Regarding the nature of this headache you're experiencing, you might want to give Excedrin a shot.
Now, Metamizole is certainly gentler on the stomach, though one must always weigh the inherent risks involved with that route...
It is absolutely vital that you take your medication as soon as possible; there's a much higher probability that even a lower dose will suffice if caught early enough.

Tylenol contains codeine. This substance belongs to the same chemical family as heroin. Therefore, one should take Tylenol with extreme caution. That is also why it is so effective for pain relief, much like Excedrin.

Is that true? In what way is it dangerous? When I get a headache, Tylenol is my only go-to because nothing else touches it. Only during those rare, intense headaches do I reach for Advil Rapid, but usually, I avoid it because I feel it's a bit too strong for me.

I usually stick to Aleve; the lady at the drugstore told me it’s fine to take alongside a drink, so that works out perfectly for me... 😳 😬
But in all seriousness, those are pretty much the only ones where the only side effect is actually getting rid of the headache in a reasonable amount of time... otherwise, I have issues. Some pills give me stomach pain—like if I take Voltaren, my stomach feels like it's on fire—while others leave me feeling dizzy afterward, like when I've had Excedrin, Tylenol, or Saridon. And don't even get me started on the rest; they're either way too weak and do absolutely nothing, or I practically have to swallow half a prescription just to feel a tiny bit of relief...

I get hit with these brutal headaches almost every single evening, and honestly, it's starting to wear me down. I was wondering if anyone else out there deals with the exact same thing? How are you guys managing it? Any advice on what actually works?
Could this be from staring at a computer screen all day? I spend eight hours straight glued to a monitor during my morning shift, and honestly, it wouldn't surprise me.
Does anyone actually make glasses specifically for staring at a computer screen all day? I don't even wear prescription glasses since my vision is fine, but my eyes feel like garbage after a few hours of work.😕

I actually know someone who uses those specialized computer glasses. Nowadays, even local optical shops have specialists who drop in periodically, so you could probably get everything sorted out fairly quickly. That’s basically how I went about getting my last pair.

At this rate, even my eyelashes might start aching. I haven't been caught in a storm, I haven't fallen, I haven't hit my head, and I don't even have a cold. It’s just that every single day around noon, everything starts falling apart, and the only thing keeping me from throwing my head against the wall in pure frustration is Motrin. My doctor insists it’s just a common cold and that it’ll pass😕 .........
What should I do?

If this doesn't clear up within a week, go get a referral for a neurologist. You might be looking at migraines.

hm... for a migraine, you really need to have additional symptoms... and if only Motrin helps, have you tried all the other painkillers? If not, how can you be sure? 😁

Believe me, I've tried them all; I was practically losing my mind until the Motrin finally allowed me to drift back toward some semblance of normalcy.

Motrin falls into the same category as Voltaren, ibuprofen, or Advil... just take the Motrin, but try not to overdo it with the painkillers... we're becoming a society with such a low pain tolerance that we'll all be living on analgesics soon enough...

Your only real option is to have someone run to a 24-hour pharmacy for some painkillers. Personally, Ibuprofen rules for me.👍
If you happen to have some Tiger Balm, rub it on your forehead and temples and wrap a cloth tightly around your head; that helps too.

Metamizole was my absolute lifesaver after getting my wisdom tooth pulled. Seriously, it was the only thing that worked. I tried basically every other painkiller out there, but they'd only touch the pain for maybe two hours tops. With this stuff, I managed to get through about 6 or 7 hours...

I deal with migraines and bad cramps from time to time, but nothing compares to that kind of pain... 🙂
