Daniel Garcia8 said:Maybe you have some cysts that burst, so they weren't showing up on the ultrasound before. Honestly, I’d say just go get an ultrasound when the pain is really hitting you hard.
And the fact that it hurts now? Not surprising at all, especially since your period is late.
Don't stress too much... 😉

The thing is, it never really hits that level of intense pain... it’s more of a dull, nagging sensation just to let me know something is there.
Right now, though, it feels similar to my pre-period cramps, but it's strictly localized to one side.
I suppose everything will be fine once I finally get checked out.

Hey ladies, I’m new here and honestly, I have no clue where to even drop my questions, but hopefully I’m not being too much of a pain...

I keep getting these weird pains in my lower abdomen—if you ask me, it's definitely my ovaries, and man, they really sting sometimes.
So I've got a question, wondering if anyone else has dealt with anything similar.
Basically, my cycle is more or less regular, just kind of short, maybe around 24-26 days.
My last period started on January 15th, and right around the middle of my cycle, I constantly get these cramps and sharp pains in my ovaries. I had some spotting on day 20 (February 4th), just a tiny bit of bleeding that day, then nothing until today, February 10th, which is when I was supposed to start my period again. But things feel off; I only see blood when I go to the bathroom, otherwise, nothing.
I'm dealing with cramps and stabbing pains every single day, and my temperature hits 98.6°F constantly, though I don't feel sick—just freezing all the time.
What could that little bit of spotting be? And these mild cramps...
Hope I didn't bore you guys to death..

I'd strongly suggest you go see a gynecologist. If I had to take a wild guess, it sounds like some minor ovarian inflammation, but obviously, I'm not a doctor.

So, is there even a chance I'm pregnant?

Yeah, there’s definitely a chance. I actually took a test yesterday but it was negative. Maybe it’s just too early to show up? Who knows. This weird spotting won't stop and I've got cramps too, so I think I'm gonna run to some private OBGYN. This socialized clinic is saying they aren't taking new patients until the end of the quarter??? Anyway, thanks girls...

Speaking from my own experience here, I can tell you that out of all the different medications I’ve ever tried, herbal teas were actually what helped me the most...
Besides just drinking the tea, you really have to focus on staying calm and keeping your stress levels down, because honestly, all that tension plays such a huge role in how those cysts form in the first place.
You basically need to clear out any inflammation happening in your lower abdomen, and once you do that, everything usually settles—your period becomes regular again, and the pain and those cysts just seem to vanish...
As for the doctors, I still head in to get a professional verification and make sure there aren't any major changes happening, since at the end of the day, they do know their stuff, but for me personally, nature and tea did the heavy lifting, especially once I started getting serious about hitting the gym and practicing yoga every single day...

Could you please tell me which teas you’ve been drinking? And what specific issues were you trying to fix with them? Not that it’s any trouble asking—I’m just trying to tackle my own gynecological stuff through herbalism, different blends, and all that sort of thing... since the doctors can't seem to find the root cause of my ovarian pain, even though it's definitely there—it's this dull ache that just radiates down into my legs...

Could lower back pain that radiates toward my stomach be a sign of an ovarian cyst?

thanks

I drink chamomile and another blend myself. It's one part dried leaves of chamomile, artichoke, lemon balm, marjoram, chamomile, and fennel, mixed with one and a half parts dandelion root (so if you use one scoop of the leaves, use a scoop and a half of the dandelion). I'm not sure if it's the tea, but I haven't had any pain or cyst symptoms at all, and I'm dealing with a fibroid on top of the cyst.

