Lisa Myers 🙂 😬 🙂
Someone help a guy out here
That first Black woman is great and I’d go for her, but none of them have any assets... right? ☕

Lisa Myers said:Never tuck your shirt in. It looks fine in photos, but in real life? Not if you have a belly. Absolutely not.

Exactly.
Those pictures are obviously Photoshopped—especially that last one.
There's no way women with that build have a perfect waistline and zero belly. Impossible.

Yeah, computers work wonders—there's no way you won't find women with curves.

Just wear it the way HB styled it—honestly, I love how it looks in that first photo, it’s much more flattering for our curves, maybe even a little daring with the skirt length. In my opinion, pairing a long skirt with a long shirt just doesn't work.🤷It’s a different vibe entirely—it just makes you look older.😁

At least, it's not for me. I’d end up looking even heavier than I am.😁

Right now, I wear it like this—I just pull the belt higher up on my waist, which does a pretty decent job of hiding my (well, 12—actually 7 years old now) pregnancy bump.🤣

And I'll be wearing it like this too.

Google "long skirt"—there are tons of beautiful, inspiring photos out there.😍

I’m totally feeling the vibe of the woman in the first photo, the one in the black skirt and white top. That skirt length is perfect, maybe even a little longer. And just to be clear, I wasn't thinking anything inappropriate. I also seriously doubt this adds any years to anyone's age—nobody looks older than they actually are here, let alone more.

Every other version above (except for that first one) feels fake to me. Those models aren't actually plus-sized, and they don't look realistic because they're clearly retouched. Or, like the women in the photos below, they aren't actually heavy. I could never pull that look off; I would look ridiculous.

To be fair, we all have different body types, and we have to keep that in mind. Some people can definitely make these outfits work, but I certainly can't.

Yeah, I was thinking the exact same thing about that photo.😉

I wouldn't go any further than that—not in my opinion.😍
That’s how aunts dress, anyway, and I certainly don't put myself in that category. 😠

Not even the others.🙂

(Though, given my age... let's be realistic here.)😳.

And besides, what you said is true—we all have different body types.🤣

My stomach is relatively small compared to my hips (though they've definitely grown over the last few years 😬), so I usually wear maxi skirts just under the bust to hide it 😁, assuming they're long enough, since I love them hitting right at the ankle.

Where can I find denim jackets like this? I was at the mall yesterday and didn't see anything. Does that Amadeus warehouse near the suburbs still operate?

Joshua Moore19 said:Hey everyone—I just launched a new group on Facebook called Shell Corner, and I’d love for us to hang out over there too. I’m envisioning it as a space for all those little joys, life experiences, and recipes—basically, a spot where we aren't just stuck talking about fashion. It would be great to see you all there... :-)

Honey, drop the link for that FB group because I can't find it anywhere. 🤷

Anyway, I picked up a blue maxi skirt at H&M for $28 🙂
We'll see how it goes. I love being able to just sink my hands into those big skirts while the kids run wild in the park. 😍

Saw them at the boutique in the city, but they were pricey—well over $67, and I'm just not dropping that kind of cash 😠
I'll find them for cheap somewhere. I actually spotted them for about 20 bucks once, but even that felt like too much for something I'll only wear a handful of times.
And trust me, you can definitely find them for even less than that.😬

I wasn't entirely sure if I was allowed to just drop links here—didn't want to break any rules—so I hesitated...

I couldn't find any blue ones, honestly—just black—but I'm actually really happy with it, mostly because of those pockets...😉

I was in Manhattan yesterday checking out some shops. Around my area in the city, I can't find any micro bikinis, just standard two-piece sets (which are actually great), but my boobs just won't fit into them, haha. In Manhattan, the bikini tops were beautiful—they run small too. If you’re someone with a smaller bust than a D or E cup, they might work, but the cups are shallow and the back straps are pretty wide.
I did manage to find exactly one top in New York that actually fits! It isn't too tight, it feels high quality, but my chest looks so prominent in it that I feel like everyone would be staring at me. There are other styles that make me look a bit more modest, so I think I'll stick to those...
I also picked up two shirts and a kimono, which I’ve been hunting for here for a while. I bought one (the one from Manhattan), but skipped the other because it was too short for my taste. I'll probably just layer it over a longer white camisole. I absolutely love the kimono; it covers my backside better than I expected, and it hangs much nicer than it did in the photos. The kimono is an XS-S, and since I usually wear an XL (or XX-XL in jeans due to my curves, so I can't really squeeze into smaller sizes), seeing that they also carry M-L means these cuts are seriously oversized. The patterned shirt from NY is an XL, and this white one from Manhattan is an XXL. The fabric is amazing, and it actually makes me look a bit slimmer.😁 Just $17 was there. Honestly, Manhattan surprised me with the selection; ever since that New Yorker opened up around here, I haven't even bothered going elsewhere.View on imgur
Just thought I'd share in case anyone else is looking for something similar!

Those little fairies look lovely, and I’m particularly drawn to the kimono. I can't quite tell—did you pick that up at Macy's too? If so, what was the damage? 🙂

Kimono is from New York! $40As for me, I’m just sticking with a plain white T-shirt.

Found out the other day that they're back to huge numbers at the arena.
Glad about it. Closer than Westgate.
Plus their stuff is actually good.🙂 They have these great blouses, even if they are all in $60
blue, red, or that dull pink.

I actually managed to snag a massive denim jacket at H&M in the Arena today for $50. If my memory serves, it was somewhere in the 48-54 range. Then again, maybe I just missed everything else in larger sizes, or perhaps I’m just blind. 😬

Anyway, the hunt for the jacket is officially over 😁

Have you guys seen any Disney tees somewhere?
Specifically, I’ve been hunting for Minnie and Mickey since the start of summer, but I haven't tracked them down in San Diego yet... at least nothing bigger than a Large. They had some at Target, but they were sold out—they only got one of each size in stock. 😢Maybe check online... 🙂
