Look, I’ll give you the short version. I’ve been a professional driver for years, which basically means I spend my life glued to a seat—and between that and a pretty terrible, processed diet, things finally caught up with me. I can't tell you exactly how long I was dealing with this mess, maybe six or seven years? I tried everything from Faktu ointment to some Pilex tablets I picked up recently; the pills helped a little bit, sure, but man, the aftermath after using the restroom was just brutal. Luckily, I finally went to see Dr. Miller in Cincinnati, and he didn't mince words—he told me straight up that I needed surgery. It was a tough call to make, honestly, but looking back? I have zero regrets. Thank God I did it—I feel like a whole new person, and I’m just praying this relief actually lasts. Thanks 👍👍👍

Hey everyone,
So, I’ve been scrolling through this forum trying to find some kind of fix for what I’m going through, but honestly, nothing seems to be working.
I’ve been dealing with hemorrhoids for about two years now. I’ve gone to the doctor a few times, and it’s always the same diagnosis: an anal fissure, maybe 3-4mm
and Grade I internal hemorrhoidal nodules.
I’ve tried everything—over-the-counter creams, stuff from the pharmacy, even those herbal ointments... I've used Faktu and others too. It feels okay for maybe two weeks at most, and then it’s right back to square one. The biggest nightmare for me is the fissure; it bleeds almost every single time I go, which just leads to more itching and burning.
It just won't heal, and my doctor says we can't even move forward with a procedure until it actually clears up.
I’m trying to watch what I eat to keep things soft, though my digestion is usually pretty normal anyway. I also try to exercise, thinking it might help, and I try to take it easy physically whenever I can😕. Since my job involves sitting a ton, I really thought getting active would make a difference...😕 Plus, things seem to get way worse right before my period starts. I’m just lost. This whole thing is exhausting, both mentally and physically. Honestly, going to the bathroom has become such a struggle that I literally feel like screaming.
If anyone has any advice at all, I’d really appreciate it.
Thanks so much in advance.
Best,

along with Grade I internal hemorrhoidal nodules.
I've tried everything—various ointments and creams like Calendula, Faktu, Hemopropin, Hemoclin, even those herbal pastes... They help for maybe two weeks tops before things go right back to square one. The biggest nightmare for me is the fissure; it bleeds almost every single time I have a bowel movement, which also triggers this constant itching and burning.
It just won't heal, and my doctor says we can't even move forward with a surgical procedure until it's healed up.
I'm trying to manage my diet to keep things soft, though my movements are pretty normal anyway. I've also started exercising, thinking it might help, and I try to avoid any heavy lifting that might make things worse😕. Since my job requires me to sit for long stretches, I really thought getting active would be the answer...😕 To make matters worse, things seem to flare up right before my period every month. I am at my wit's end. This whole thing is exhausting—both mentally and physically—and going to the bathroom has become such a massive ordeal that I literally feel like screaming.
Any advice you could offer would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Best regards!

Look, speaking from experience, surgery helped me out a looooooot. You should seriously consider seeing a surgeon to see if they can give you a concrete plan immediately.

TREBAVAC Trebavac said:Listen, I can definitely suggest this treatment plan for you. You should take
HADENSA rectal ointment and suppositories at the same time. Use the suppositories
twice a day, once in the morning and once at night, and apply the ointment three times a day, specifically
after every bowel movement. Stick with this combo for two weeks, then please reach out so we can figure out the next steps. You can pick up the HADENSA ointment and suppositories at any
local pharmacy here in Canada. The larger packs go for about $10. I'm specifically
mentioning pharmacies in Canada because your usage instructions are in English and were approved by the Canadian drug agency. HADENSA
isn't officially registered in the States yet, so you might run into packaging with German
labels.

Best wishes and take care!

Anyway, thanks so much for the advice.
I think we'll give your suggested routine a shot.
I'll be sure to check back in with updates, whatever they may be. Hopefully, they're good ones.
One thing I'm still scratching my head over—if you have the time and don't mind sharing—why does everything seem to get worse right before my period starts?
Sending my best to everyone hanging out on this forum.

