So, I trashed my shoulder during a game. Got an MRI done and turns out I've got a rupture in the lateral third of the tendon. I'm trying to figure out who the best surgeon is around here for this kind of thing. I heard Dr. Chicha does private work, but he’s asking $0.00 for the surgery and I am definitely not sitting on that kind of cash. Does anyone know a solid doctor at the local hospitals who can fix this without screwing it up? Who's actually the best?

Does anyone have a solid dentist recommendation in NYC?
My last dentist completely botched my tooth. She kept insisting it was just some gum inflammation, but when I went to the ER, they told me the tooth was actually a total loss. To make matters worse, I’d been seeing her for three years for this specific pain, and she never once ordered an X-ray or even tried to look inside the tooth. Honestly, I'm seriously considering filing a lawsuit. Long story short, whatever you do, stay far away from Vlasta Glamuzina.

I know a great one, but they’re based over in Newark. Honestly, it’s totally worth the trek out from Chicago. I think they used to practice in NYC, too. If you want their number, just shoot me a PM.

I’m actually pretty interested in this too, mostly because I’ve dealt with multiple shoulder dislocations myself. To be honest, I have no clue which specific ligament is the problem since I’ve just been popping my shoulder back into place on my own instead of seeing a doctor—which probably wasn't the smartest move. Anyway, the main issue is that it keeps slipping down, like below the socket, and it’s happened maybe 15 to 20 times now. Does anyone know how long the recovery period is after an operation like that? And what does the actual healing process look like? I mean, am I looking at being stuck in a cast, or is it more about just having to rest the arm?

Also, would Medicare cover a procedure like this?

Hey everyone,
Lately, my mom hasn't been doing so great. She’s been retired for a while now—just hit 60 recently—and she basically spends her entire day just hanging around the house.

She’s become incredibly high-strung lately; constantly cleaning, frantically tidying up everything in sight (she doesn't even have any hobbies or anything to keep her busy), and whenever she gets the chance, she’s picking fights with the rest of us.

Things really boiled over this week, and it ended with her blood pressure spiking—which was actually diagnosed as stress-induced—some bleeding issues, and an emergency room visit.

I’d love some advice on how to handle this because she’s just completely given up on herself. Does anyone know a good psychiatrist who could at least sit down and talk to her or maybe put her on some kind of therapy? Also, does anyone happen to know what the hourly rate usually looks like for sessions?

Has anyone else dealt with something similar? It would mean a lot if you could help me out.
Thanks in advance 🙂

If you happen to be in NYC, my dentist is absolutely wonderful!

I highly recommend Dr. Ivan Miletić, a dentist located in the Chicago-Naperville area.
His website can be found at www.dental-miletic.com
I recently had a metal-free crown done there, and I must say, I am truly delighted with the aesthetic results, the quality of service, and the lovely atmosphere of the office.

Aaron Wood7 said:Greetings to everyone,
lately, my mother hasn't been feeling herself at all. She has been retired for some time now, having recently turned 60, and she spends her entire day just staying at home.

Recently, she has become incredibly nervous; she is constantly cleaning or tidying up frantically—though she doesn't actually have any hobbies to occupy her—and whenever possible, she finds something to pick a fight about with the rest of the family.

Things have escalated significantly over the last few days, resulting in high blood pressure (it was diagnosed as stress-induced), bleeding, and an eventual trip to the emergency room.

I would be so grateful if anyone could offer some advice on how to handle this, as she seems completely overwhelmed by it all. Does anyone have a recommendation for a good psychiatrist who might be able to talk with her or perhaps prescribe some therapy? Also, does anyone happen to know what the typical hourly rate is for such consultations?

Has anyone else gone through something similar? Your insights would truly mean the world to me.
Thank you in advance🙂

Unfortunately, I don't know offhand, but I will certainly look into options in NYC for you if I can find someone reliable or get a sense of the pricing.
If I manage to find anything useful, I will post it here.
Best of luck.

