You know, the kind they use for basement storage cages in apartment complexes, or maybe those big industrial container enclosures you see scattered around cities like Chicago or Philly.

I was just sitting here thinking about how much easier life used to be when you didn't have to hunt things down, like where on earth you can actually buy a decent little measuring cup for laundry detergent these days, because I remember back in the day they used to just tuck one right inside the box with the powder, but apparently that hasn't been the standard practice for quite some time now...

It really doesn't exist. I checked at a specialty shop, but they don't carry it. Honestly, I don't even know the name of the place well enough to try ordering it online.
I suppose I could order from China, but by the time it actually arrives and after customs takes their massive cut—no thanks.

Hey everyone, wondering if anyone has a lead on where I can pick up a small padlock. It's kind of tough to say without giving away my exact spot, but just generally speaking—what kind of shop carries these?
Need it to lock up my locker or whatever while I'm crashing at a hostel for a few days. What do you guys think—better to go with a combo lock or the old-school key type?

You could head down to a local hardware store, check out some specialized agricultural supply shops, or even hit up the big-box retailers like Home Depot, Lowe's, or Walmart... You might also have some luck checking in with a professional locksmith.

I found them at Interspar, so I picked some up. They probably have them in the hardware aisle at other grocery stores too.
