Whatever. Most of those things aren't even supposed to be used while you're on your period anyway. Plus, since the uterine lining is shedding during menstruation, the symptoms usually don't hit as hard as they do during the rest of your cycle.

Canesten isn't just for fungus; it can also be used for certain bacteria, which means it can give you a false result. Generally, it’s recommended to wait at least two weeks after using anything—whether it's oral or topical—otherwise, you might end up with a false negative.

I don't think there's any point in applying anything right now, since I'm expecting my period tomorrow... and honestly, it doesn't even itch on the outside—it's more of an internal thing, you know, like on the inner labia and a bit further in 😢
plus, my period is going to last until Thursday, so I won't be able to get to the gynecologist for another two weeks. But I'll go then and just tell them what's up
the last time this happened was five months ago, and now it's happening again. I just don't get it
should I ask them to do a swab? 🤷

Sure, let her make the Papu and all those wipes too.

I had a Pap smear about 6 months ago and everything turned out fine.

Hey everyone! First time posting here. I’ve scrolled through some of the previous pages so I kind of get the vibe, but I really need some advice. Usually, I barely deal with white discharge—maybe 2 or 3 days a month—and I just push through it. But yesterday morning was totally different. It was super heavy, which was bad timing because I had my appointment scheduled. When the gynecologist saw how much there was, he couldn't even do the Pap smear; instead, he sent me for a swab to test for bacteria.

Did the tests today and now I'm just waiting on the results. The discharge hasn't stopped today either, and the outside area is itching on and off. I think the doctor assumes this is a regular thing for me, but honestly, yesterday was the first time it ever hit me this hard.

Also, right after the exam, my stomach started cramping like crazy and won't quit, plus the discharge is still there... So now I'm heading to DM to grab some pantyliners, though I'm not sure if that's actually a good idea. This is all so intense for me since it's my first time dealing with anything this "extreme," so I'm feeling pretty lost...

hmmm, I have a general question regarding discharge. It isn’t white, but rather something else entirely. My period just ended, but it feels like I’m experiencing discharge that isn't white, nor is it yellow or brown, but perhaps it looks as though there might be blood cells in it. I am heading in for a swab test this week. I am feeling a little concerned. Could this possibly be related to PCOS?...

Hi everyone, I was wondering if someone could help me out with a question; I'm 43 years old and my periods are still regular.
Last month, right in the middle of my cycle, I noticed some brownish discharge. My last period ran from November 13th to the 18th.
Then today—which is basically the third day since my period ended—I spotted this tiny light pink patch on my daily liner,
and that was it. Nothing else. I usually head to the gynecologist once a year and everything always comes back fine. I'm planning to go back next month or maybe sometime next year.
Thanks in advance!

Hey everyone

My vagina is really irritated—it's actually starting to peel. It all kicked off a few days ago with some intense itching, and on top of that, I've got this yogurt-like discharge going on.

Any idea what this could be? 😲

Is it just one single itch, or more like an overall "irritation"—constant, nagging itching?

If it's likely Candida, there’s probably a thread about that somewhere out there...

Bingo!

I was scrolling through some forums and stumbled upon someone complaining about Candida—basically all my symptoms—after taking Klavocin... And yep, I was on Klavocin too...

Tnx!

Maybe there’s already a thread about this, but... I’m just over it! 🙂 It keeps happening, regardless of whether I’m ovulating or not. And obviously, I’ve been to the gynecologist—my Pap smear was fine, and I had a little yeast issue that I sorted out, but now I feel like I have to wear pads constantly!! Or change my underwear three times a day. It's gross... I always feel like I smell, and honestly, it's driving me insane... 🙂 My doctor tells me, "just wash properly," basically saying don't spray the shower head directly at everything, and that I should be grateful because so many women deal with dryness... Sometimes during my period, I get this redness and itching, so I just slather on some baby cream and it goes away, but seriously, it's enough to make you lose your mind!!

Are you using daily liners?

I dealt with similar issues myself—plus, I had this constant itching that just wouldn't quit—only to find out it was actually contact dermatitis from the liners (which is surprisingly common, especially for those sensitive to chamomile).
After just two days of ditching the daily liners entirely, all my problems vanished.

But honestly—they don't have a clue about certain things.

There's your answer right there.☕
The biggest issue is that you're leaking now—you feel like you need them, when ideally, you shouldn't need anything at all.

Every single pad I’ve ever tried feels like it's made of pure plastic—which explains why we end up feeling so "stifled" down there. It's basic biology, really.😠
Eventually, I stumbled upon a specific type that uses something similar to Gore-Tex, and let me tell you—I am never going back to anything else. It’s a game changer.
You can find them on Winalite Haeru.😉

Are you absolutely certain you've cleared the yeast infection?
One single course of antibiotics doesn't necessarily guarantee a total fix.

And if that unpleasant odor is still lingering, why not just head to the gynecologist for some swabs? It’s better to know exactly what you're dealing with.🤷

I use both liners and regular pads since you can basically find them everywhere... I guess I'll try going without them for a few days and see what happens. Honestly, better to just track my cycle carefully than to deal with this misery. Thanks for the advice...

I’ve tried asking about a few different topics here, but I’ve only gotten one single response so far.😢
Honestly, I’m freaking out about getting pregnant... My period came right on Christmas and usually lasts about 5 or 6 days. It wrapped up around New Year's, and my boyfriend and I had sex around then. We always use condoms and he pulls out. This time, he finished quickly the first round, so he put on a second condom and we went at it again, but he didn't finish during the second time. About a day or two later, I started noticing this white discharge, and I still have it—it's pretty thick. At first, it was constant, but now it only happens when I go to the bathroom :/ Should I be worried? Thanks in advance.

Hi everyone, I’m really sorry for starting a new thread here, so please feel free to move this if it doesn't belong—I've been reading through everything, but I just can't seem to find an answer or any kind of comfort, and I am honestly so worried...😢
So, basically... lately I've been living in constant fear that I might have picked up some kind of infection, and honestly, browsing through the forums and searching online is only making my anxiety ten times worse...😢
The thing is, a few weeks ago, I noticed this thick, greenish, translucent discharge, and right before that, I started noticing a really unpleasant odor. Before this happened, I didn't have any major issues, though I did experience some stinging during intercourse when things were being inserted into the vagina, but that would always clear up after a couple of days, so naturally, I just brushed it off -.- That stinging actually started several months ago, back during the summer, I think. This time last year, I was on the pill and everything was perfectly fine, but there was one suspicious encounter... and now I can't stop overthinking it all, I'm just eating myself alive with panic...😢 I have an appointment with my gynecologist this Monday, but I can't go any sooner because of my period. I was wondering if anyone else has dealt with similar symptoms?? I feel like I'm going to lose my mind from all this thinking...
Also, I've been using Canesten cream, and I even had my boyfriend use some just in case, even though I'm starting to doubt if it's actually Candida...🤷
Thanks
