also, he refuses to do cleanings, even though that's supposed to be mandatory under the law. He ground down my wisdom tooth just so he could charge me for a crown. I mean, who even puts a crown on a wisdom tooth???
LONG STORY SHORT: DO NOT GO TO DUBRAVKA ON JEFFERSON, no matter what. You'll end up staying up all night just like me. I’ve gone through an entire box of painkillers tonight! Literally every hour because it's unbearable!!!
I don't really want to comment on another doctor's work, but I should point out that Medicare only covers about 20% of dental services. Basically, dentists have to provide exactly what Medicare approves—which usually means outdated materials and old-school methods—and nothing else. So, this girl might be looking ahead at what's coming for everyone. Last year, the government cut medical reimbursements by about 30%, which forced them to start charging for certain services just to stay afloat (that's why they were complaining, since their income took such a hit). They didn't touch dentistry or pediatrics back then, but they're coming for the dentists next year. It's pretty much certain that the "dental coverage basket" is going to shrink even more. Apparently, they're planning extensive cuts to reimbursement rates.
Anyway, if your tooth still hurts, come back to this thread. 😉
