Dennis said:Well, that’s highly subjective. We've already seen how certain meds or creams work wonders for one person and do absolutely nothing for another. Some people deal with severe cases—like you—while others don't. It all depends...
But you're right otherwise. In the long run, it’s definitely worth it. I'm just guessing here because I haven't spent years testing out various creams or shots 🙂...

I'm sorry it turned out that way for you. I tried everything under the sun and was actually facing surgery before I managed to pull through, so maybe that’s where this optimism comes from.
Honestly, I wish everyone could have an experience like mine—getting relief quickly and without the agony. I know firsthand just how brutal hemorrhoid issues can be.

Unfortunately, sooner or later, the easy cases tend to turn into the tough ones.

(I haven't had a chance to catch up on all the posts yet)
Regarding the ointments I've tried—honestly, some from CVS and even some herbal stuff from Hemopropin—that last one was definitely my winner.
And if I’m being real, the absolute lifesaver during those flare-ups (everything from intense itching and stinging to full-on burning pain) has been sage. I just make a really strong sage tea and apply it as a compress—using cotton pads or whatever works—directly to the "crime scene," and after a few days, things finally settle down. That’s just how it’s worked for me...

Actually, I'm dealing with a flare-up today—and of course, because my metabolism decided to betray me by sending me to the bathroom three times already😠—it feels like my period is hitting at the same time, and I think I might have a little scratch or raw spot... Does anyone have any advice for that?
I'm trying to backtrack through everything I've eaten lately, and I remember reading somewhere that I should probably steer clear of tomatoes. Well, I had a massive bowl of salsa for lunch the day before yesterday... So, it looks like there might be a connection there...

Anyway, that's all for now—I'll head back and check the thread again later.🙂

My biggest, most persistent issue with hemorrhoids is Google... Ever since I first noticed this issue, it feels like it's present more often than not—it’s become a constant companion. I usually stick to over-the-counter ointments, and when things get particularly bad, I'll use witch hazel or similar remedies. Also, washing with cold water after using the restroom—as cold as I can make it—has become an absolute ritual for me...

The Google occasionally turns into a burning sensation, which eventually leads to that dull, nagging ache... Like yesterday, for instance, after dealing with a rough bout of digestive issues 😢
In those moments, I double down on my usual treatments and cut out coffee entirely, which helps settle things down a bit...
But then, the Google comes back—sometimes sooner, sometimes later—and it just starts all over again. I honestly struggle to resist the urge to scratch because the Google is just so unbearable... It becomes a vicious cycle; scratching doesn't actually help, it just makes everything worse—leading to intense burning and even some bleeding.
Another thing is that when I'm wiping, I tend to press a little too hard on the sensitive area with the toilet paper, and naturally, I'll see red streaks on the paper every now and then... But it's hard to control myself when you're dealing with this level of Google.

So, I have a few questions...

1. Someone suggested using lukewarm water instead of cold? Personally, I turn the tap to the coldest setting possible—ice cold if I can manage it (especially during the winter). It seems to work wonders for me.

2. A user mentioned that dairy might be a trigger 😕
Which is tricky, because I usually have things like granola or chocolate cereal with milk...
I assume cornmeal and rice are safe bets? So, I take it the main goal is avoiding processed deli meats?
I already know that COFFEE and SPICY FOOD are total dealbreakers...

3. Does anyone have any actual advice for finally getting rid of this relentless Google and stinging?

I think you realize you need to see a doctor...

Yeah, they’ll probably hand you some corticosteroid cream, though honestly, you really want to avoid relying on those long-term if you can help it... Plus, there might be something else going on under the hood, so seeing a doctor is definitely the move. Not that getting a colonoscopy—with the camera and the air pressure and all that—is exactly how anyone wants to spend their afternoon. :-)

Let me know what the verdict is once you hear back. :-) GOOD LUCK, and hopefully this whole thing finally puts an end to that constant itching.

What do you mean "pumping"? An exam is basically just pulling your insides out into the light. 😁 😲
A colonoscopy uses a camera; a rectoscopy is done manually... (here we go again 😲)

At least it's quick, and it's more awkward than actually painful.

Damn, I thought my eyes were actually going to pop out of my head when they pumped me up to 30 PSI 😳

Miracle said:I went with the larger pack of Pilex 14 days, and honestly—it was over by day four. I couldn't believe it; I felt like I’d never even dealt with chemical issues before. I'd been dealing with bleeding for years, and the pain was brutal—felt like I'd swallowed razor blades, seriously. I tried everything on the market, but nothing touched it until Pilex. Now, I just take it once or twice a year.
Almost everyone I know has completely cleared things up with Pilex; only one buddy mentioned it didn't do much for him.
I had a more advanced stage myself. A friend of mine was at stage four, and over the last two years, he's gone through six or seven boxes of Pilex—he's doing "fine" :-) hasn't needed surgery yet :-), but he still goes through a box every 6 or 7 months...

