I need some help—does anyone know where I can find an extra-long pareo? I’m looking for one that goes all the way down to my ankles, and since I’m a size 14 or 16, I need something with actual coverage... ideally for a beach trip.
I couldn't find anything at Gap...
And does H&M still not carry larger sizes in our stores? I'm asking specifically about pants... I’d probably just order them online, but sizing is always such a headache for me—though maybe elastic waists would make things easier...🤔
I'm not really the type to spend my weekends wandering around shopping malls.
Basically, where should I be looking for size 16 pants?🕺

Take a look at ASOS, Boohoo, or Next... they carry a massive range of sizes. You should also check the C&A and H&M websites; their online inventory is far superior to what you'll find on the racks in-store. Also, Mango has a specific line tailored for fuller figures.😉

Bikinis? Is the material actually decent? I'm looking for a two-piece—nothing fancy with a high waist, just a standard cut. 😬 I need to try them on first; ordering online is out of the question. I’m a size 12 or 14 🤔.

Someone mentioned Kik in the bikini thread—anyone actually used them? None of their locations are convenient, so I don't want to make a wasted trip. I picked one up at a Target clearance sale last year; the fit was great, but let me tell you, that fabric takes forever to dry.

Hey ladies!
I really wanted to give a shout-out to our fellow member ironsurfer10.
So, I was basically bugging my cousin about how much I missed ordering from BonPrix, and she ended up posting an ad looking for someone to help out with shipping from the BonPrix US and Canadian sites. That’s when ironsurfer10 reached out.
We worked out a deal for an order from their main site. Honestly, I have nothing but good things to say—communication was super clear, easy, and fast, and you can totally negotiate the service fee.
The package should be here in maybe two weeks, which is pretty much how long it took me when I used to order through the local outlets. I’ll probably check back in once I actually grab the box, but so far, so good! 👍

On another note, I’ve been thinking about picking up some stuff from Takko. But man, the deals on their premium line in-store are just a joke. The last couple of times I popped in, I found this tiny corner with half-empty shelves and just a bunch of empty hangers hanging underneath, even though their website claims they’re fully stocked. It's such a lie! I already told myself I wasn't stepping foot in that Takko ever again, and then, well, I went right back. 😵

I am officially switching to online shopping for everything!

Beachside stands? Honestly, I’ve already picked up at least four or five pairs from them—and they were absolute steals!

You can find H&M's plus-size selection over at Westgate, though since I’ve never actually stepped foot in that location, I can't tell you exactly what their current stock looks like. Their online shop, however, has a massive variety to choose from! My best advice? Take your measurements first—if you're looking at something with an elastic waistband, you might want to grab a smaller size for the best fit.
I've got to say, when it comes to finding great options in larger sizes, I always find myself gravitating toward C&A. My absolute favorite spot for that is definitely their City Center location!

I’ve started picking up my holiday outfits from Kwik Trip lately. They aren't exactly high-end designer pieces, but honestly? They're super affordable and hold up just fine for a season or two!

Honestly, I’ve been feeling pretty disappointed with Takko lately. Even though the locations around the greater Chicago area are still decent and there's plenty to choose from, it seems like the stores right in the city center just can't compete with all the other options anymore.

Finally done with my sage leggings 😁 Grabbed two pairs from ASOS. They are seriously comfy :slap:

I am seriously, desperately craving an M&S right about now.... and honestly, when we were just over in London for a couple of days, M&S was our very first stop! I managed to snag some underwear, two bras, and a couple of tops. Oh, and I brought back some traditional wraps from Morocco, too. It’s just so incredibly frustrating that we don't have anywhere more substantial to shop for clothes here. 🙄

I happened to stumble upon an ad for the s.Oliver Triangle collection the other day, though from what I can tell, it looks like it might only be available online. I was wondering if anyone had actually checked the physical s.Oliver stores lately to see if they carry any decent plus-size pieces?

Hi there!
I'm heading to Chicago this Thursday.
I was wondering where would be the best place to shop for plus-size clothing?
Also, does anyone know where I can find some good cotton bras?

Hey ladies, I wanted to say a huge thanks to @coppertinker13 for recommending this group for online shopping.
If anyone ever needs help ordering something from a site that ships to places like Austria or Canada (think Bonprix, Marks & Spencer UK/EU, or Asda George...), please feel free to shoot me a private message. 😉

No worries! 🙂
Honestly, I’m pretty stoked. Ordered my stuff on June 21st, it showed up by the 30th, and we did the hand-off on July 3rd just like we planned. It was actually faster than when I used to order through Bonprix. I guess I’ve got nothing but good things to say about this place. 👍
Man, I'm already scrolling through all these online shops in Austria. I see there's C&A, then Otto, plus some Sieh-an place that carries a ton of stuff, and they've got Universal, Meyer-Mode, and whatnot.
I'll definitely be ordering again.

Hey ladies!
Any idea where I can snag a compression undershirt?
Looking for a size 16. Google is only showing me stuff way more expensive than $67, and honestly—not trying to drop that kind of cash right now.
If anyone’s got one just sitting in their closet, let me know.

Well, if you aren't in a massive rush, I think they usually have some stuff at Walmart in different colors. They'll have them as undershirts, bodysuits, or even those high-waisted shapewear pieces.
Prices usually top out around $17. I check their seasonal stuff every once in a while—it’s always the same cut, just different patterns or colors—so I just grab whatever looks okay.
Pretty easy to wash, too.
They don't have anything in the current flyer, but they usually roll out new stock right before fall hits.

But, uh, if you actually need it like, yesterday, maybe check ASOS online? They usually carry them, though I think they're pricier than that $5 range, and I'm pretty sure the sales just ended, but hey, might be worth a quick look!

👍

Not sure if anyone here actually knows about this, but there’s this shop called Karina in the shopping mall that carries extended sizes. I picked up some business trousers in a $33, and even managed to snag a blazer in a size 52—actually quite modern for $93. 🙂

I was asking about bras recently—just putting this out there in case anyone else needs the scoop. That boutique on Juraj Žužec has some gorgeous 👍, though they are definitely on the pricier side 😬. I was obsessing over one specific model—thick straps, really comfortable fit—but since I wanted to pick up two pairs this year, buying that one would have basically nuked my entire budget 😢. So, I ended up heading over to Nordstrom instead. They have a massive selection—Triumph, Pletix, Lisca, you name it—plus plenty of sizes and an actual wall dedicated to bras where you can mix and match separates (tops and bottoms sold individually).

Oh, and if I caught that right, they carry shapewear too, though I can't say for certain since I wasn't looking for it today 😁.

Thanks for the tips, ladies... @hollowtinker40... I need an undershirt right this second—but I'll keep Lidl on my radar for a few months down the line. Honestly, I can never have enough of this stuff—always trying to squeeze into something too tight :-D

@Jonathan Perez88... I haven't spent a full century in Napa, if that makes sense—but I keep running into people swearing by it for finding good finds. I’ll have to scout it out properly and actually head there on purpose, since my usual routes never take me past the good stuff.

Right now, I'm on a hunt for some harem pants... you won't find them in any of our local shops, and all I want is something simple in black.

Honestly, if you’re looking for that perfect compression top that isn't some super intense shapewear, I swear, my go-to is from Target. Though, I don't think they have it in their summer lineup right now—but hey, who knows? It probably depends on which specific store you hit up. It’s got these wider straps, and there's this little stitched detail on the front. Just plain black or white, totally basic... but man, they hold everything in so well, just nice and snug. I seriously can't see myself going back to those regular old cotton ones. No way..
