Man, they’re trying to scrap this whole thing and you guys are sitting here acting like toddlers playing dress-up. What a joke.

deni86 said:I just caught wind of this whole mess regarding the new fan legislation being pushed through, and honestly? It’s absolute garbage. I was reading through the details earlier, and it feels like they’re just looking for any excuse to tighten the leash on regular people who actually care about their teams. It’s the same old story—politicians getting together in some marble hall in D.C., thinking they know more about sports culture than the people actually sitting in the stands at a Friday night game. They talk about "safety" and "order," but let's call it what it really is: a power grab. They want to turn every stadium into a high-security prison zone where you can't even breathe without a permit. I remember back when I was trying to catch a game in Chicago, and there was already enough red tape to make your head spin. Now, they want to bake these restrictions right into the legal code. It’s heavy-handed, it’s unnecessary, and it’s going to kill the atmosphere. You can't have that raw, electric energy in a crowd if everyone is too terrified of a fine or a run-in with the law to actually cheer. The logic they're using is so flimsy it’s almost insulting. They claim certain groups of fans are "troublemakers," which is such a lazy way to sweep an entire community under the rug. Instead of dealing with actual bad actors—you know, the guys who actually cause problems—they’d rather pass broad laws that slap everyone with the same restrictions. It’s lazy policing, plain and simple. If this goes through, it's going to change the face of American sports forever. We’ll go from passionate, loud crowds to these sanitized, corporate-approved gatherings where everything is controlled and nothing is spontaneous. It sucks, it’s unfair, and quite frankly, it’s a joke. We need to keep pushing back before this becomes the new normal.

Let it happen. Let the tears fall. Honestly, let them come. 😂

Here’s my little amendment proposal for this fan legislation
1. Fans aren't allowed to make eye contact with cops—just in case they start reading minds. Also, let’s just make sure every fan is shorter than the officers; otherwise, we might run into some police inferiority complexes, and according to section n-paragraph n of the fan legislation, those guys are legally entitled to use force if their ego gets bruised.
2. As for the cops, I suggest they stick to the old routine: pull a troublemaker out of the crowd first, then hit them with a minimum 5:1 ratio of force.
3. To save everyone the wasted energy, instead of shouting "hands in the air," maybe the officers should just swing the baton straight at the small brain. In 100% of cases, the hands will end up right where they belong.
This amendment is open source, so if anyone actually wants to help the government out, step up!

I’ve been hitting games since '94... and man, traveling back then was pure magic. Nothing beat the train rides—all those transfers and the chaos starting way back in the Midwest whenever the Kansas City Chiefs played in Chicago. For a big derby, you'd have the rival fan groups catching trains to the city the night before or the morning of. If we traveled early, we’d just switch tracks to catch the direct line home. Those away trips were legendary because of the logistics alone. Nowadays? That vibe is dead. All I’m saying is it used to be an actual adventure—now, the way the police act and the sheer amount of power they wield is just straight-up terrifying.

Honestly, I’m getting sick of this whole police situation. Take the last trip to San Diego, for example: we rolled in a van a few hours before tip-off for the Lakers-Warriors game. Since I have buddies in San Diego, we had plans to meet up beforehand, but the second we hit the off-ramp, the cops pulled us over. They told us we had to wait for an escort because we’re "fans," and they were basically forcing us to head straight into the arena. It’s insane—San Diego is our city, yet we aren't even allowed to walk around, grab a coffee, or have a beer with friends. Total nightmare. Luckily, the officer told our driver we had to park a few streets away from the blockade and walk in separately so we wouldn't get run over by the escort. It’s reached a point where they won't leave us alone anywhere; they basically want to lock us in the arena/stadium. It feels like a total violation of basic rights and freedom of movement. At this rate, you’re better off going to a game solo or in a pair of two just to stay under the radar. It’s gross, and I know I’m not the only one feeling this—some people have actually stopped traveling altogether because of this constant harassment. I’m not ready to quit just yet, but it’s clear they’re trying to push us further and further away from the stadium. We have to fight for our rights by any means necessary.

Give her some credit; she graduated from a top-tier teaching college in Oklahoma City, worked her way up to Vice President, and now The Administration has her tackling the biggest issue facing the nation. 😁

Yeah, right. What’s this "small-town teacher" actually going to do? Her main goal is clearly to dissolve and sink the entire fan movement—something we already saw starting to happen during the World Handball Championship when fans were pitted against those privileged, corporate-sponsored behemoths...
Just give me some actual, constructive ideas (enough with the constant bickering) if there's anything left to be done...

Alright everyone, heads up: there’s a press conference scheduled for Monday at 11:45 AM hosted by the National Fan Association. It’s going to be held at the Brussels hall inside the European House, located right over at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Pretty much every major American fan club has signed on to send their representatives. We're showing up as a united front with one single mission.

To honor this effort—and to finally put an end to all those childish arguments online—I’m asking that you lock down all threads except for this one for the next week starting Monday morning.

We have a long, tough fight ahead of us.

Thanks.

Go ahead, keep arguing over who landed more punches or who walked away with more stitches. Or better yet, debate whether the atmosphere is better at a handball game in Washington, D.C. or Miami.

The leadership from all nine groups just held a press conference here in Washington, D.C., and anyone with half a brain knows we’re heading straight into a massive mess. Lower the temperature and stop wasting energy on this nonsense. We all have serious work to do, and there's no shortage of good ideas if we actually focus...
