Your best bet is probably just checking the White Pages or a city directory like Zig-Zag; you should be able to find some listings there to call. From what I hear, Jordan is quite good—I think they have an office over on Main Street.

I've tried searching through directories, but it's impossible to find a psychiatrist who specializes in specific areas. There’s zero info on their specializations, and I even went to a private practitioner who claimed he could treat me, but he didn't even seem to know what OCD actually was.

...why not just pull up a directory and start naming every psychiatrist on the list? Maybe you can figure out which one actually "specializes" in OCD by process of elimination...

Or, you could give the Crisis Management Center over at Rib a call and ask them for a recommendation...

Why not give the Mayo Clinic a call? They really do have some of the finest specialists out there. Plus, their scheduling for therapy sessions is actually quite reasonable. Once you finally settle in with your own therapist, they’ll have a dedicated slot held just for you, and you can spend as much time as necessary—at least, that’s my understanding of how it works, but you should certainly check for yourself. Just give them a ring and ask; I'm certain you'll find their number right in any standard directory.

First, I had this private dentist—super polite, everything seemed perfect—who absolutely trashed my tooth. When I called him back a few days later because things felt off, he basically told me I was overreacting and it was just a normal reaction. Fast forward: I ended up with a massive infection.