Listen up!

Here is my wonderful experience dealing with hemorrhoids...
My husband and I have been together for about three years now. My issue is that this thing flares up every single month—without fail. It starts with itching right before my period, and then once the period hits, it just inflames massively. So, EVERY month, following my cycle—which, thankfully for my husband, is perfectly regular.
The pain is so intense I can't sit, I can't sleep, I'm walking around like a penguin, and I'm constantly on edge... it's just great.
There isn't a pill, spray, cream, or ointment in existence that kills the pain. NOTHING works. Honestly, the only thing I can imagine doing is ripping it out with pliers.

I recently went to see a proctologist. The exam was such a joke I actually thought he was kidding.
I showed up with an inflamed hemorrhoid... and his response? He told me they could perform some kind of incision, but I should come back when the inflammation goes down because he shouldn't touch it while it's swollen.
Brilliant... seriously, do whatever you want, just get it out of my life!

When I went back for the second visit, all happy thinking we’d finally solve this... he just looks at me and says, "Oh, this is great... you can go home. It's subsided, so there's nothing to cut here."
(And mind you, he barely even gave it a superficial glance)
I told him, "Look, it's going to flare up again..." To which he replied, "Ah... well, that's just how this condition is. There's nothing we can do to help you."😕 😕 😕
I said, "But you HAVE to!"😁 I cannot live like this anymore. 🙄
Then he dropped this legendary line on me: "Come back when it's inflamed (remember, he said he can't touch it when it's inflamed, right?), and if you really want me to cut it, I will... but external hemorrhoids aren't typically treated surgically."

So, goodbye, buddy! :swear:

I was up at 5:00 AM today because I couldn't sleep thanks to this lovely little creature. Now I'm looking for a private specialist, because this "relationship" needs to end.
I am begging you, if anyone knows a good private doctor—even a butcher in the Cincinnati area would do—who can help me sever all ties with my dear husband.

Thanks!

So, I've officially stopped using Hemoroidin—it didn't help even a tiny bit, honestly, except maybe for the pain after a bowel movement, but that’s about it. The lady at the pharmacy convinced me it was my best bet, though I suspect it’s just because that hemorrhoid medication is probably the most expensive one on the shelf right now. Yes, the pain is accompanied by some bleeding, but I'm thinking it might actually be from fissures caused by irregular stools rather than the hemorrhoids themselves. I suppose you're all going to tell me that I need to prioritize regulating my digestion through a proper diet—but I am already doing that. I eat plenty of fruits and vegetables, mostly cooked meals and stews, and I don't even touch anything spicy or hot, let alone look at it. I've also cut back on soda quite a bit, sticking mostly to plain water... what else can I say? My digestion is just built this way, I guess. Even when I go every day, things tend to come out in lumps. I really have no idea how else to regulate it, unless I completely strip my menu down or follow certain dietary rules to the exact letter.

Thanks for the advice, cheers!

So, I was flipping through some health magazine the other day—you know, those ones that promise you'll live forever if you just buy their latest gadget—and there was this whole spread on hemorrhoids. It was basically just a giant list of creams, suppositories, ointments, and sitz baths. Honestly? It’s all a joke. It's just a temporary band-aid fix, and let's be real, most of those products have basically the exact same ingredients anyway. If you're dealing with this stuff constantly, stop wasting your money on junk and just decide to get rid of them for good. I've been hearing people rave about the THD procedure. Apparently, it's this way to permanently get rid of hemorrhoids by tying them off, and it's painless and doesn't even require actual surgery. They do it over at the K-center clinic☕

Ugh, I’ve had such a nightmare dealing with hemorrhoids, and honestly, they still pop up every now and then to ruin my day. I swear, I tried every single over-the-counter cream you can find at CVS or Walgreens, but absolutely nothing worked—it was just a total waste of money. So, I finally decided to take a chance on this local herbalist, and man, it was a complete game changer! I picked up this cream they make from a bunch of natural stuff like beeswax, honey, chamomile, lovage, lavender, and all sorts of other things.
That specific blend seriously saved my life!!!!