Chloe Thompson29 said:Could someone please lend me a hand? I find myself in need of some guidance...
Since I am originally from Canada and don't have American insurance coverage, I was wondering if it would be possible to see a dermatologist at the clinic in the neighborhood as a private patient?
Does anyone have a recommendation for a reliable dermatologist in NYC? I've been struggling with a persistent rash on my décolletage, and unfortunately, the specialists here in Canada haven't been able to resolve it for me. Additionally, has anyone here had any firsthand experience with the Phoenix clinic?
Thank you so much!

Is there anything more rewarding than finally finding a private dermatologist who truly understands your needs? I must say, my own specialist is absolutely wonderful!
Is it possible that seeking care through a private practice might be more efficient? I believe the cost for a consultation typically hovers around that mark. $83 I find myself feeling quite uncertain about this decision, primarily because it was thanks to her guidance that I was able to resolve all of my previous concerns.
She truly is wonderful, isn't she?

Rachel Davis said:Does anyone have a recommendation for a reliable dermatologist in San Diego? I previously visited Dr. Gverica and another woman, I believe her name is Diana, but they didn't quite meet my expectations. I have been dealing with acne issues—actually, things are wonderful right now after struggling for seven years—because I found an amazing dermatologist in Charleston whom I trust implicitly. However, I need monthly facial cleanings, which isn't feasible since I can't make the trip to Charleston that often, so I would prefer to find someone in San Diego. Is there someone trustworthy out there? I truly don't want to jeopardize all the hard work I've put in over these last seven years.

Oh,
my friend went to see someone at the main General Hospital and she had a wonderful experience
I am not sure of the name, but I will ask her; she isn't in the US at the moment, so I will let you know once I find out
👍

If you happen to be looking for someone in NYC, please take a look at my previous post

I used to struggle with acne myself, and while the battle continues, my skin looks a hundred times better now, even if the occasional breakout appears
Why not ask your own dermatologist if they recommend a specific home care routine?
For instance, perhaps exfoliating two or three times a week or using clay masks? (Afrodita makes an excellent one for acne-prone skin that my dermatologist actually uses)

As for my own home care, I currently use the entire acne line from Afrodita and I am absolutely thrilled with it, though it wasn't specifically recommended by my doctor
However, in addition to my home routine, I do go in for professional facial cleanings every month.

I actually used to go exclusively to the specialist on Heinzlova 39 about two years ago,
and they were quite wonderful,
but I am currently searching for someone new, especially since so many of my friends are offering their own suggestions lately; once I finally make a decision and give someone a try, I will certainly let you know.

Look, for everything you just described, you should probably let her doctor handle it. Ask them to write a prescription for
Sonalia tablets 50mg—it helps with calming down and boosting mood. Just one pill a day will settle her down and make her more cheerful. She might sleep an extra hour or so at first, but she'll get over that. Honestly, psychiatrists don't do much anyway. And she needs to get out of the house if she's mobile enough; if nothing else, she should just go sit in a park where there are people around.😉

Hey Maria, how much did you end up shelling out for those braces? I’m looking to get mine done too, but I’m having a hard time picking a dentist I can actually trust. I also need some gum grafting done, so I might as well just bundle everything together and get it all handled at once.

brisklynx92 said:I’m looking for some recommendations—ideally from someone who has actually been there—for a solid physiatrist in Washington, D.C.
It’s a pretty nasty fracture in my left lower leg involving a displacement (a trimalleolar fracture, to be specific), so the rehab process is going to require a lot of specialized expertise and serious effort.
I'm also open to suggestions for rehab centers, wellness retreats, hospitals, or private clinics that offer high-quality programs tailored to this kind of injury.
Thanks in advance.

The specialists over at the Mayo Clinic are excellent, both the physiatrists and the orthopedic surgeons.

You can get all of that handled over in Chicago at a private practice run by Dr. Renata Ostojić. She’s the lead there, and she has four other doctors on staff. Their work is top-tier, honestly. It’s going to be expensive... but the results will be perfect. Just go in for a consultation and some advice first; they don't charge for that.😍😍😍😍😉😉:m ig:
