When it comes to H&M, I usually grab a size 12 or 14 in other shops, but at their place, I always have to go way up in sizing. Honestly, I can't even squeeze into their standard 12 or 14. 🤷
If I pick up a basic white button-down at C&A, a size 12 fits just fine, but at H&M? Even a size 16 wouldn't let me get the buttons closed.

So, I’m at H&M, right? And honestly, if I grab one of those non-stretch shirts in a size 46, it actually fits me perfectly. Like, it hangs just right. But if I try a 44? Forget it. My chest looks like the buttons are about to go flying across the store like little projectiles... and don't even get me started on other shops where a 48 feels like it was made for a toddler. I mean, with my build, I can walk into H&M, grab a Medium with some stretch, and it fits like a dream. If I told anyone else my actual size while claiming I wear a Medium, they wouldn't just laugh at me—they’d think I was straight-up delusional... I'm not about to buy clothes that highlight every single roll of bacon on my stomach or give me a massive muffin top, you know? It's exhausting. Even my friend, who officially wears a size 52 but has to hunt down their XXXL just to breathe, is dealing with this mess. This is the first time I've ever heard of someone actually needing to size *up* from their label just to feel comfortable...

Hey, what's up... just me again. Honestly? I'm losing my mind over here. Everything feels like such a mess lately, you know? Like, you try to do one thing right and then ten other things just... explode. It's constant. Just total chaos. I was sitting there thinking about how much easier life would be if people just... I don't even know, acted like adults for five minutes? Is that too much to ask? Probably. Definitely too much. Anyway... just venting. My head is spinning. kaže:
I AM ACTUALLY GOING TO LOSE MY MIND. Like, seriously. So the other day I’m feeling myself, right? I pull out these old size 42 pants—the ones from back in the day—and they fit! I'm standing there like, "Okay, yeah, I actually did lose some weight..." feeling all proud and stuff... and then?! Then I go to H&M and pick out these absolutely gorgeous pair of pants, right? And I can't even get into a size 46... I mean, ARE THEY INSANE??? Is everyone at H&M losing their minds or what... 🤣 😍 Man, I’m telling you... these lower leg pieces? Total joke. They won't even get past my knees for me... and honestly, if they tried anything higher up, it would be a disaster... just way too much fabric everywhere. Like, what is their design process even based on? Seriously, what are they actually cutting over there?... 😍 Man, I seriously had to go absolutely ham on some food just to feel human again... like, I was starving. Just totally wiped out. 🤣 🤷

So, uh, I don't know if this happened to you too... but like, when I was gaining weight—going from a size 4 to a size 8—I kept my old size 4 jeans tucked away, thinking "one day I'll fit back into these..." but then, fast forward, I actually lost the weight and tried to squeeze back into them, and guess what? Not a single pair of size 4s in any store actually fit me... The reason? Well, since I had been expanding, the fabric itself just stretched out so much that they weren't even a real size 4 anymore... it was totally different from the original... 🤣

Ugh, okay, can we talk about H&M for a second? Because seriously... their sizing is absolutely unhinged. Like, I don’t know what kind of math they’re using over there, but it makes zero sense. Honestly, if I’m usually a size 4 or 6 in basically every other store—you know, like Target or Gap—I walk into H&M and suddenly I’m fitting into a 2 or a 4?! It’s wild... totally ridiculous... how does that even happen?

Man, I honestly can't tell if it was just one specific AI model that messed everything up or what... like, it feels so weird... 🤷

And I actually care about this too... seriously.

Actually, I think the design might be at fault, because I went out and bought some new pants yesterday at a different store, and they were a size 12 and they fit perfectly.😍

Sales are officially here. C&A has some massive deals going on right now. H&M is doing it too. And we aren't just talking about summer gear—they have long-sleeve stuff in stock as well.

Girls, the sizing at the new Reserved shop is surprisingly generous. I actually managed to squeeze into pants two sizes smaller than what I usually wear. 👍

Hey, has anyone spotted this shirt at H&M?
http://www.hm.com/hr/product/51899?article=51899-C

I usually wear an XL, but I'm wondering if an L might work. Sometimes the smaller sizes at H&M actually fit me better, almost like their cuts run large. :/

Also, has anyone tried this dress? I see they go up to a size 12.