Can propolis drops actually help with hemorrhoids?

A close friend of mine deals with them all the time, and honestly, as soon as she feels that stinging sensation, she just slathers on some chamomile ointment. It’s pretty greasy, but man, it works fast to take the edge off. Personally, I only dealt with them once right after giving birth—I just used plain old Vaseline, and thank God, they cleared up quickly and never bothered me again. Oh, and if you're looking for a permanent fix, look into THD procedures. They basically wipe out the problem for good. If anyone's interested, you can always go check it out at a local clinic.🤷

I think it’s just smarter to get back to our everyday struggles and actual advice, rather than wasting time on these total frauds. Mind you, I’m not closed-minded—I’ll take anything if there’s real proof behind it. But for now, I’m not buying into this "three lights," higher energy, or Hadensa nonsense, no matter how many long-winded essays that gentleman from Canada posts here. Honestly, I tried it myself (an Austrian version, obviously—they don't exactly whip these up in a garage over here)—and the result was the exact opposite. I ended up with some pretty decent bleeding!! For me, that’s the end of the discussion...
I believe there are already three options, besides Pilex, Hadensa, and Detralex. That first one personally caused me seven days of bleeding! And it didn't even work at all...

Every single month when my Hemic kicks in, I deal with absolutely agonizing pain for four to six days straight. On top of that, I can't sleep for those few days either... I’m going to try using Hadensa. Honestly, if I have to rub horse manure on myself to get relief, I’ll do it, but I'm giving this a shot first.
What do I have to lose? A few bucks?
If it doesn't work for me, fine... I'll just move on to Juris.

Still hasn't anyone bothered to answer my question...
Is there any private clinic in the Cincinnati area that does cutting, cauterizing, laser treatments, or whatever else those monsters offer?

Look, if you actually wanted to fix things for your own family, you’d stop complaining and just drive down to Cincinnati to get it sorted out once and for all. Seriously, if they bother you that much, do a little more research on who to talk to and just handle it. Most of those creams, ointments, or whatever else you find at Walmart have basically the same ingredients; they just soothe the symptoms for people who don't deal with this constantly. But for people like us, where this keeps happening over and over? I honestly think surgery is the better way to go. It's not like how we used to do things back in the day, but still—you gotta ask around. Everyone's body reacts differently. And as for that Hadensa stuff? It isn't any better than the other brands out there. One person might swear by Hemopropin, while someone else just needs some basic ointment.☕

My apologies for the delay in moderator action—I wasn't keeping a close enough eye on this specific thread. Yeah, I'd probably have to deal with that too.
Just like I thought—you have to go all the way to New York for everything.

My bad, I was actually talking about my guys, so I guess that makes you one of the boys now too! Look, if there isn't a specialist living right next door to you, you're gonna have to head into Chicago. It's not like it's the middle of nowhere or anything.🤷

Thanks!

Sadly, if you're looking at the clinic in downtown Chicago, you should reach out to Dr. Maria Ledynski.
If everything goes smoothly with a laparoscopic procedure, you're usually heading home the next day, and recovery takes about 5 to 6 days.
I'm actually dealing with the exact same thing and I'm getting ready to go there for surgery myself.
Everyone I've talked to who had surgery there has nothing but good things to say, so I decided to pull the trigger too. I think it'll be worth it.

Just a heads up though, the waiting list is months long (welcome to the US healthcare system, I guess!)

Thanks for the tip!
Do me a favor and let me know how it goes once you're through it...

Two more questions...
Do I need a referral for this?
And is there an out-of-pocket cost? (I have a rough idea how much cash I'll need to dig out of my sock if it is).

I just finished two full boxes of Detralex, and honestly, the hemorrhoids haven't budged an inch; they might work for some people, but they certainly didn't do a thing for me. I’m thinking about switching over to Pilex since they've recently expanded their availability here in the States. Has anyone actually had any success with it?
