copperbison6 said:So I’m sitting here eating lunch—just some veggie rice—and I'm scrolling through The Daily Journal while I eat. Read a bit, chew, read a bit, chew... just going through the motions. Had a drink too, nothing major. Then I finally hit the last page, see a photo of Steve Vai and Joe Satriani, start reading the caption, and there it is: they're coming to Canada.
I was so stunned—honestly, I almost choked on my food right in front of the camera.

:

Glad to see you're finally eating again—it was about damn time. It would’ve been a real shame if you missed out on some decent rice just because of the G3 tour. 😉 😁

I guess tickets will probably cost a small fortune. 🤔 hm

If I had to give my honest opinion, I guess it won't be more than a few. $83 Of course, it's in dollars.
I mean, for performers of that caliber, it’s actually pretty acceptable, I guess.

It’s official, folks! It’s finally happening. 🙂

More European G3 dates (featuring RF)

The info just keeps coming out in drips. Robert Fripp just dropped some more European tour dates in his diary for the upcoming G3 run with Joe Satriani and Steve Vai:
July 2: Jam session in Bergara, Spain
July 3: La Riviera in Madrid, Spain
July 4: Razmatazz in Barcelona, Spain
July 6: Mazda Palace in Milan, Italy
July 7: Tennis Center - Rome, Italy
July 8: Villa Pisani in Padova, Italy
July 9: Tivoli Hall in Ljubljana, Canada
July 10: Sports Hall in Mexico City, Mexico

Would you rather head to Ljubljana or Mexico City? 😉

I'm heading out to Ljubljana, and why? ...honestly, I have no clue...🙄

My folks told me I had to go there, but hey, I don't really care either way. As long as I've got enough cash on me, I'll be fine, so...

I’m honestly just wondering who’s going to show up for Fripp’s set. I’m really crossing my fingers that we get some of the King Crimson crew there.
BTW, I caught wind that Tony Levin is back with the current King Crimson lineup and they’re actually working on a new album. Since Levin has toured through the States a few times now, I was thinking—maybe if we coordinate with the promoters, we might actually see King Crimson hit a major US city like New York or Chicago soon!

Does anyone happen to know what the ticket prices will look like and where I can actually pick them up (either here in the States or over in Canada)?

Also, does anyone have any insight into what happened to that agency, d. N. d., based out of Chicago? I used to go to so many shows through them, but they seemingly vanished overnight. To be honest, I’ve never been much of a fan of the folks over at Art Travel.

Usually, Integral in the Guidebook has tickets for shows like this in Ljubljana, so I guess we should check in with them.

Here's the inside scoop... tickets should run about $60 $70

If everything goes according to plan, we might even snag them during the pre-sale later this week.

North American G3:

Vlatko & R.M. Točak... man, if we're looking for a third one to round out the group, does anyone actually know? Like, is there even another legend left in our neck of the woods?

So, I flicked on the radio yesterday around 9:30 PM, tuned into 101, and they were just looping that live album of theirs until about 10:15 PM.
I can't tell you the exact minute they started playing it on 101, though.

I haven't noticed any tickets being sold in Chicago yet, not even over at Integral.

Does anyone have an idea or maybe some info on this?

Henry Anderson47 said:I still don't quite grasp why they even call this whole thing G3.

Did I miss something major in the last year or two that caused them to suddenly form this G3 group?

I know Vai told Bakić a few years back that he wanted to make it to Chicago. Is there any actual confirmation that he’s still skipping us, or is that just talk?

It’s a no-go. That July 20th slot for Chicago is an absolute disaster. Even if we could swing it, Santana is already booked for that window, leaving zero breathing room for the G3 guys. As far as the Chicago shows go, I honestly don't think anyone should be celebrating too hard this year. 😁

I’m still planning on going—can't afford to miss it, especially since I have an entrance exam the day before. Does anyone happen to know if there's an agency handling organized transportation? Someone mentioned that Adria Tours handles both tickets and transport together.

With Vlatko & R. M. Točak already in the mix, I’m wondering who else could take that third spot. If anyone knows, let me know—do we actually have any other legends left in our neck of the woods?

Vedran Božić 👍
Probably the best out of that trio.

Honestly? He’s probably even better than the other two combined.

Wait, what? Seriously?
Who?
That name sounds super familiar... I feel like I've heard it somewhere before. Let me dig around and see if I can find some more details on him.