Honestly, I’ve reached the point where Target, Old Navy, and maybe even Kohl's are the only places I can actually find anything decent. 🤦
At H&M, it’s just an endless loop of skinny jeans and those basic long-sleeve tees—though, honestly, you probably need to grab another black one, but I'm out of sizes at my place. So yeah... just needed to vent for a second. 🙂Anyway, I usually rock a size 18-20-22 depending on how the fabric fits.

Stela, I didn't catch a glimpse of that dress, but it looks absolutely stunning 😍

Ugh, I feel you. Honestly, don't let it get you down. Maybe try browsing some sites like ASOS, New Look, Yours Clothing, or Mango? They all have decent plus-size lines. A ton of girls order from them all the time, so if you’re not feeling up to doing a solo order, maybe just ask someone to tag along on an order. It actually works out better sometimes when more people chip in anyway, since then the shipping costs end up being way cheaper.
So, if you're looking for plus sizes around here, stores like Kohls or Target usually carry some decent options. If you happen to be in the city, apparently the Lindex over at the local shopping center keeps a better selection in stock, though I haven't actually made it over there myself. Also, that Ulla Popken in the mall carries mostly large sizes, but I've heard it’s pretty pricey.
I mean, I’m sure there are other shops out there—online or whatever—that carry larger sizes, these just happen to be the most famous ones. Don't let it get to you. All us girls who need bigger sizes are basically in survival mode right now. It'll get better, I guess. 😉

I'm not even sad, honestly. I’m just straight-up frustrated. 😬
Thanks, man. Much appreciated. 🙂
Thanks for the recommendations. I’m currently hanging out in Seattle, but we actually have a Takko here too. 🙂 I honestly don't know why I never bothered hunting through the absolute trash heaps of the internet just to find some gear. There's so much garbage out there, it's not even worth the headache. 🤦 I don't even bother trying out random stuff anymore... I already know exactly what I'm getting myself into, and what I'm not. I very, *very* rarely end up screwing things up. 🙂

Wait, who even is Dorothy Perkins? Is that a person or some boutique brand from an old catalog? Honestly, I feel like I’m losing my grip on reality lately. One minute I’m trying to find a decent pair of jeans at a mall in Chicago, and the next, I’m staring at names that sound like they belong in a Victorian novel. It’s all getting a bit much, isn't it? Just one thing after another. Anyway, what were we actually talking about? I lost the thread. Typical me. 😍
Back when they had their own little shop in San Francisco, I used to hit them up all the time. Honestly, I was wearing a size 10 or 12 back then, but whatever, it doesn't even matter now. ☕

I’m on the hunt for a black knee-length coat, ideally something tailored with an A-line cut. I have a pretty tricky body type to dress—narrow shoulders and a small bust, but really wide hips and a backside that basically makes me look like Kim Kardashian in that area. 😛 Because of that, every coat I try on ends up being way too baggy in the shoulders, yet I can never actually button them up around my waist. It’s frustrating, and I’m honestly not sure where to start looking. I’m roughly a US size 16 or 18. If anyone has some advice that isn't just pointing me toward an online store—since I really need to try things on in person first—I’d love to hear it.

Those sizes at Target are just off for me—numbers 44 and 46 feel like they're easily two sizes too small compared to what they should be.

Regarding where to find better options for fuller figures, I think my best bet so far has been Kik. I usually shop at Kohl's, but recently I picked up three pairs of jeans at Kik and they were only about 6 or 7 dollars each.

True; the selection isn't massive, but at least the sizing is actually realistic.

Lady_Tila; if you ask me, you can definitely find some good stuff at C&A, Kik, or Takko.

Look, this probably won't do you much good, but I'm actually one of those people too—same exact "personal" description and number. I picked mine up ages ago at an old Emmezeta back when they actually used to carry clothing. Honestly, it was easily the best one I ever owned. 🙂

I mean, I guess I noticed that they actually have a pretty solid selection of jackets and coats over in California.
I mean, if I’m being totally honest, my go-to is definitely their shop over in the West Side downtown area. It’s just, you know, not every single location carries the exact same stuff, and this specific spot seems to hit that sweet spot for me better than the others. I guess it just covers everything I actually need without me having to hunt around, which makes life a whole lot easier, I suppose.
So, I recently picked up this winter jacket, you know, for like... I don't even know exactly how much it cost, but it was one of those things where you just kind of grab it and hope for the best. Anyway, I guess I'm just rambling now, but I figured I'd mention it because... well, I don't know, maybe I'm just overthinking the whole purchase. $67And honestly, I guess there’s even a "normal" amount to go around, if you want to call it that.😁

I mean, I guess if you really want to get into it, we could talk about it, but honestly? It’s just kind of exhausting to even think about sometimes. I don't know, maybe I'm just being dramatic or whatever, but it feels like everything is constantly shifting under our feet, you know? Like, one minute you think you've got a handle on things—maybe you finally settled on a decent coffee shop in downtown Chicago or figured out your commute on the CTA—and then, bam, everything just goes sideways again. It’s just... a lot. I probably shouldn't be venting like this, I guess, but it's hard not to feel a bit worked up when it seems like nothing stays consistent for more than five minutes. Not that I'm saying anyone is specifically at fault, it's just how things seem to be rolling lately, I suppose. Just a thought. kaže:
I don't know, man, maybe it's just me, but these numbers at Walmart are totally tripping me out. Like, I was looking at them earlier and honestly? Numbers 44 and 46 feel like they're at least two steps behind everything else, if that makes any sense. I guess I might be overthinking it, but they just seem way lower than they should be, you know?

If you’re asking me what the absolute best move has been for getting more bang for your buck lately, I guess I’d have to say it’s definitely Kik. I’ve been hitting up their spots for my shopping, and honestly, I just picked up three pairs of jeans there the other day—and get this—they were only like six or seven bucks a pair. It’s kind of wild how cheap they can be if you know where to look, I suppose.

Takko; I mean, their selection isn't exactly massive or anything, but I guess the prices are actually pretty reasonable.

James Martin4: I mean, if you’re looking for that kind of stuff, I guess you could probably find it over at Target, maybe even Kohl's or something like Takko if they have a branch nearby, but honestly? It's all pretty much scattered around those spots.

I mean, look, the numbers at Lidl are actually legit if you bother to look at them, but honestly, man, don't go underestimating their whole "viral factor"—it’s like, potentially massive, I guess. It could blow up way bigger than anyone expects, maybe even out of nowhere.😁 I mean, seriously, just don't even bother—unless you’re some kind of specialist or whatever, I really wouldn't waste my cash on cotton stuff. It just doesn't have any stretch to it, you know? It's super stiff, and I guess if you aren't expecting that, you're just gonna end up annoyed.
I mean, I’ve actually picked up some gym gear and denim at Lidl before—you know, the stuff with plenty of spandex—and honestly, I’ve been pretty happy with it. It doesn't lose its shape or get all stretched out and saggy after a few washes, which is kind of a relief, I guess.

Honestly, I guess my shopping trips around here just depend on which store I happen to be hitting up at the moment. To be real with you, there are plenty of places I wouldn't even bother stepping foot in anymore because their quality is just pretty mediocre, and honestly, they aren't even cheaper than somewhere like Target or Old Navy.

Honestly, Takko actually has some killer jeans and pants over in their XL section—like, they specifically cater to people with bigger curves or a more prominent stomach, which is great. And if you ask me, the quality seems pretty solid too, because I’m out here trying to squeeze into these things and I can tell they aren't going to rip the second I move. I mean, as someone who identifies with the whole "fuller figure" vibe, I need stuff that actually holds up, otherwise I’ll be clawing at my clothes just to breathe, you know?
I mean, honestly, if you really think about it, I guess the only ones from the Takka crew who actually managed to survive all that constant, nonstop dragging and bullshit were the Trapke guys. It was just a total grind, you know? Maybe they had some extra grit or something, but yeah, they were basically the only ones left standing after all that tension.🤣

So, I went ahead and dropped some cash on these dark skinny jeans from Marks & Spencer too. I've had them for like a year now, I guess, and I find myself reaching for them pretty much all the time.
So, I was totally bragging about how much weight I’ve lost lately, but honestly? It turns out I was just being delusional because my favorite jeans have basically given up on life. They've stretched out so much around the butt and knees that they look absolutely tragic, and yeah, I guess I really do look terrible in them.🙄

Maybe I will... let me check with my sister tomorrow and I'll get back to you. She wanted to grab some stuff for the concert, but honestly, I have no clue if she'll even like anything from this site :/
She's impossible when it comes to picking clothes...
