Justin Taylor said:I hear you... and you aren't arguing out of caution. There is a much higher probability that you'll run into some idiot looking for a fight over this than finding someone who will actually respect your perspective.😎

That is precisely why I advocate for discussion. Engaging in debate does not inherently necessitate physical violence. People do not engage in brawls simply because of differing tastes.😁 😁 However, I am curious as to what kind of experiences have led you to believe someone would physically assault you just for having a different opinion. Perhaps you are simply surrounded by the wrong crowd?😉 😎

Justin Taylor said:Yeah, seriously... I get where you're coming from... it’s actually pretty hard to listen to a band that maybe messes up only two or three times during a three-hour set!!!
Give me a break... what kind of nonsense is that? Real bands mess up at least ten times, if not more... 🙂 🙂 😵 🤮 🤮 👎 👎

Eat shit.

Alex Martinez4 said:That’s my point—people debate things. Debating doesn't mean you have to start a fistfight over it. You don't throw punches just because someone has different taste. 😁 😁 I mean, seriously, what kind of life are you living where people actually try to fight you just for having an opinion? Maybe you're just hanging out with the wrong crowd? 😉 😎

Haha... the lone intellectual surrounded by barbarians... 😢

So, I'm sitting here having lunch—just some veggie rice—and I'm scrolling through The Daily Journal while I eat. I’m eating, reading, eating, reading, eating, reading... basically just going through the motions. Then, I finally hit the last page, see a photo of Steve Vai and Joe Satriani, and start skimming the caption. Turns out they're coming to Canada...
I was so stunned I nearly choked on my food. Like, seriously, I almost spat it across the room.

HALLELUJAH! THEY ARE FINALLY COMING!!🙏 🙏 😎

So, when are they arriving?

And is it just the two of them showing up? What’s the deal with Petrucci? Since he's out on tour, did they have to find a replacement?

Nah, it’s not going to be Petrucci-land.... it’ll be some other guy—can't remember his name, so I won't even bother naming him right now.... I'll check later and give you the exact details.... but we know someone is coming in July, likely after the 20th, so there's still plenty of time.🙂

I think I heard some rumors about them coming to Mexico City; .. and they say Fripp is part of the lineup too, but honestly... I'm not entirely sure.

I have to admit, that name is completely new to me. I wonder if he’s the same guy who jammed with Vai during that concert in Ljubljana a few years back—the one I ended up missing because of some total incompetence from a travel agency that was supposed to handle the trip?
The agent actually managed to convince me that the show had been postponed because they hadn't secured all the necessary permits for the performance.

In hindsight, I was an idiot for falling for such a ridiculous excuse. 🙂

I still don't quite get why they call the tour G3, to be honest.

Did I somehow miss something over the last year or two where they actually formed a band called G3?

I remember Steve Vai telling Bakić a few years back that he wanted to come to Chicago. Is it certain that he won't be making it here after all?

Please tell me you're joking... 😲 😎

G3 is basically just a side project—but man, it’s killer.🙏 It looks like a done deal that he’s coming to Ljubljana—even the local papers here are already reporting that our little country is finally landing massive shows like the G3 tour this July. So, no stress—you'll definitely get your chance to catch them without any major hassle.👍

Since they always roll out as a trio and everyone involved is a total guitar god—I mean, alongside Satriani-land and Vai, you’ve got legends like Eric Johnson and John Petrucci, and now even Robert Fripp joining the mix—the whole G3 name makes perfect sense.

Well, well, well... It’s actually really great to hear they finally pulled together what Vai (I know how much he wants this) has been hinting at for two or three years now. I honestly thought it would just stay limited to shows here in the States, but...

So, we're heading to Ljubljana. I'm still holding out hope that they might work something out for Chicago.

Oh, I am definitely going to that!

Man, G is basically like God to me. Like, the holy trinity of G's... three Gods... Gee... blah, blah, blah... I know he even had Malmsteen wrapped around his finger once...