I don't have any clear answers, but I definitely have the pains—though the doctors are completely stumped, claiming everything looks perfectly fine, when clearly it isn't. On the other hand, since I started taking the medication, my cycles have finally regulated; my periods now last just about 5-6 days, which feels totally normal

Hi
About a month ago, I had some tests done. While they were at it, they decided to run a tumor marker test too. Everything came back normal except for my CA 125, which was slightly elevated at 45. I saw my gynecologist and she said everything looks fine. She advised me to retest in a month. Well, I did the test today, and the result is still high—now at 46.7. It isn't a massive jump. I’ve read a bit about this specific marker, but it feels strange to have an elevation at all. I feel perfectly healthy and have zero symptoms. Does anyone know anything about this? They want me to test again in another month. The whole situation feels off. What if the numbers keep climbing even though I feel completely fine? This was all just a total accident.
🙂

What do you mean, "it happened completely by accident"? As far as I know, they usually play it safe if you have a clear result—just to be certain whether surgery is actually needed to remove something... at least, that was my experience. But those tumor markers aren't exactly reliable anyway..

I know they are standard procedure in those cases, but I honestly just did it spontaneously. It wasn't just the CA 125; I did all the other tests too. I was running basic labs, and a friend of mine who works at the clinic suggested we just do everything—markers and all—since I was already there. I realize they aren't perfectly reliable, and my gynecological exams show everything is fine. However, it feels strange because when I repeated the test a month later, the level had climbed. Not by much, just by one point. I’ll keep monitoring it to see if the trend continues upward. I'm wondering if there's anything else I should have checked. Could this be linked to something other than gynecological issues?😕

This is spot on. I deal with hormonal issues and cysts myself, and I’ve always been prone to stress without really taking it seriously. Once I realized how much it was affecting me, I made a real effort to manage my temper and started drinking liters of various herbal teas every single day. After three months, my prolactin levels dropped, my cycle became regular, my skin cleared up, and I’m even seeing less hair loss.

Oh, and I started exercising regularly too. That part is pretty crucial.

As for the specific blend I use, I don't know every single ingredient. I get it from a local herbalist in Cleveland, but she keeps her recipes secret. I can tell it contains Agrimony, though. I usually supplement it by adding some Lady's Mantle myself.

You can find various herbal blends for women's health at any local pharmacy; you won't go wrong with most, just make sure they include Agrimony and Lady's Mantle.

Also, if you're in Washington, D.C., over at the market near the fishmonger, there's a stall that sells these teas. You can buy the individual herbs there and mix your own. I'm planning to add Fennel and Lemon Balm to my Agrimony and Lady's Mantle mix.

Anyway, I hope this helps someone.

Along with my C-section, they removed my right ovary because of a dermoid cyst (if I recall correctly). Three months later, I feel great overall. However, I'm wondering if it’s normal to be getting my period every 15 to 20 days. Ginić tells me it's fine and just a result of the childbirth, but honestly, this amount of bleeding is a total mess. Also, if anyone knows, will my cycle settle into once a month or once every two months once things stabilize?🙏

Has anyone else dealt with a dermoid cyst? I could really use some clarity on what kind of thing we're actually talking about here. My doctors have been playing a guessing game—first speculating it might be an endometriotic "chocolate cyst," and now they're leaning toward this type instead. My gynecologist mentioned that I'll eventually need an endoscopic procedure just to get a definitive answer on what's actually going on inside. Also, my CA 125 levels are pretty high right now, though apparently, that doesn't necessarily mean anything scary since the cyst itself can cause those markers to spike...

Please try not to let an elevated marker cause you constant anxiety. There are cases where levels remain perfectly normal, yet a patient ends up undergoing surgery only to lose a significant portion of their reproductive organs...

Personally, I have been struggling with a water cyst on my right ovary; there are days when the sensation is quite intense, and other days when it feels as though it isn't even there. I am currently waiting for my test results, and if my hormone levels are stable, I intend to ask my doctor about more long-term solutions to resolve this. However, I suspect that stress plays a very significant role in all of this...

So, I had sex with my boyfriend yesterday. Everything went great, obviously. 🙂
But now I’m dealing with one little issue.
I have this constant pain in my ovaries.
I can't tell if it's just because of the sex or if it's a sign of something else, like an infection or inflammation?
Do you think I should go see a gynecologist?

Testicular pain can definitely flare up if you let yourself get a bit too chilled out, especially when wearing those short summer tees or sitting on cold surfaces for too long. 😢

I’ve certainly learned that the hard way myself... 👎 But hey, I suppose we all learn from our own little mistakes along the way.. 😉
