I’m not saying Steven Ruiz was being rude or bringing parents into it, but honestly, it's a joke—there are other users who were just as polite while insulting parents, yet they had their bans extended.🤷

What are you even talking about? Every moderator chatting with Steven Ruiz got a single warning for breaking the subforum rules, not for the chat itself (as far as I know). The warnings were handed out to everyone participating in the chat, and then the thread was locked. That's standard procedure for any subforum... big deal.

sol faking vat, if we're ignoring the rules, and you intentionally ignored them, you got a warning, so what now? Next time you decide to ignore a rule on purpose, what are you looking for? A symbolic warning or something else?

For the record, it would be absurd if they hadn't been punished. How long was the thread open? And after how many complaints? Seriously, you should have just kept your mouth shut. You already have enough people defending you as it is.

The issue is that when I broke the subforum rules, I was hit with a hundred days instead of thirty. 😉
And there's also the fact that if users start chatting in the ban corner, their Ban gets extended. 😉
Not to mention you posting a private message—which, even if it wasn't explicitly forbidden by the site rules, was incredibly tacky (and that's me being polite here).

Everyone was talking, then Apple stepped in, handed out everyone their warnings all at once, and shut the thread. So, it's not true that people were ignoring warnings to keep chatting... Get it now?

I honestly have no clue why you ended up with 100 points since I can't see into the backend, but let's be real, not every violation is created equal.
It's like if I'm grading my students' PDFs; I'm certainly not going to give the same failing grade to someone who sends a mother back to her hometown as I would to someone just hitting the caps lock key. One thing is much more serious than the other.

My ban actually would have been extended if it hadn't been lifted, and it wasn't just me getting an amnesty, but that third person was also given a break...
And regarding the whole business of posting a private message (though, frankly, I'm not sure what was "private" about someone insulting me, other than their own lack of manners), everything has already been addressed, the penalties were handed out, and the rule is clearly stated.

Even moderators make mistakes sometimes, and we all learn from them...

So I'll ask one more time, what is the actual problem here? Because from where I'm sitting, I just don't see one...
