And why on earth would anyone stop? I mean... I'm just curious to hear the actual reasoning behind that...

So, here’s my personal take on things

The food honestly tastes way better now, juices are smoother, and the wine 👍 is top-tier

My place feels warmer too, since I'm not constantly catching drafts

And now, for the first time, I actually notice how smokers "stink" (even though cigarette smell never really bothered me) and I just totally appreciate my sweetie 🙂 who was already kissing me all the time 😉

I'm coughing way less

My nails aren't turning yellow either

So yeah, there it is🙂

So, I guess it's my turn to check in. I smoked for four years straight. Since January 14, 2005, I haven't touched a single cigarette. I’m irritable, I'm restless, blah blah blah...
But the smoking is over. It's just too expensive now, and honestly, it's a waste. My lungs were starting to ache. It's true that right now I'm a little... well, nervous, you know?
But I'm not giving in..
I have to go see the doctor for all sorts of things..
Grrr..

Keep your fingers crossed for me..

Thanks. Honestly, since the 14th, I haven't touched a cigarette. It's been ten full days now. We keep moving forward. The cravings aren't hitting as hard, but they still show up occasionally... I DON'T SMOKE!!!

Keep pushing forward, don't smoke...

down with cigarettes!🙂

You're going to have to change your username, stormycyclist13, 😁 because you're making things awkward!

I've fallen off the wagon myself, but I really intend to quit—it’s such a terrible habit!

Oh, I actually stopped around New Year's Eve, but then I got caught up in some drama with this one guy, and work deadlines hit...
Basically, I'm just making excuses, but I'll definitely be back soon, that's for sure... 🙂

How are things going on your end?

I picked up a business card today from this guy who uses hypnosis to help people quit smoking. He’s been a guest on a few TV shows lately, and his name is Darko Rauš.
He lives out in Santa Monica, so if you're looking to try his treatment—which apparently only takes about 15 to 20 minutes—you'd have to head out that way. He didn't mention what he charges...
his number is 091/5317160
in case anyone finds it useful.

Not that I need it myself, since I don't smoke, but maybe someone else could use the tip.
No, it's not really my thing, and I'm certainly not endorsing him for my own sake...😁
Just thought I'd share some helpful info. :-)

As for the smoking situation—it’s a total disaster! Honestly, I’m actually smoking a bit less than my usual self—maybe about a pack to a pack and a half a day—but I am nowhere near satisfied with that. Pretty sure I’ll be declaring a new "D-Day" pretty soon :-)))
Man, life is just hitting me hard right now. Between the sleep deprivation, racing against the clock, and all that other nonsense, quitting isn't even really on my radar at this exact second. I mostly just pop in here to remind myself of the promises I made to myself and to see how you guys are doing—seeing what’s happening with the "non-smokers since last summer" club :-))

I have an aunt who’s a doctor in New York City, and she swears by acupuncture—she says just three sessions can kick your smoking habit for good. Some people who’ve actually tried it say it’s totally legit; they claim the craving just vanishes and they suddenly find cigarettes absolutely revolting.
Apparently, when they're hitting those pressure points to stop the smoking, they also toss in some points to prevent weight gain, so former smokers don't end up packing on the pounds like they often do.
She charges $17 per session.
I don't smoke myself, so I can't personally vouch for whether it works like magic.
If anyone is interested, I'm happy to pass along her name and number.
$50 To me, it doesn't seem like much at all if it means finally breaking free from nicotine, especially since I know how incredibly tough that struggle can be.

congratulate you on the new addition to the family!!! 👋

Go ahead and tease the "non-smokers," but trust me, I fully intend to keep my word—just let me get through these deadlines first... 😬

Hello, I am Arthur Martinez7 and I am a cigarette addict. 😁

And now you all from the sidelines: Hi Arthur Martinez7!!!!! 😁

I actually managed to surprise myself yesterday. After several clumsy and half-hearted attempts at quitting, I finally hit a breaking point. I was coming home from the movie theater yesterday, coughing a bit and feeling quite lightheaded from lack of sleep and general exhaustion over the last few days, and then I actually stumbled while walking up the stairs... Next thing I know, I’ve crushed an almost full pack and tossed it straight into the trash, deciding right then and there that I truly don't need that crap anymore. It had infiltrated my life so deeply that practically every single activity felt tethered to a cigarette. And besides those physical triggers, there are all the other reasons, but I won't bore you by listing everything you've likely already mentioned.

Anyway, here I am today at work. Normally, by this time of day, I would have smoked nearly an entire pack; today, I haven't had one. 👍 I even had coffee with my secretary—a moment where I usually would have lit up at least two cigarettes—and today, nothing. 👍

It's going well so far, though the physical sensation of nicotine withdrawal is certainly hitting me; my eyes feel strangely itchy and there's a peculiar sensation in my throat. But honestly, forget the fear of gaining weight. I’ll probably pack on the pounds, I'm sure of it, but I couldn't care less right now. I've already polished off two bags of pretzels and I'm working my way through three sodas and two coffees. 😬

Let's keep moving. 👍 No smoking allowed during this recovery phase. I just hope I stop thinking about the whole ordeal so much very soon. 🙂

I really appreciate this kind of support. 😁😁 At the end of the day, intention is what truly matters. 😉 😁
