hm... I can't think of a fourth band starting with C... 😁

I've been getting into these early ones lately. It’s not necessarily my favorite genre, but it’s definitely up there right now. So tell me, expert, do you know where I can find some Converge's CDs? (Original copies, obviously—I don't need the feds knocking on my door, for god's sake).

I don't know a fourth band starting with C, but I know one starting with A—Agoraphobic Nosebleed (and they did that split with Converge, just like Coalesce did).

Scorpions... honestly, they’re the only legitimate metal band left in this world.

aaah: "rabies". nothing... just a sigh. looks like we still have some nostalgics hanging around here... 🙂

Then some old school thrash (Anthrax, Metallica, Testament...) and maybe Iron Maiden as a "guilty pleasure".

looks like someone actually beat Cody for the title of having the widest musical range on this forum... 😉

It’s always the same pattern with me. Once I find something I actually care about, I just lean in too hard. It builds up until it's overwhelming. 🙂

Like Discharge - Hear Nothing , see Nothing

My absolute favorite route has to be the one running from the outskirts straight through downtown
It’s such a clean, solid metal route—what people call the "twelve" line

Don't give me that. Look, when it comes to Symbol of Life... that's just how I have to look at it. 😁

What exactly counts as alternative metal?
I've never actually heard that term used before—any specific bands in mind?

...honestly, that trash is absolute garbage. It’s straight from hell, just pure crap... sorry for the language, but that's just how I feel about it. (just my two cents...)

It isn't "trash," it's T H R A S H! Seriously, I am getting so incredibly tired of correcting people on this, so please, for the love of everything holy, just learn the difference once and for all.

I have never actually heard of any thrashers worshipping Satan...

I mean, it’s not like they're all out there forming actual cults or anything, but let's be real—there's a massive amount of thrash bands out there with songs dedicated to the devil, like Slayer, Exodus, or Possessed...

Since this thread is already alive and kicking, I figured I’d jump in and see if anyone here has checked out Metallica lately? What’s the verdict? I haven't really dug into their earliest stuff yet, but they put out two albums this year—Deliverance (which hits a bit harder) and Damnation (a bit more chill)—and I’m honestly loving them. They’re playing this kind of progressive Death Metal with all these moody, Pink Floyd-esque vibes... at least, that's how it feels to me, since I feel like I'm constantly getting lost trying to figure out which genre is which these days.

Anyway, my heart usually belongs to progressive rock or metal, and then maybe some heavy or thrash... but heavy metal and death metal aren't really my main thing.
