Primark doesn't carry anything in my size—though we don't actually know what number this forum lady needs.

Thanks for the heads-up about West—are you absolutely sure? I really don't want to make a wasted trip.

As for Vögele—you're right, I totally forgot. I don't go there much anymore because they're way too pricey. And if I remember correctly, their jeans were always shaped like carrots.

Edit: Okay, I just sent inquiries to both West and Seiersberg. We might be able to make a smarter move once they reply about where to find plus-size clothes, especially pants. Though, one time they told me the H&M in Seiersberg had a plus-size section, I show up, and—nothing. It wasn't there.

West was still seeing a surplus this spring, but I’ll have a better read on where things stand in two weeks. I’m 48, and honestly, shopping at Primark is a total toss-up for me—maybe an 18 or 20 out of 100. It’s basically a lottery; you can walk in during the morning and find something decent, then by the afternoon, the selection just goes to hell. And don't even get me started on their jeans. I have never, ever found a pair that actually fit. The cuts are absolute disasters. If I want actual denim, I’m heading straight to H&M instead.

Where can I find some decent jeans in larger sizes around here?

I think Kohl's might actually have some pretty good styles, but their denim feels way too thin, so they just seem to rip at the thighs almost immediately. And honestly, it feels like Target has really let their quality slide lately, if you ask me.

I’ve heard people talk about that famous Amadeus plus-size line, but the one I went to had maybe a handful of options that felt incredibly shallow—even though the sales clerk kept insisting they were designed with more depth. I did manage to find one pair that fit me perfectly, but the fabric was just... weird. It has a ton of stretch, but the color has this strange shimmer to it that I can't quite put my finger on.

Seriously, I am recommending Mango Violeta denim with all my heart.
Everything I’ve picked up from them has been amazing. Honestly, finding decent jeans around here feels like a full-time job. I’m a standard US size 12, and let me tell you, nothing at Zara fits me right—I can force myself into them, but it’s a total struggle. Occasionally, I might find a decent cut over at C&A, and if I do, I just grab my usual 12.
At Violeta, though, I buy a 12 every single time. I’ve actually bought about 7 or 8 pairs by now, and every single one has fit like it was custom-made for me.

Is there any news regarding H&M's plus-size selection?

I don't feel any smarter after emailing both West and Seiersberg. Their responses were useless. They told me that Seiersberg carries Ulla Popken—they completely missed my point because I specifically asked which stores carry sizes 18 and up. I already know Adler and Peek & Cloppenburg carry some items. But they said nothing about H&M. I asked West too, and they just sent me a link to their website and suggested I call individual stores to ask myself. 🙄

So, I ended up skipping West after all. Seiersberg is still a total bust, even though they supposedly "reorganized" everything. We hit up Murpark this time instead, and H&M actually has some decent stock there—plus they’ve got a dedicated home section, which is a first for me.
Primark was honestly a win, though. They had an awesome selection of tees, tops, tunics, flannel shirts, and dresses 🎉🎉🎉, and most stuff goes up to a size 20
.

So, there's actually plus-size clothing over at the H&M in Westgate. It’s not even in that specific spot where the wall used to say "sizes 44-54," if you know what I mean—the staff there will probably know exactly where I'm talking about. They go up to size 54 and 4XL, I think. And honestly, you can find stuff for pretty much any age group there too.

Hey,
Does anyone know where I could pick up some over-the-knee boots that actually fit people with thicker calves? Maybe an online recommendation would work, as long as they're legit. I guess you guys are my last hope.. 😒

Planet Footwear carried those plus-size boots last year, so they probably have them again this season. There was also a boutique right at the intersection of Vinodradska and Ilica, so I guess I might head over there in the next few days to check out what they have in stock. 😁

I couldn't agree more! Their Masha leggings are easily the best.

Please let me know if you find anything or where... I need some for an outfit by the 15th. 😉 So I'll have enough time to hunt them down if I do.

I have slightly better luck with my selections—I actually managed to snag some high boots in Mass during last winter.

Getting ready to hit up those sales in the city—checking out Seiersberg and Center West 😁 and I need some intel on where they actually stock decent plus sizes.
Aside from the usual suspects like C&A or H&M, I’m thinking about hitting up Bonita, Adler, or Gerry Weber to see if anything sticks. Honestly, I can't stand Ullu Popken.

That’s my exact plan. I always hit up Peek. As for plus-size options—H&M is my go-to. Last year, I asked if they carried plus sizes at the Sears location. They told me yes. I show up there, and nothing. Now I’m asking customer service again, and they swear they have stock in both Sears and West. Well, we'll see about that.

I've never heard of Bonita, so I clearly missed out. And I could never find anything at Adler; it feels too much like Ulta or those high-end boutique styles, which usually end up being way too expensive. I can't remember exactly what size you are, but Peek is fantastic for anyone up to a size 12.

P.S. Are you heading there on the 13th? 🤣

Help, I have a size 14/16 dress listed in the ads and I just can't get rid of it. Please help me out 🙂. Honestly, I dropped the price way too low. It originally cost much more than this, and it's high-quality American retail, not some cheap stuff from overseas...

I’m on a desperate hunt for some decent, colorful trousers—and I don't mean sweats or leggings, just your standard, everyday pants. Does anyone have any leads on where I might actually find them? I’ve already wasted my time scouring the racks at Target, Old Navy, Gap, and Banana Republic, but nothing seems to hit the mark. I’m looking for a US size 14/16.

I'm not entirely sure what style you're aiming for, but maybe something like this:

this is C&A.
By the way, that specific style of patterned trousers has actually fallen out of fashion recently, so those fast-fashion retailers that focus heavily on current trends probably don't have them in stock right now.
Your best bet would be looking at more traditional department stores like C&A, Takko, or even Kohl's and Target.
Regarding your size, a 12/14 is still considered a standard size in most American stores rather than "plus size"—at least in the places I mentioned—so you can definitely expand your search to the regular clothing sections instead of just looking in plus-size departments.

Nah, just regular pants with a print on them—like maybe some printed denim or even trousers made from business fabrics, you know, satin, cotton, linen, whatever, just with a print.
