How exactly do you guys handle that wave? 🤔

If I spot a sale at the mall in downtown, I’m definitely heading in for some shopping. I'll pick up a few things—and yeah, I'll admit their selection isn't exactly high fashion or trendy; it’s mostly that "mom style" stuff, but you can still find gems. Usually, what I grab lasts me at least a whole season, sometimes even longer. 🤷

Someone mentioned buying from BP. I checked out their stuff, but now I’m totally lost on these sizes... According to their chart, I might need to go up two full sizes from my usual. Like, I wear a 38 in pants, but looking at their measurements, I'm not even sure a 40 would fit. And for shirts, a 42 becomes a 46... Does anyone actually know how their sizing runs? Should I just stick to my regular size or follow the chart?

I’m also really happy with C&A's clothing selection. There are certain pieces I've been wearing for several seasons now—everything from trousers and shirts to coats and jackets... They have a great variety, honestly better than H&M, in my opinion.

If you mean Bon Prix, I order at least 5 or 6 items from their catalog or website pretty regularly.
I’m usually a size 10-12.
Everything from them fits me perfectly. Pants, jackets, underwear, skirts, dresses... everything.🤷

I was thinking about Bon Prix. When you order, do you go by the sizes you usually wear, or do you actually follow their specific size chart?

I wasn't quite sure where to post this question

Basically, I’m looking to order a nursing bra from eBay. I’m skipping anything with clips because I’m just too clumsy for them; I need those stretchy ones you can just pull on.
But now, their sizing is driving me absolutely insane.

I actually found a great one that’s exactly the style I’m after.

http://m.ebay.com/itm?itemId=251571628554&roken=cUgayN

I thought a 3XL would be plenty, but then I see it says the bust measurement is only 84cm. An M is listed for a 68cm band. That sounds more like something a sixth grader would wear, not a woman who's actually breastfeeding!!!

For context, my bust measurement is 106cm, and my underbust is 95cm.

What would that translate to in UK sizing? I see they have numbers like 40 or 42. Every single size chart I find online is so confusing that I'm even more lost than when I started.

I used to wear a 95C or D depending on the model—sometimes I even squeezed into an 85. Honestly, why can't they all just agree on a universal sizing system?

Please, someone, help a girl out.

Based on my usual size. I didn't even bother looking at the charts🤷. Maybe those specific sizes just happen to fit my build perfectly...😁

No problem. Give it a shot; you can return items for free, and they usually process refunds within about two weeks.
They have quite a few good items—not too crazy, just right for those of us who prefer a bit more substance.😍

I'm just waiting for them to drop their fall collection.☕

I won't be ordering from them anymore—but I do have one more cardigan left in my closet, size 10/12. I remember always grabbing one size smaller from those German catalogs (like Quelle, BP, or Neckermann) compared to the French ones (BP, LR, or 3 Suisse); so, even from 3S, I still have a blouse in a 14 and a cardigan in a 12/14. Honestly, I always found the quality from the French brands much better than these others—though they were pricier, too.
I had no idea BP was still around; I haven't seen any of those catalogs in ages.

Similarly, I used to buy bottoms a size up from both types of catalogs—which is pretty much how I shop now, anyway. 😁

Just for comparison (since I don't know where else you shop), looking at what's within reach right now: I'm an M in H&M, a 10 or 12 in others, a 14 in C&A, a 10 in Macy's (for pants), and a Large in Zara (for pants)...

You just have to try it and see. You might get it wrong—it happened to me all the time, and not just when I started, since every model varies—but you can always return it, so...

Man, those clearance sales at Target are such a letdown.
The boho-style maxi skirts are actually decent at $10.00, and they go up to size 28, too.
Blazers and trousers are sitting at $39.90.
They’ve also got some lighter jackets for around $69.90.

I ordered something about a month ago. When nothing showed up, I sent an email. This was the response I got:

"Dear customer, we are no longer operating, or rather the company is closing, so the order will not be delivered. Sincerely, M.G. Catalog Sales LLC."

Great. First off, they could have actually notified me. Second—I’m really curious to see what happens to everyone who already paid upfront. And third—their website is still live. Sure, you can't place orders, but there isn't a single notice saying they're out of business.

@Lisa Myers, which shop are we talking about? Don't want to walk into a total disaster.
Anyone know which place has the best selection for plus size stuff? I mean, specifically here in the city. I thought it was CC1 West, but honestly, their quality seems to have taken a dive lately.

But, I totally forgot to mention 😵 😬.

Good price.

Supposedly, it’s the only foreign online shop left in America that actually works—something like La Redoute or whatever... where bras go for $300-$167 🙄.

Even Bon Prix went under at 3 p.m.
Came quietly and entered into legend😢

What is so critical in our country that even they had to leave?🤷

So, what you're saying is we're stuck with La Redoute as our only option now?
Everything there is overpriced; I've personally never found anything worth ordering from them.🙂🙂🙂

Look, La Redoute is insanely pricey and the shipping takes forever—like three months if I remember right. But honestly? The stuff I *did* get was legit high quality. I still have some basic tees from five years ago that I wear around the house, and not a single seam has popped or even budged. For example, I've got this bright fuchsia cotton shirt I wash at 160 or 140 degrees and it’s practically indestructible. My husband used to snag my underwear and shirts too, and they held up great (even though we both just grabbed the cheapest stuff they had). Haven't ordered lately mostly because that wait time drives me nuts. Too impatient for me. 😛

Honestly, I haven't placed an order in years—and I still have plenty of stuff left over, which is all perfectly fine!
Plus, they look great, so...
If I were ever in a position where I actually had to choose (unlike my situation before), I’d definitely still be ordering from them.

You can get three items at once. It’s a bit pricier, sure, though there are cheaper options available—but the quality remains top-notch regardless.
