I wonder if anyone here knows how to get an email address updated. I reached out to the system administrator, but I haven't heard anything back yet, I guess.

The option is sitting right there in front of you.

I’m going to weigh in on this situation. But first, please clarify: are you receiving this message while attempting to change your email address yourself? I need to know if you perhaps already have another profile linked to that specific address that you're trying to switch to.
And thirdly: which email service are you planning to use—Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, or some local US provider like AT&T or Verizon?

Yeah, I guess when I try to change it. I don't have any other profile besides this one. The domain is Gmail.

I’d bet anything that domain is blacklisted. I'll run some checks and let you know what I find.

Every time I try to open this forum, the load time drags on for over 60 seconds! It’s honestly brutal. It’s happened to me too! Sometimes when I go to log out, instead of seeing the standard logout screen, I get redirected straight to one of the moderators' profiles—usually the one managed by z_k. It is honestly so bizarre!

It’s the exact same story whether you’re dealing with Windows, Linux, or Android—it doesn't matter which OS you prefer. And honestly? It makes zero difference which carrier you use either, whether it's AT&T, Verizon, or T-Mobile. It's happening across the board!

I don't have another one; I only keep this account open so the transition can be deactivated. I suppose you could just set an exclusion and be done with it, since other American forums seem to handle it without any issues.

I’ve already told you, I haven't received a straight answer on whether mail.ru is blacklisted or not. That is precisely why I asked you to test it using a different provider.
If it took you that long to set up an account with mail.ru, it'll take just as much effort to open one with Yahoo, Google, or whatever else is out there. There are plenty of options if you actually bother to choose one.

And if they have blacklisted that domain, I can guarantee it wasn't done without a good reason, regardless of which other email addresses some random forums might decide to accept.

The "mark forums read" feature in the quick links is broken again.
Or maybe it's just another 505 error. 😁

Whenever I try to write a post, this line suddenly appears and starts jumping all over the place toward the right, which completely prevents me from typing anything. To make matters worse, that single line ends up duplicating itself into ten more lines. This issue is happening on my new smartphone as well. Any advice?

I run into this exact same headache whenever I try using Google Chrome on my phone. It’s bizarre. Everything functions perfectly fine on other browsers, and even when I switch over to my desktop, Chrome works without a hitch. But on mobile? Total chaos.

Some of the signature editing options are currently locked down, and honestly, it might be all of them right now. Just drop a message here letting me know exactly how you want yours to look, and I'll take care of the changes for you.

I'm trying to figure out why uploading images in the "How to post pictures and videos" thread counts as a post, but doing the same thing over in "Skeptical Memes" doesn't trigger a new post entry