Interesting. I dropped a decent amount of cash on that Pilex, and saw absolutely zero results.

Are you even sure you saw an actual doctor? You might have wandered into a gynecologist's office by mistake.😁

Man, I feel for you. I actually have a buddy who told me the exact same thing—that it didn't do much for him. But looking at my own circle, including myself, everyone else has been completely saved by Pilex. From what I've gathered, about 3% of people don't see any reaction at all, 13% get some partial relief, and 84% are totally fine. Luckily, I'm part of that 84%.🙂 🙏 👍

Well, you never know.😕 I was in such a fog that I didn't even realize whose office I had walked into. 🙄 I was seeing a proctologist, let's call him Mr. M, at the B. Medical Clinic (not naming names), and his assistant seemed sketchy as hell while he was slathering me in Vaseline. 😍 To get a clear look via the camera, they pumped me up to 1.5, then all the way to 2.1 bar. Honestly, I had no clue what was coming, nor did I realize the human body could actually endure something like that. 😳

Hmm... first I'm hearing about this kind of pumping method... were they not performing a colonoscopy on you, or did they just try to suck you out with a vacuum pump 😁😁😁?

If they went in that deep—to the point where they actually need a camera—then Stipe Božić was probably the one doing the pumping 😁

The whole crew from Himlay was basically standing by while Lame hauled in all the diagnostic gear. It was incredibly uncomfortable, but hey, when you gotta do it, you gotta do it.😲

True. But here's the thing—lately, I’ve been dealing with a flare-up where my hemorrhoids are acting up... though it should pass in a few days since I'm being pretty careful with 🙂 Hemoroidin
, and then I'll likely forget all about it. It’s always a cycle like that—if there isn't any stinging or itching, I don't feel much of a reason to make an appointment. It's a bit of a catch-22, really—I never know when the next "crisis" will hit. Maybe I just don't take it seriously enough when things are quiet. Then again, if I keep eating like I am during the holidays, I'm sure the next flare-up won't be far off...
Maybe my previous post sounded a little dramatic—it isn't always this bad. If things were constantly as rough as I described above, I would have seen a specialist a long time ago...

Look, I know. This has been my life since 1999. You manage it, everything seems fine, and then—bam—it hits you out of nowhere. Like it did for me three days before a wedding where I was the best man 😁 ...

Honestly, if I had known how much a procedure would actually help, I would have done it five or six years ago. Life would be easier, and I'd have saved thousands upon thousands of dollars... (back then, a tube of Hemoroidin was like 70 bucks)

Interesting perspective. 😁

Honestly, if I had known how much of a lifesaver the procedure would be, I would have done it five or six years ago. Life would have been so much smoother—not to mention saving thousands upon thousands of dollars... (back then, even basic stuff cost a fortune).

I might find myself saying the same thing one day... though hopefully not quite so soon—just the thought of the surgery and the recovery alone is enough to make me hesitate...😱 🙂
If it’s true that the laser treatment is painless, that definitely changes the math...

But hey, one step at a time. Maybe I really should start being more careful and proactive during those times when the meds aren't kicking in... Or perhaps start noticing my dependencies early enough to learn how to avoid them... which, let's face it, is incredibly hard...

Who knows how much cash I'll end up blowing down the drain... 😬 Pilex does sound like an interesting option 🙂

In my opinion, it’s better to just deal with five minutes of hassle and go get it sorted. Right now, I’m face-deep in a pile of burgers like there’s no tomorrow 😁😁😁😁

I'm with you on that. I wasn't exactly thrilled about the idea of surgery myself, 😬 😁but Pilex sorted me out without any pain. 🙂 🤣 👍

🙂 Am I supposed to just post my medical records online🙄 so someone will actually believe me? I even went for a follow-up with Dr. Miočinović at the Bates in New York clinic, and I have all the paperwork to prove it. But why all the skepticism? All I want is for people to help each other out so they can live without constant discomfort.😉
Just like I managed to fix my own issue without any pain.
Look, it might not work for everyone, but it solved everything for most of my friends.
Truth be told, I take a course once a year, but what's the big deal? Taking one capsule a day for a few days leaves me feeling fine for months, sometimes even a year or more.😛 🙏

I love the sarcasm. 🙂 👍
